The boat was very well presented, clean, and tidy. The instructions provided for finding the boat and parking space were good (better than the satnav!) and the area was quiet and felt safe despite it's proximity to a busy (but friendly) bar and the city centre. The instructions for making use of the facilities on board were also good, not overwhelming and covered what you need to know to be comfortable.

There was nothing I didn't like that wasn't just a feature inherent to living on a boat for a few days! If you're up for something a little different then everything here is tip top.

Delightful little boat, with plenty of space for fun. Wish I'd stayed longer as think it could be great fun for a long weekend exploring the city. Was a short walk into town and a lovely pizza place on the doorstep for dinner and drinks in the evening.

I had privately messaged the owner to request that the second bed (sofa bed) be set up ready for us as we were two friends travelling together. I purposely booked it for the two separate beds, and had asked for both to be made up as we were very short on time. We were going to a wedding reception, so after dropping off our stuff was a fast turn around to go out and I knew we wouldn't have time to wrangle with setting up a sofa bed - they had confirmed that would be fine for them to do but when we arrived it hadn't been done. We are good friends so it wasn't an issue but we ended up having to share the main double bed which was comfortable - just impossible to get in and out of without disturbing each other in the morning which was a bit of a pain.

The check in was really simple, Mark sent great directions and instructions on arrival. The boat is lovely, we felt instantly relaxed. We stayed on the Millie Grace and it was great being able to park the car right next to the boat. We walked into the city centre within 10 minutes and went to the theatre, had lovely meals at Ego and Browns and drinks along Division street. We also visited Dorothy Pax and True Loves right next to the boat. Unfortunately Victoria Junction was closed as it was the bank holiday weekend. We got an Uber back from town one day as we were feeling lazy but it’s an easy stroll. I’m 6ft and felt the boat was spacious, I liked that it felt higher at the ceiling than we expected and it was so well equipped too. We would definitely return!

The bed did feel a little like we were rolling together but it was comfy enough and long enough. It would benefit from a bit of a refresh/deep clean but it was lovely and certainly not unclean!

quaint and makes a nice change from a hotel room- well equipped

lighting getting onto boat at night could do with a sensor light as the steps are very dark into the boat- Absolutely no fault of the accommodation, but don’t forget provisions for food as it was a complete nightmare getting a delivery, they can’t get near the boat due to barriers and we had to go hunting for them! (avoid kebabish) food was awful, took over 2 hours to arrive, was freezing and soaked in chilli so inedible!

It was a lovely night the bed was cosy and it was lovely to have the tele in bed. We was able to hook up a dvd player to watch a film.although a double adapter would have been easier as there was only one socket. loved being on the boat though. It was an exsperiance im glad i had so thankyou😊.. I shower was really decent for a boat i wasnt exspecting tht..

Even with the heater on the lowest setting it was still really hot on the legs when sat on the settee. Could have done with a little mesh rack screwed to the wall next to the bedroom window to store my phone and bottle of water for the night as i was up the inner side of the bed.only a minor thing. I would have liked our fairy lights to come on but they never did 😳..

The boat has been kitted as a high quality ‘hotel apartment’ for the price of a standard city centre room. it’s self catering but everything is there for that - and you can eat in the bars and cafes minutes away on the quayside; some even deliver!

Was a little cold on arrival - but that’s because you’re on the water on the 1st Dec! soon warmed up when we turned the heating on. shower was a bit slow, as it’s a boat pump system and hot water tank. however, it’s no problem if you’ve stayed in a caravan / Motorhome and you just factor in the time.

The fact it’s a boat! Was great to be on a boat on the water yet so close to the city centre. Well situated.

Not much drinking water provided or much tea /coffee/ milk - especially as nearby breakfast cafes mentioned in info were closed. Slight sewagey smell on board. We chose it over a hotel room which would actually have been cheaper, we were hoping the boat would have felt more hotel like I guess for the cost?

Really loved staying here, something neither of us have done before. It was clean, tidy and well equipped. On our day of departure we met the owner on the off chance, Mark was very polite, and we had a little chat. Recommend staying here, even just for the experience! It would have cost us the same to stay in a chain hotel, but decided we would like to try something different and also independent. We are so glad we did. We will be planning another stay at some point!

Nothing, exceeded expectations

We liked the tranquilly of being on a boat. It was really nice to look out and see the water which was relaxing. A nice change from being in a hotel. The cafe nearby was really good for breakfast it was nice to support a local business.

A small fold up table that could be used for beverages next to the sofa would have been nice when watching the tv to avoid any spillages.

We went to the local cafe for breakfast. It was very good and the staff were very friendly. Helped us by telling us about tram stops and local things to do.

The only thing is If we stayed again I would probably ask for the second double bed to be made up. Bed was very comfy but my husband is tall and could have done with stretching out a bit.
