Very comfortable & convenient for me as doing work at British Sugar factory nearby. Extra bonus as such great food at restaurant. Thank you for my stay, will do so again. TV & hot drinks available in room, clean & comfortable giving lots of space & two large double beds. Thanks guys.

Might be nice if snacks for breakfast available, otherwise all good thank you. W/C plumbing problems, but soon fixed when staff notified & caretaker/plumber employed within an hour or so of notification. Well done.

The property is very well situated for people using the A1 as it is directly off it. The rooms are basic but clean and functional. You can park your car directly outside your room so no lugging cases/bags about. Also has an excellent Indian restaurant on site.

The downsides are that as it is so close to the A1 there is quite a bit of traffic noise, especially if you have to have the window open. It is also quite close to the main East Coast railway line so you do get some train noise. The TV in the room is very small and most of the channels don’t work.

Great location just off the A1, the room was excellent, clean tidy and plenty of space. I could also park my motorcycle right out side the front door of my accommodation. The staff were first class, very friendly and helpful. I eat in the attached Indian restaurant which was also excellent, it was very busy but I was able to get a table no problem. The food was extremely good. Over all it was excellent value for money and I will definitely visit again.

The size of the room. Clean. Large bathroom area with shower. Good water pressure too. Lots of hot water. One room could be used by a family. Two double beds and cots available. Plenty of storage for one person. Excellent, award winning Indian and Bengali restaurant next door. Staff are helpful and friendly. Felt private and secure. Easy access to A1 and A46.

Being picky, it would have been nice to have had blinds that allowed daylight through rather than blackout blinds and curtains. Wall mounted TV's would have been easier to watch. I stayed 6 nights and would liked to have had my bin emptied more often. However, other people could enjoy this level of privacy.

Quiet area, parking right infront of your door and it’s generally just a cute little place to stay at. The staff were nice. It is spacious inside and perfect for couples or families.

The place was good however you just need to remember between the rooms it’s all one wall apart so you may hear other people speaking and laughing at different hours of the nights which can be a little disruptive. Also when it comes to food etc. it will be a bit harder to order food as it’s a little far from other restaurants.

Well located next to the main road exit - Big rooms with a lot of space, the bedroom was a bit old (it is one of the last one who haven't been renovated yet) but it was clean and well equiped . The bathroom was brilliant ! Freshly renovated it was clean and big with a beautiful shower ( our advise would be to to add a little furniture in the bathroom to put toothbrush & toilet bags on . The Indian restaurant & bar just next to the bedrooms is great . Very Good food and nice personal here

The location of the place is quite close to the train road & main road so the noise is a bit present . It was okay for just one night . The windows of the room also let a lot of light comes in despite the drapes .

Our standard double room was spacious and had 2 double beds. The bathroom was also spacious and the shower was very good. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities, a desk and chair, wardrobe and a comfortable 2 seater.

Lighting could have been better and the outside light did not work. The TV remotes also did not work. Electric jug was too large to fill in the basin.

Above average sized bedroom and bathroom. Bathroom was intended for the disabled traveller. Shower was exceptionally good.

Better quality toilet paper needed. Unfortunately diners from the restaurant parked in front of the rooms, which made parking difficult. Carpark surface was gravel/shale which was potholed, which made parking difficult, it was impossible not to carry the residue into the room on our shoes. Seemed to be populated by tradesmen, with large vans, during the week.

Quiet room on the end of the row of 10 chalet style rooms was perfect. Don't worry about being near the trainline, yo won't hear a thing - it's the A1 end you don't want to be near.

Please get some better pillows. Same ones this time as a year ago....Flat as a pancake, and still need to be propped up with bath towels to get any height to them. Otherwise, the beds are very comfy, as are the duvets.

I was still quite upbeat after reading some of the previous reviews on here about Ashiana's, but I really was pleasantly surprised. The rooms are located separate from the restaurant, in the form of 7 or so chalet style room, all ground level, and all with their own front door. Way, way bigger than any other hotel room in the Newark Area, there was tonnes of room, even with two double beds, a sofa and a wardrobe an desk in the room. Kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits all clean and tidy. Bed well used, but very comfy, as were the pillows. I slept like a log! So quiet, with the occasional purr of a train going by, or the gentle hum of the A1...but nothing that would interrupt your sleep. Homely feel inside each chalet/room...tastefully decorated and not the carbon copy 'Travel Lodge' feel, which I dislike. This room was much nicer to relax in. The bathroom was spanking new, with a huge shower which was sublime. The sink obviously had a little drainage issue as it took the water a LONG while to disappear, but that didn't happen in the shower. Biggest hotel bathroom I've had the pleasure off for a long time. Great value for money....£50 is amazing, considering the Travel Lodge wanted £89 and Newark is only 7 minutes drive down the road. Plus, swanky Indian Restaurant onsite. Definitely staying here again...without a doubt. Loved everything, and that was complimented by cheerful, relaxed staff. You could even park your car right outside your chalet/room so you didn't have to take up spaces in the restaurant car park. Major bonus...and the parking was all free :) Well done, and look forward to staying again.

Bathroom sink slow to drain. That's all....
