Room very comfortable (fresh milk in fridge for tea) amazing shower, we had room ten, the bathroom had a window that opened- sadly this is lacking in many hotels these days Breakfast very good, lovely to be served ( again unlike main help yourself breakfasts in other hotels) and we had a great evening meal in the restaurant too. Service at the table was perfect- we had a young charming server.

The heat was over bearing in our room - we turned off radiator and opened the windows and the room cooled down slightly - we noticed a fan heater but thought it a tad much to use it to blow cold air in February

Lovely hotel, spacious room, bistro area small and comfortable, we ate there when our dog was with us, but then were able to leave him in the room and had breakfast in the restaurant area all the staff were attentive and looked after us very well during our stay. Even milo was catered for, he loved his stay also.

There was a unpleasant smell (septic tank) if you were out in the garden on various occasions, depends which way the breeze blew or if the weather was hot, I would still recommend the hotel, I didn't get chance to use the spa facilities, which I'm sure were very good.

A lovely small hotel. Has everything you need and all the staff are so helpful and kind. The food was lovely - the breakfast was great except maybe some baked beans and/or hashbrowns with the full english. However, the eggs royale was perfect! The spa is lovely and just what i needed but if you’re after a spa with a swimming pool and a lot of facilities this probably is not for you. I personally preferred the smaller spa as the treatments were mainly what I wanted. The hot tub outside with beautiful views was amazing, especially as I was on my own. Not sure how good this is in winter but reckon on a bright crisp winter’s day it would be fab. Ludlow is a 25 minute walk in and you have sainsburys and tesco at a 10 min drive away. Will return and highly recommend

The food was lovely - the breakfast was great except maybe some baked beans and/or hashbrowns with the full english. However, the eggs royale was perfect! Not the most storage in the room - a chest of drawers would be good but this is not that important and we were happy either way.

Room was nice and spacious with a separate living area from the bedroom. Tv in each space. Huge bathroom. The main building beautiful and nicely decorated. The garden area has nice seating area and the spa is beautiful. Staff wonderful and the little dog pack was a really nice touch, the boys loved their treats. The location is lovely, with fields around and a 20 minute walk into the beautiful Ludlow town centre.

I booked the largest room but didn’t realise this was separate from the main hotel so lacked the period features. The shower was the hugest I’ve ever seen however the hot water pressure not so great.

Excellent hotel and service. Good breakfast in a lovely conservatory. Booked the bistro on a few evenings and enjoyed everything we ate. Our room was quiet, comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom with the choice of a bath or shower.

One tiny niggle - hardly spoiled our break - but it would've been nice to have a mirror at the desk ( can't call it a dressing table) so that you could sit and dry/style your hair and put on makeup. Using the full length mirror at the door was not ideal. And the bathroom mirror ( for makeup) was poorly lit .

Dinner and breakfast were good. Our room was nice and comfortable with a good size shower. If you choose to use the spa at an extra cost it's well worth it. A short drive into Ludlow which is a lovely wee town with lots to see and do and many good bars and restaurants.

The garden view was not of a garden but a car park. Although we had a mini bar it was a bit pricey and a bit stingy with teas and coffee, had to order biscuits if you wanted them, which we did on one occasion but never arrived. Apart from those small details it was an enjoyable stay and would recommend.

Secure off-road parking, edge of countryside setting, impressive Georgian property. Despite being 2 motorcyclists with slightly grubby boots and less than ideal evening wear, we were made to feel welcome and shown every courtesy. The room was a good size, had a high standard of furniture and fittings, and included dressing gowns, slippers, a fridge, kettle, milk, tea & coffee. The boutique spa would have been nice to try (book in advance and get there early). Very good restaurant with a la carte and bistro menu options for dinner. Excellent breakfast options, included in the room price.

Lower part of car park must have been close to a cess pit; nasty smells. despite being almost empty, my order of wine with the meal was forgotten until I advised the maître d, who was, to be fair, most apologetic. No internet TV channels or catch-up (such as BBC iPlayer).

Bed: Instead of queen, or king sized bed, it was two single beds put together, however, a large bed mat was placed, so hardly noticed the gap between two beds. Very comfortable mattress. Room: Quite spacious. NIcely decorated. Shower room: Good sized shower room. Elemis toiletries. Food: Good breakfast. I ordered fresh fruit salad and yogurt. Well served. Nice to see not to see any cereal boxes, plastic yogurt pots and etc. Everything is serviced in plates, bowles and glasses.

Nothing to think of

What a fabulous little hotel, from arrival to departure we could not fault it, a small beautifully formed hotel , quiet location but within easy walking into Ludlow. Breakfast was superb well presented and plenty of choice, we ate al fresco one evening with just the sound of the birds for company. Bistro meals again beautiful, desserts outstanding. Staff were friendly but professional. Large comfy bed well appointed room lovely bathroom couldn't fault it .

Friendly welcome. Helpful, efficient and friendly waitering staff. Selection of beverages plus chilled milk and water in room. Delicious food. Staff accommodated all personal dietary/ special food preferences. Printed weather forecast for following day.

Inadequate signage on approach to hotel on last couple of miles. Fire doors wedged open when sign on them said, "fire door, keep closed". Slight whiff from shower drain. Overpowering scent of fabric softener / detergent on bed linen. Sewage smell at lower section of car park.
