A very pleasant country hotel with lovely gardens surrounding. The only staff member I saw on arrival was a lady who appeared to be waitress, bar lady and receptionist all in one. Although very busy, she remained very pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was again, very pleasant.

The food available in the evening was from a rather limited menu and although I arrived only 20 minutes before the kitchen closed, the food was freshly prepared but perhaps a little rushed.

The hotel, was very pleasant indeed, although quite dated, the staff were amazing, and could not do enough for you, and they were very good with our dog. Our room was very nice, clean and pleasant with nice outlook, again needs updating, and some repairs needed. The food was very good, apart from evening meal on second night, this was fed back to the staff that night, who were very apologetic, and tried her best to make it better, it was a curry, but not so good. the steak the previous evening by the same chef, exquisite.

Second evening meal.

Lovely place and lovely people, very accommodating and genuinely welcoming. Great location and beautiful grounds. Very spacious room, lovely countryside views, good food. I travelled for work and my stay was very comfortable, I had everything I needed, including work space in my room and room service for food. There is a restaurant and a bar downstairs with decent range of food and drinks choices (reasonably priced).

There is nothing that i disliked. Everything was good. The only one thing i can think of... that potentially would have improved my experience, is the shower. The water pressure wasn't how I would prefer it. BUT!!! it did not ruin my stay at all, i adapted to it!! This certainly would not put me off booking again. In fact I have booked this hotel already for my next visit to the area and look forward to coming back. 😀

The parkhill is a old fashioned hotel but very comfortable, very clean and very comfortable. Dont expect aircon etc the windows are single pained, but this takes nothing from your stay . It just adds to the character of the place .It's set well back from the road and is peaceful all day and all night ,possibly it could get a bit noisy if there is a function in the marquee but it happen to us. Staff were very helpful and happy throughout our stay .

Not really sure I can find a fault

Stayed in room 1 which was spotlessly clean. bed was lovely. Our room was quite large with two arm chairs. View was across the grounds on one side and could see carpark from other window but quite a nice view really. Nice breakfast. Breakfast is served for you but I chose toast full English. I'm vegan and got vegan sausage hashbrowns mushrooms beans and tomato and had a pot of fresh coffee and orange juice which left me really full. They also offered cereal and yoghurt if preferred although unsure if vegan yoghurt or spread for my toast as didnt ask. Stayed here for a party in the barn. Staff were great.

Door doesn't close well. Can hear reception phone and people booking in from room as walls a bit thin. But overall was fairly quiet. Shower really poor pressure so had a bath instead which was nice. Would be better if desk was against a wall with mirror over but moved my chair to full length mirror next to desk instead to do my hair luckily my straighteners had a long cable.

We loved it! Beautiful little place. We booked late in the week as we fancied a spontaneous trip away. Beautiful place, room was lovely loads of space for us and our two dogs. Also, there was a wedding on that we didn’t realise and a lot of the parking at the front was taken up, I went and asked reception if we could park along the grass outside our room and they were more than to say yes and help anyway they could! . Breakfast was also very yummy! 10/10!

Nothing really bad to say, had a lovely stay.

The breakfast was amazing - a selection of fresh juice with toast, jams and spreads, then a full English and/or cereal to accompany teas and coffees as chosen, all included within the room price.

When we came to check in, there was nobody on reception or a bell to call someone. I had to open the staff door to find someone. Had exactly the same experience when leaving and a queue had formed at reception. The decor and furniture in both the bedrooms and bathrooms is very outdated.

The breakfast was excellent, well cooked and plenty of choice. The room was very spacious immaculately clean and had French doors to the garden, ideal for the dogs. The bathroom was also extremely clean, toiletries provided and wonderful towels, just enough roughness to dry well and not smelling of laundry. The bed was comfy and the room warm and smelt clean. Staff were all friendly and couldn't do enough for us, even staying to man the bar until we came back in the evening, they made us feel very welcome. Lovely grounds to walk the dogs and I imagine a lovely place for a celebration. Thank you

The light was out on the hotel sign the way we came, and we missed it the first time and had to turn round. The light was on the other side which we needed.

I picked it for it’s location which was very close to where our son and his family were holidaying. The breakfasts were good and plentiful and the staff were very friendly. It’s grounds were very nice, peaceful and quiet.

Everything was good there, although the shower was a little temperamental it was ok when we worked out how to manage it.

Location was great but you do need a car. Staff are excellent this is an old country house hotel which caters for dog owners but also keeps separate dining area for those who do not want animals in the restaurant. Perfect solution for everyone 👍🏻 The breakfasts are excellent can not praise them enough 😀Hotel priced according to the type and condition of hotel it is and run to a very good standard.

Shower in room was not very good but minor complaint considering all other positives of staying here.
