The Penellen guest accommodation room only

I travelled down for work and was absolutely over the moon with this accommodation. Barbra and Paul are very welcoming and accommodate to all your needs. The location is absolutely stunning too as its right on the cliffs with the beach just down below with walking routes all around you. The breakfast is very good as well, I was full every morning before work and everything is fresh! I picked a berry cocktail and was expecting defrosted berries, but I was chuffed when I sat down to fresh berries! The rooms are very big with views of the beach and sea and large ensuite. Located just outside of Hayle, but you can walk into Hayle which takes about 30mins or drive which takes less then 10. There is a pub near by and also a local shop. I will be staying here again with work and also leisure visits. 10/10

The place very clean and tidy and pretty modern with nice decor,our room was spacious and the shower/bathroom was excellent,the hosts are very welcoming and friendly people who can't do enough for you,the breakfast had choices of cereals,toast n jam etc or a full English which was cooked just right,plenty of tea/coffee or fruit juice aswell,the views of St Ives bay are absolutely breathtaking both during the day and the night with the beach just a 2 min stroll from the property

The bus service isn't the best leaving you with little options of getting about without driving, was quoted £20 for a taxi to St erth fir the train to st ives and then you have the train park n ride fee to pay which would make it around £55 all in to get to St ives and back ,for a short trip that's insane,we ended up driving into St ives and just paying to park but we couldn't have a drink which is what we planned to do along with a nice romantic meal

fantastic location with wonderful view and sound of the sea. Barbara was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble There was a little area in reception with drinks crisps snacks and chocolate with an honesty box to pay. Didn’t do breakfast , which was no great loss but provided free cereal milk tea coffe orange juice and yoghurts for anyone that wanted them. would definitely go back

absolutely nothing !

I can not recommend this hotel enough. We stayed in room 1 which looks out over the sea, incredible veiws and sunset. Access to the beach from the property just a short walk. The hosts are lovely and made our stay that little bit more special. Breakfast each morning drinks are already when you get downstairs. There is a mini honesty shop in the lobby, with some great things for gifts for people. Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to cornwall. Just an all around pefect location..

The views were absolutely amazing, Stunning location. Balcony overlooking the sea, We added our lights to the balcony for the wkend & it was just perfect. Owners were very friendly. Complimentary cereal & juices a lovely touch. Telescope in room was a great idea! George the dog is beautiful! Could keep on going! We will most definitely be back. Thank you.

Super friendly staff, amazing location and view from the room. Relaxing and would definitely stay again

The WiFi was not great on one of the days, which was not good for me because I was working and could not get onto video calls where I needed to, or have effective meetings. Luckily this was fixed for the other day

The Penellen is in a great location and is exactly as described. I had a superb room, very comfy, very clean and with a great view. The breakfast was excellent with lots of choices to suit all tastes. Barbara was very welcoming and the check-in and out very easy. This is a lovely B&B in the most wonderful spot, with direct access to Hayle beach with parking onsite. I would say it is more a boutique hotel than a B&B. You can also purchase an array of drinks and snacks via an honesty bar in the reception area which is a handy extra.

Beautiful location with excellent views and short walk to the most stunning beach. Peaceful and quiet. Room was very cosy with nice, spacious bathroom, comfy bed, everything clean & airy. I like placement of the mirror that allows you watching sea from the bed :) Wonderful views from the balcony and bathroom window as well as terrace downstairs. We really enjoyed our breakfast and quite miss it at home haha! I had a selection of fresh berries, salmon, scramble eggs, coffee with soy milk. There are vegetarian and vegan options available. In the common area there is well stocked self - serve area with drinks, snacks and souvenirs, so even if you don't fancy going out in the evening you can enjoy your time on very secluded and romantic terrace or conservatory. We loved Cove café 5 minutes away and short drive to St Ives for a lovely dinner at Porthminster Kitchen. We definitely want to be back :) Sauna would be a lovely addition, but then... I would never leave!

The breakfast was amazing, the quality of all the food, drinks, yogurts, cooked breakfast was exceptional. We can honestly say, the Penellen is the best B&B we have stayed in, cannot fault a single thing. Barb’s and Paul were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The telescope in the conservatory was a brilliant addition.

The location was chosen at last minute and there were 2 rooms available. I think i chose the right room and what a wonderful sea view we had, worth every penny since coming out of Lockdown. This was a totally relaxing holiday for 3 nights for 3 of us. Thank you to the host / owner Barbara, well presented, great breakfast, love to visit again for a week next time.

There is nothing to dislike about this place at all.
