It had a large free car park. The room was very nice and cosy and clean. It was close to lots of different towns, which made it a great base for travelling around Cornwall (by car). They gave us 10% off food vouchers for the restaurant nearby for breakfast

In the image it shows that the area backs up onto a lake, which looks lovely and swayed me to book here. Unfortunately, when we got here the lake had dried out and was simply a field. I also wish they had told us what was open in the mornings (they are a pub and diner) so we could have utilised things like stocking up on water etc.

Beautiful views. Binoculars and bird identifying book. Loved seeing the birds, some I had never seen before. Nice room, quite small but well stocked. Look in drawers and cupboards as lots of things tucked out of sight, i.e., the binoculars and bird book, hairdryer, coffee machine, ironing board and iron and fan. Nice restaurant. Good location to explore Cornwall from. Very relaxing.

Minor issue. Carpark got rather full on the weekend so would be nice if each of the 9 rooms had a reserved space each. We managed to park but it was pretty full on the Friday night. Did not ruin our stay though.

Clean room with good facilities. Easy to get to from the A30 and plenty of parking. The reservoir location was great, but was only full for a short time at high tide. Most of the time it was mudbanks, although it was still an open view.

The restaurant in the pub finished at 8pm and was not open for breakfast. This was available at a bistro two properties down that only opened at 9am, so an early breakfast before a day out was out of the question. No chair in the room to relax in.

We had a great experience at the Old Quay House. The room was well equipped with plenty of tea and coffee and my personal favourite, it's always nice to have a dressing gown when away from home. The staff kept our room clean and topped up and I really felt that every care was taken to look after the guests. The views over the estuary where really interesting and it was relaxing to watch the wildlife. The restaurant food was of good standard and the Cornish ice cream was amazing. I personally preferred the atmosphere in the older part of the building. Hayle is a great location for visiting some beautiful areas including St. Ives and the stunning Lizard Coast. I would highly recommend a train from St Erth to St. Ives. The station is about 0.5 miles away and the train travels along the coast. Hayle also has its own large beach area which is beautiful. Overall a great location, lovely friendly staff and good accommodation. If you want to see our trip in more detail, have a look at our video created by Marching with Mike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PaD9VKENk8M

I would recommend choosing the older part of the restaurant when eating as it just has a little bit of a cosier atmosphere.

It's easy to find and close to Penzance. Rooms were clean and very nice. I liked the fact they were on the ground floor as small apartments beside the pub. Nothing to fault, met our expectations.

It would of been nice if you could have breakfast there if you need a before 9am start. However, there is a macdonalds on the way into Penzance so that was very helpful. Maybe just include list of local venues if you want something early.

The room had a fridge, shower, toilet comfortable bed, coffee machine, iron & ironing board, robes/slippers,fresh milk daily and fan included. The view from the room was over the estuary with a lots of wildlife which was enhanced by the Bird Book and Binoculars for use. The food in the restaurant was very good and all of the staff were very professional and pleasant.

The privacy, cleanliness, good quality interior, good privacy, with own garden. Good car parking and lovely views

We got one change of towels in 6 days and no change of bedding, would have liked more often.the food was only average and bland, so we only ate there once

The room was in a lovely spot right beside the estuary. The owners had supplied binoculars and a bird book and we enjoyed using those. We used this as a base for walking the coast path and various places were easily accessible by bus. The room itself was compact and the toilet a little tight but we had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot and the shower reasonably powerful. There were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe too. Tea and coffee supplies were topped up most days and the clean mugs supplied.

Some coat hooks inside the door would have been helpful -although there were plenty of hangers in the wardrobe we didn't want to put damp coats in there.

Lovely location, outside of a town centre but within walking distance and a rail station very near but could do with more paths, i probably took the wrong route by foot to be fair. Room was lovely and the duvet was perfect as usually you get one too thin or thick. Maybe the tv should have been a smart tv with a web browser but then again the room should be for mostly sleeping.

It was all very good.

The location was fantastic with amazing outdoor seating and play area for children, lovely staff (especially Chris). Very accomodating and we felt really looked after. Property was clean and you could ask the staff for anything and they would help so service is a 100/10 here. Will definitely be staying here again!

The only issue was the price of some of the drinks seemed a little higher than most locations but definitely is not worth avoiding this place because of it and definitely has not left us unhappy because this place was perfect.
