The staff were amazing, so kind, friendly, helpful, one of the highlights of the trip. Lovely area right by the sea with the restaurant being a few feat from the sea. Easy to go on walk around area straight hotel. Lovely room, tastefully furnished with good quality fittings, and nice selection of teas etc on the room. The food was really tasty in the restaurant and breakfast was superb.

There weren't many downsides, all I can think of was the room was right above a busy square so if you wanted to go to sleep earlier that would be noisy, but earplugs were provided kindly for this. Also I find it really hard to sleep on a soft pillow but that's just personal preference 🤣

We loved the decor and all the thoughtful touches eg night lights, in the bathroom, Elemis bathroom products, including the pillow spray, hand sanitisers, bathrobes & fluffy towels, bottles of water, and choice of refreshments. Comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. Plenty of plug points and door hooks and hangers. Excellent location. Although no car park, nearby, there was a frequent shuttle bus to the car park.

Bedroom pillows did not have much support. Toilet paper was very poor quality. Hand soap and shampoo dispenser was faulty… had to manually raise it up and push down, repeatedly, to dispense the contents. My husband was kept awake by the street light coming on, outside our bedroom window. We were not aware of the shuttle bus to the car park, until a passer by told us! it should have been on the hotel blog. we thought we’d have to walk for 10 minutes, down steep steps, with all our bags.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Food excellent. Room lovely - high quality towels and bedding, comfortable bed, well thought out furniture arrangements, decor and bedside reading lights etc. etc. - even ear plugs provided in case of excessive noise (not that there was any noise, but it was a quiet Tuesday evening in April) - cannot fault anything. Ideally located right next to the Polruan ferry point which made my onward journey seamless.

Only that access to the rooms was from an outside entrance into the rear of the building which I guess is something the host would not have been able to do anything about due to the layout of the building. Whilst getting my bearings I inadvertently opened a door to a private balcony area at one point and the occupants were rather surprised to see me - so I think a 'Private' sign on that particular door would have been helpful and saved embarassment.

Everything. Staff were fantastic. Couldn’t do enough for us. Smiling and happy and they all seemed to enjoy working there. The location was excellent. Breakfast fab and we had a lovely lunch there too. The rooms are 5 star. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Elemis products in bathroom. Luxurious towels, dressing gown and sheets. They even had ear plugs should the seagulls get too noisy. Everything catered for. Fowey is a beautiful location too.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The staff were polite and welcoming, the room light, a decent size with lovely views. We had dinner and it was excellent, as was the breakfast. Exceptional value for money.

There is short term parking outside the hotel, 2 hours. So you can drop off your bags, then park your car at the long term car park 10 minutes walk from the hotel. There is an app which allows you to repark each morning from the comfort of your hotel room.

Friendlyness and welcoming. Staff all natural, happy and helpful. No falseness. All seemed very genuine people, happy and proud to work theire.. Room was great with all the little extras. Food in restaurant was supurb too. Would definitely recommend to others.

Had to rush breakfast a bit as parking had to be renewed at 9am and i was frightened of gettng a ticket. But the server and cook were very prompt and we got everythng we wanted and made it in time. 7:45am start would have made it a bit more chilled.

Breakfast was very good over the weekend . On the Monday the poached eggs were overcooked and presentation not so good. Croissants over the weekend were great but sadly none during the week. The dining room was lovely and bright and overlooked the estuary. The staff were very friendly and cheerful. Coffee came from the machine in the bar. Would like to have been offered a second cup at breakfast. Large comfortable bed . Large fluffy white bath sheets. Wonderful shower with 2 shower heads. Enjoyed the teapigs teas and biscuits.

There was no fresh fruit at breakfast and no natural yogurt. Needed more coffee at breakfast. 2 very heavy fire doors to get from our room into the ensuite bathroom. Maybe this is new regulations?

Lovely clean well maintained modern room/bathroom and great selection of teas on the tray.

On arrivals had to wait to be acknowledged and when we were, the staff member said someone will be with us then we were ignored. Could have done with a mirror on the wall in the bedroom as nice big mirror in the entrance to the room but no plug to be able to do hair/ makeup. Pillows were flat so could do with updating them and there were no spare ones in the wardrobe.

The location is great, ideal for a stay in Fowey, as it’s super central and the perfect spot for exploring the town. The rooms are really nice too, with everything you may need including a robe, ear plugs (which you may need due to the sea gulls everywhere in Fowey!), tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits…

Perhaps could be slightly cleaner, but this is only minor, overall it was very clean and wouldn’t really complain about this!

The food was outstanding. The winter vegetables so incredible tasty. The service was fast, friendly and very efficient. Loved the room, it was so cosy and lots of thoughtful touches - tea and coffee - TeaPig tea bags, local Cornish water, magazine, hand sanitiser, robes and Elemis. A real wow of a bathroom. Wonderfully generous breakfast too.

The radiators should have been put on before arrival. The room was freezing and took a long time to warm up.
