Stayed in apartment just down road from hotel.. Room was very comfortable...Was able to leave luggage as arrived early and staff took case up for me.Didnt use kitchen but was there if needed.. Staff were lovely.Nothing was to much trouble to them Breakfast was lovely..

Didn't realise there was so many steps up to apartment..And with having a disability I found it a struggle walking up and down all the stairs..(my fault .I forgot to say and there was no other rooms to move to).. Could of also done with a full length mirror in room as the little one was in the wrong place as it was dark in the corner where it is..

Almost Everything was lovely about our stay, the only hiccup we had was that our room was on the front and the music from the bars outside was very loud so upset our sleeps, until at least 2am..We came for a golf trip and wasn't expecting to be kept up most of the night, so if you're going for a quiet time away, I'd suggest requesting a back room. The hotel did move us on the second night, which was kind of them, but personally was very unconvenient due to us having to pack up and then wait for the other room to be clean. No compensation, no free drink, or even a free meal was given even for the upset, which personally would have been kind. I did suggest to the hotel that they state the noise problem for that room be put on the booking sites/page, so it doesn't happen to other guest. I'm sure we're not the only ones that have complained about it. Other than that the hotel, food and staff were very nice.

The noise is coming from a local bar at night until 2 am. Yes, I understand that noise does come from bars, but it was extremely loud, right outside our window. If I was aware of this when booking, I would have asked for an alternate room. I did wonder why there were ear plugs in the room, so the hotel is aware of the problems, and I'm almost sure I'm not the only one to complain. The room needs to be soundproofed to help minimise the sound.

One of the best pet friendly aparthotel we have ever stayed in! When we walked into the apartment our first impression was "wow" it exceeded our expectations! We booked the dog friendly apartment, a dog bed was supplied along with some doggy treats! Crumpets jam/marmalade and a large selection of teas/coffees/milk etc.. it was also exceptionally clean! We loved our 2 day break. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and there was a good selection of cocktails! Staff were so friendly and helpful! We've been telling everyone about it and want to come back!

If i was going to be picky about something qe disliked it would be parking, Difficulty using the carpark due to limited space, had to find another which wasnt really a problem as it was only a 10 minute walk, there was a graduation event on so it was understandable.

The exterior of the building is beautiful and the inside is just as impressive. I was staying in a one bedroom apartment and it was stunning. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The whole place was just beautiful. Location was perfect. Bang in the city centre. The staff were great, especially the lovely woman at reception who helped me with my extended stay and was able to keep me in the same apartment. I loved that there is a kitchen so you can cook your own meals if wanted, beautiful furniture and the bed was one of the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. I really cannot fault this place. I never went to the restaurant or the bar so I can’t comment on them. I’m sure, and hope, they would be just as good as the rest of the hotel. In terms of price it might be seen as expensive for some but for the quality you receive it is worth every penny. I will definitely stay here again. And again.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Reception staff on arrival were so warm and friendly! We were made to feel extremely welcome and provided with all information needed. Staff were willing to provide us with restaurant recommendations as the hotel restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay. The property was immaculate and there was a high standard of furnishings and equipment. There were some lovely touches such and a breakfast pack comprising of crumpets, butter and jam along with still and sparkling water, tea and coffee and biscuits. Dyson fans were also provided in the bedrooms making them much more comfortable in the humid weather. Beds were comfortable and linens, towels, robes and slippers all good quality.

The only small thing that let the room down was the stained/marked dining table. However this did not lessen our enjoyment but is just a little thing to note. Also, I could not reach the bathroom extractor fan cord, it’s very short and for someone five feet one, I would need a ladder!

The rooms were comfortable but could have been a little cleaner. The bedding and towels were clean but when I mopped up some spilled water from the floor the cloth was filthy. We didn’t use the bar or restaurant but they looked very nice. We and our dog were made very welcome with a dog bed, towel, feeding bowls and a doggy roast dinner provided ! There was a lot of loud music and noise at a bar opposite the hotel which went on until 1.30am, but as the hotel is in the centre of Carlisle this wasn’t so surprising. I left my iPad in the room and this was posted to me very promptly. Brilliant service !

We stayed here to visit Hadrians Wall which is about 20 minutes drive. The staff were very warm, welcoming and always helpful. The room was on the top floor and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was roomy and well equipped, and the bedding was very warm and comfortable. No problem with noise and we had a great night’s sleep. Parking was very handy to the townhouse and the hotel discount was a great help. We also had my birthday dinner in the hotel restaurant which was wonderful. Plus the coffees at breakfast were a great start to the day. Top marks to the Halston!

Well located. Well designed. Has everything you might need - even earplugs in case you are there on a weekend and the pubs in the area ate pumping until 11pm. Great options of eateries close by and you can walk to most of the sights. Staff friendly and helpful.

Not really anything to complain about. If I have to nitpick, then all I can say is it’s a bit tight to squeeze around the beds ( but the living/kitchen area is very spacious)

Was clean, lovely decor and finish. Used bar and restaurant both have great decor and vibe. Evening meal was great

Apartment was lovely couldn’t fault it BUT the noise from the apartment above was outrageous blaring music, screaming, cheering and running across the floor. Then the bed, I so wanted to give full 10/10 but the Bed was so uncomfortable one of they mattresses that was far too soft, lumpy and both rolled into the middle of mattress. Both had a really uncomfortable night and both had sore back and legs in the morning. I have stayed in budget hotels that have had much comfier beds and less noise from room above (apartment 201)
