Warm welcome. Great Facilities . City centre location is brilliant. Met our friends and had great time close to the hotel. We will definitely stay in this hotel again. Thank you

We struggled to find the car park at the rear. Cecil Street it’s self splits in half and we chose the wrong way… lol Actually, the directions on the website were okay really. It was our mistake . W We left our window open during the night and at 5am the club made their exit into the side street opposite the window. It’s a little noisy. However , Carlisle is like any other city… people want to have fun along with alcohol. We laughed and said, we wished we were younger lol 😅 e felt breakfast was a little expensive compared to public houses opposite. However, whilst passing the breakfast area, it all looked very nice indeed and such it was value for money.

Location and price were really good. the shower room was a really nice space. Everything you need in one room and clean.

Unfortunately we did have a few issues, the toilet flusher when pressed would get stuck and not come back out causing the toilet to continuously trickle water. The shower head popped off when we tried to use the shower. And finally the little seat in the room was dangerously broken. No injuries caused and we managed as we weren't staying very long anyway. We let the staff at the reception know and they wrote a note and took it on board so hopefully it's resolved for the next occupant.

The location was perfect, just a 5 minute walk from the train station and there it was. Was greeted by the very friendly staff who were more than helpful when I asked for suggestions where to go to eat in Carlisle. The room I had was on the 3rd floor and close to the lift, when entering the room I noticed how well set out everything was and very clean with plenty of room to move around. I paid the little bit extra for the buffet breakfast which was fantastic, i'm allergic to some foods and this wasprefect for me as I could choose what I wanted, the staff stated that I could have as much as I wanted or just come bak for more once I had finished what I already had. Really looking forward, as soon as I get the opportunity, to going back.

Not the hotels fault but because Carlisle has a lot of bars, pubs and places to eat it makes it ideal for revellers who unfortunately are not respectful of the other guests and so the noise was an issue.

Was a fairly large room, good lighting, large towels, good hand and shower soap, the shower was hand held and movable. Choice of extra pillows helped. Not much outside noise as I was on a 1st floor back of building room. Room had ear plugs supplied which I didn't need to use, stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night. Good clothes storage area. Kettle, Hairdryer & Fan. Desk and chair and a small padded bench to sit on. Room temperature was fine, didn't need to adjust. Near to station about a 3-5 minute walk, has it's own bar and restaurant, but also close to other pubs and restaurants for choice.

Toilet Bowl was a bit small, no toilet brush to wipe bowel. Toilet paper holder was in a awkward place. Mixer tap wasn't that fast flowing. TV remote was old and jumped Channels and sound. (Had basic Freeview Channels). Didn't see any info in room about free wifi but didn't need it myself got good reception from my service provider to the room.

It’s in the middle of Carlisle There is good and access to o city centre highlights. There is parking.

The parking is not owed by the hotel and requires one to put your car’s registration number onto an iPad like screen. There is very little time to ensure the data is correct or even take a photo of the screen to confirm that you have entered the required data correctly. I am now waiting for the parking charge notice and the fight to have it reversed. I could of course have entered the correct data though I will never know …

The hotel is close to both bus routes and train stations, and less than a five-minute walk to the city centre. The museum and cathedral are only a short walk from the city centre, and the Christmas Market had something for everyone. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Wherever we went, all the people we talked to were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, and the heating system soon warmed the room up when turned on. The bathroom was also spacious, and clean, and the shower did not lose its heat once turned on. The restaurant area, which was a seating area in the reception area, had everything we needed for breakfast. The evening meal menu had a diverse amount of food to suit all pallets, and we enjoyed the meal we had with them. There are also bars and restaurants within a couple of minutes walk from the hotel as well, whether it's a sports bar, or a Weatherspoon's, or a Chinese, Indian, or Italian, there is something for everyone. We had a lovely stay at the Ibis in Carlise and would like to thank the staff for making our stay an exceptional one.

The only letdown was that the heating system wasn't turned on when we got to the room, but other than that, we found no fault with the hotel.

Location was great. Couldn't be closer to everything - bars, food, cinema etc. Was able to book.last minute. Had a day out shopping and decided to stay over out of the blue. Rooms basic and clean. Was a really cold day and found room to be very cold on arrival, but knocked heater on and was fine. Food and drinks available in reception area, at very reasonable cost, so we didn't bother going elsewhere for dinner. Food was good basic meals..pizza etc.

Only that the room felt chilly, even with heater on, and there was no extra bedding to provide a bit more warmth. Found mattress much too firm for me (but to be fair many hotels have the same).

We have stayed at the ibiz a few times now and always had a great stay. The staff are always pleasant and helpful, it’s clean, perfect location to restaurants, pubs and just a short walk to the shops. The car park is free while you are staying at the ibiz too. We arrived on the Saturday and checked out on the Sunday. It was a a Christmas present from me to my husband so we could have a night away and go shopping with our Christmas money. We had a lovely time. Thankyou ibiz

There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like but if we had to say something then it would be that the mattress wasn’t the best in the way of comfort BUT it’s a hotel and your only really using it as a base staying there one night. Also depends what kinda mattress you like I suppose some might think it’s comfortable.

it’s really central and has a big carpark at the back of it. you can literally walk to anywhere from here in the town centre. the price was really good and the room was clean and bed comfy. no noise. we were in a room looking onto the carpark. We were going to Carlisle races so picked this as a base and then walked to a pub for our meal and a few drinks afterwards.

it was fine. The toilet and shower were in a sort of unusual plastic pod in the room. I quite liked it as it was something I hadn’t seen before. just remember the step into it though.

Comfortable bed, clean and pleasant room overlooking Botchergate, the main road through the city. Nothing of a view other than the buildings opposite which were in a state of neglect. Quiet enough during the night as long as both the outer double-glazed window and the inner secondary window were kept shut. Supplies off coffee, tea, milk were available at reception when we ran out. Location of the room from reception was excellent, literally up the lift into the corridor and three doors away. Only a short walk from both the railway station and the weekend venue we were attending.

The noise from a street full of noisy bars - thumping "music" into the early hours, the worst being Friday. Not as bad on Saturday and quiet on Sunday. Have to bear in mind we stayed Friday until Monday, It may be nothing like this on weekdays. Not the fault of the hotel, but Botchergate, Carlisle could really do with regulating and cleaning up, it is literally a street full of noisy bars, rowdy and noisy into the early hours. The council obviously do nothing to discourage the use/abuse of alcohol. The place is a far cry from the Carlisle I knew when I regularly worked there over a 33 year period until retirement in the early 2000's.
