Abbey Lodge, recently refurbished to a high standard, provides clean, comfortable rooms and a great breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Free parking at the rear, and only a short walk from Saltaire. Highly recommended.

The folk running the hotel were super friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable. The shower was perhaps too powerful for its drainage since it spilled out onto the floor beyond. However, we had the room with a wet room and so things simply looked wetter, the water did drain away and the room was kept clean and dry. Our room was very warm, we couldn't tell why but this wasn't too big an issue since it was Shipley in September. Overall the hotel caters very well for its mixed guests from business to tourists. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good.

The only tiny negative for us was that breakfast serving ended at nine which meant we had to have an alarm on to get up. Once upon a time we'd have been knocking on the breakfast room door at seven.....

The breakfast was very well cooked and plenty of it.I had a cooked breakfast. The rooms were very comfortable especially the pillows and mattress and we were at the back which was quiet and overlooked the car park so I could keep an eye on my car.The hotel is ideally situated in the middle of Saltaire village and Shipley so that was handy and plenty of pubs in the vicinity either way.

The room was too warm on both nights we stayed there so slept on top of the bed.We were in room 306 so I suppose when the heat rises it goes to the top of the property so it would have been better with air-conditioning or a fan in the room.

the breakfast at Abbey Lodge is excellent. It's proximity to the cities and the dales is very good too. The staff are very friendly and help is available if required. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom was very nice.

I am a returning guest and know that transport is required to get out to go to a restaurant. I also know that the rooms are a little small, but the hotel does not disappoint and the cost of a room is fair. One thing I have not encountered before is that sleeping was a little difficult because the room was hot. We needed a ground floor room and did not want to open the windows.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the room comfort, the staff were very helpful and breakfast was beautifully cooked and quickly served.

I had my dog with me and quite a bit of heavier luggage, a private car parking space was offered at booking which I requested however these were parking spaces at the back of the hotel on a service road, none were available so I had to park on the public road opposite which is usually time restricted. As it was a bank holiday no traffic wardens were expected so I parked a little way from the hotel, not ideal and a little misleading.

Staff were exceptional going to return to shipley just to stay here again in the future with our children nothing was too much of an ask beautiful hotel with everything we needed close proximity and so peaceful.

It would be ideal ti have a mini fridge in the rooms as our drinks were going warm because of the hot weather also would be miles easier to include a fire stick or roku or something to be able to login to Netflix or Disney but they are just little things I feel would have made the stay 11/10 .but recommend to anybody looking for somewhere to stay breakfast was gorgeous and so filling amazing team thanks again

I liked the friendly porter and kitchen/cleaning staff. My room was very clean and tidy and nicely equipped. Breakfast was efficient and what you need really - nowt too fancy! The location is near to Saltaire and also Baildon Moor both of which are lovely. Shipley is also good for amenities and transport. Overall I had a very special and peaceful stay, as a solo traveller for four nights.

My bed was just a little hot, I am not sure if this is due to the mattress protectors. It was a warm weekend and I was in the attic, however, which contribute.

We were able to park each day after going out despite the limited number of parking spaces. The room was clean and mostly comfortable (see below). Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room was very warm and although there was a large free-standing fan, all it did was move warm air around the room. In the hotter summers to come with climate change, it will need a full air-conditioning unit to cope. At breakfast I would have appreciated whole milk for cereal rather than the semi-skimmed milk provided.

I was very impressed by the comfort and the peaceful night sleep I needed after a long drive. Parking is free and right behind the hotel. It is a bit tight for larger vehicles but the very nearby swimming pool carpark is free after 1800 and not expensive in the daytime. The breakfast was outstanding with all high quality and locally sourced ingredients.

WiFi was pretty poor on the top floor room I had but I had an early night anyway so didn't miss it. I did not try it in the lounge area so I can't comment on it elsewhere. The stairs to the top floor might be a pain for some - I don't mind but it might be a good idea to check in advance if this is going to be an issue for you. (I did not look for a lift, bye the way!)

The room was very nice. It was clean, quiet and dog friendly without having to accept any mess left by previous animals. There was plenty of hot water for showers.

Most of the breakfast was of good quality; however, tinned tomatoes were served without any warning so the whole of my breakfast was floating in the watery tomato juice. The waitress offered to remove them but I didn't want to waste the food. The following day they still didn't have any fresh tomatoes despite being almost nextdoor to a large Asda. The mushrooms tasted as though they were either tinned or had been fried in margarine. They weren't very nice.
