Location was excellent, close to Arundel. Large hotel with spacious grounds. Gym and swimming pools an added bonus.

Rooms, although spacious and comfortable, we’re a little tired and dated. Room telephone didn’t work and looked like it had not been cleaned in a while, bedroom furniture water stained and damaged. Corridors were tatty, with peeling paint and plaster. The hotel needs money spent on it to bring it up to a standard that most people would then recognise as stylish, historic and iconic. The restaurant serves a limited menu, I’d eat elsewhere, breakfast is excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed in a superior double.

The outdoor pool, the grounds, the staff who were friendly and attentive, despite them being understaffed in certain areas. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant one night and a couple of very good lunches. The buffet breakfast was pretty good too, with lots of options including dairy- and gluten-free. Beds were really comfortable and rooms were a very good size.

The hotel felt a little tired in places and whilst the rooms were a great size, the furniture felt a bit basic but functional. There wasn't any air conditioning in the rooms however luckily our rooms never had direct sunlight on them and there was a breeze, so despite the fairly hot weather, they didn't get too hot.

Had an excellent break at this hotel, the staff were great comfortable room excellent breakfast. If you look hard parts of the building are a little tired but that comes with it’s age. It should be pointed out that many people we spoke to had specifically come to the hotel as it had an outdoor pool-a great asset and certainly in the time we were there because of the good weather the pool bar if open would have done great business.Would also like to say parking at this hotel despite being full one night was no problem

Unfortunately this property has no A/C which could be a little uncomfortable in really hot weather- but the rooms do have fans ours was a bit temperamental but definitely helped to keep cool

Avisford Park is a very impressive building set in beautiful grounds that are very well tended. Plenty of seating inside and out. We were lucky to have good weather so could relax around the outside pool. We ate at the hotel 2 evenings, the bar/lounge menu was quite good value & beautifully presented. We stayed in the Garden Rooms which are basically the rear annexe of the hotel reached by an enclosed walkway that hugs the building. Our double room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. All the Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Before booking I read negative reviews about the whole hotel needing some TLC. We couldn't see that it did and for the price we paid for 3 nights B&B it was an absolute bargain. We really felt comfortable and relaxed. The Manager Richard is a very nice man who is pro active in all aspects and very personable. Bottom line - we will definitely stay here again.

Just one gripe. Our room was situated above the main entrance to the Garden Rooms and people coming and going naturally let the door slam shut which at 6am onwards is disturbing. When we return i will ask to avoid room 519.

I loved the spacious apartment. It had two separate bedrooms and a living room. It also had a spacious balcony you could sit out on. The two swimming pools. The full English breakfast was delicious, and they had freshly made Crossiants The staff who were lovely and helpful. Close to places of interest such as the beach, Arundel & Bognor Regis. If you drive.

The hotel needs some fixing up. The indoor & outdoor pools need maintenance ASAP. And the rooms & wood work needs a lick of paint. I don't drive, so I had to get cabs everywhere as the buses only run 3 times a day.

The Hotel's Manager Richard, I think was exceptional! Both evening and breakfast was out front, mixing and chatting to guests, helping staff and taking time to listen to guest and gain feedback. I'm gluten free and the Manager went out of his way to make sure there was a wider variety of items available for Breakfast the next morning and he personally came over to check on us. Real credit to the hotel and touch of old fashioned hotel management you rarely see these days.

Hotel needs investment in property's maintenance such as peeling wall paper, wooden exterior windows need painting, walls need painting. Outdoor pool was closed , sauna did not work.

The surroundings where awesome hotel nice too absolut quite and welcoming enjoyed my stay reception stuff very friendly and helpful

The bar and service stuff has absolut no clue. 4 ppl running in amd out the bar making drinks and then lose control who's is who's..one guy made cocktails no measurements at all as if he done it for years..but he didn't. Toke a straw dip it in the drink and taste it and fill more in to it...they discussed loudly in front off costumer where what has to go...not only drinks also food where messed up and brought to the wrong table...simple solution give the table's numbers and stop shouting at each other in front off costumer...all that in considerations get better stuff or train them better

The hotel exterior looks very opulent. Corridors leading to the ground floor bedrooms were very lack lustre. Unfortunately the bedroom looked very tired, carpet was stained, bathroom was not at it’s best. However, the Cedar restaurant surpassed itself. Beautiful seating at a table in the bay window overlooking the gardens. The menu was extensive. Chef was more than accommodating about my partner’s vegetable likes and dislikes. The food was amazing, the sea bass was perfect as was the lamb rump (partner is still extolling it’s virtues now). Waiter Nathan went above and beyond his duty, his sense of humour is very infectious, so after a roller coaster day of emotions he was just what I needed. The hotel manager made us feel very welcome and special. A walk around the grounds is a must.

The bedroom looked tired.

Loved the hotel, staff and facilities. The room could have been a bit more updated. Paint touched up, ripped wallpaper mended etc.

Very slow service at dinner in the evening. Booked a table but there was a wedding party and goodwuff so even tho we were seated at 7pm when the restaurant opened, there were already many items not available on the menu due to goodwuff . There was clearly not enough staff to cope ans chefs and reception staff were pulled to help. Took over 40mins for drinks and food service was slow. Food was lovely and raised my disappointment with the restaurant manager and this was resolved in a very courageous and professional manner. So I was still happy at the end. Excellent customer experience.
