Located in a beautiful area far away in the jungle, next to a river and a cliff. Perfect place to rest from the city. Staff is superfriendly and food in restaurant will allow you to taste great Thai cusine. Lovely houses and mosquito net provided, which comes in handy. Be ready to fall asleep with surprising jungle sounds, which will make the stay more exotic.

The only things I didn't like was the fact that the room didn't have AC, just a ventilator which wasn't working very well. The whole room was hot and humid from the jungle. There was an option to upgrade with extra cost but somehow I was certain that I had already booked a room with AC in the first place. This also meant that the blanket on the bed smelled a bit like wet clothes that haven't been properly dryed. Another minor issue if you stay on the weekends, then a hotel quite nearby throws very loud parties till midnight, so be prepared for loud music in evening. The hotel is aware of this and unfortunately there's not much they can do. If you manage not to sleep early, then it's fine.

This was truly a unique experience! We got to live in a treehouse by the river in a beautiful jungle. It’s very quiet and tranquil location and all you can hear is the sound of the water, the chirping of birds and the unmissable ringing of cicadas :D It was beautiful! Shame we didn’t stay longer! The breakfast and food in the restaurant was really tasty and the view and atmosphere from the deck is beautiful. Be aware that there is no air-con in the rooms but there are plenty of fans to keep you cool, so don’t worry about feeling hot. Some may think that the facilities are basic but that is the beauty of it, when else would you get to live in a treehouse! The hotel is nicely isolated but only 5-7min walk from the Khao Sok village where you can find more restaurants, bars, mini markets etc. We would definitely recommend the place that makes crepes (!) they were delicious!

wonderful place - whats not to line about it. the Rooms are basic, no A/C, but well ventilated with a great mosquito net. no Wifi in the rooms - only in the common areas good is limited menu but tastey staff exceedingly helpful in all ares i extended my stay and extra day because I lines it so much careful - 3% extra charge for using credit card (I pid cash so wasn’t a problem for me)

not much not to like - its not luxury, its basic but wonderfully done!! would return if I am in the area the room full of giggling 20-something girls in the next „accommodation“ was a bit annoying until I put my earplugs in - nothing the staff can do anything about though…

- Incredible food!! We had some of the best Thai food we've had at their restaurant. And the service from the staff was exceptional - We had a beautiful bungalow that had so much jungle character with vines all up the staircase - Great location on the river that's only a 5 minute walk from the main part of the village - Bed was very comfortable for staying in a wooden bungalow

- The shower wasn't the best but that's okay we made do - The monkeys are very cheeky. Make sure to keep the shutters closed or be on high alert when they're open

Perfect location in the jungle. Given the other comments I could read maybe a disclaimer: this hotel is in the jungle ! This comes with all the positive : visiting monkeys that come around, incredibly beautiful and natural environment, proximity with the nature, river sound and jungle noise. If you want a perfectly sanitized room then go somewhere else Here you have an authentic stay and must not be afraid of a room without windows, without noise or temperature isolation, without air conditioning. We could see the ground 3 meters below the wooden floor. If you like this style like us then the rooms are charming and actually very comfy, with mosquito nets protecting the beds. Without windows, insects will indeed come, but reasonably. The staff was very arranging as we booked a lot of things last minute. They also helped with creating a very nice program for our stay there. Highlights: the overnight your at the lake and the cooking class. It's actually much more than cooking. The farm is beautiful and located within the mountains not far from the hotel. The lady is very kind, the meals delicious... You will go find your herbs and vegetables in the garden, learn how to do your own coconut milk in a traditional way, and be delighted by the 4 meals you're going to prepare and enjoy in bambus plates.

The first night there was noise from a camping nearby which is apparently only occupied from Friday to Sunday. If you're sensitive to noise and plan to spend a night on these days you may consider asking them for a room further from the camping place.

The hotel picked us up from the Surat Thani airport with our name on a sign, the driving stopped at 7/11 for us for snacks before the 2 hour drive to the hotel. We only stayed here one night since the next night we were going to stay on the lake. Everyone was so nice , it was rainy, which was unfortunate but the treehouse that we stayed in was beautiful, uncomfy beds, but it was cozy. It was one of our guest birthdays, and the hotel helped set up a cake being made. The guest was gluten free so May was the person I had contact with. Helped so a gluten free cake was made for her. It was SO thoughtful! I will definitely stay here again.

The day of our departure it seemed that they couldn't wait for us to leave. We asked them for a shuttle to the bus stop and then the car was there a bit earlier and they stressed us that we have to get directly in the car, because they need the car later for something else. It was a weird feeling.

We have been warmly welcomed and got a lot of help by finding the right activities. Lovely stuff, good food, nice location on the river, beautiful surrounding, amazing Trips to the Jungle & the Lake - BUT be aware of the monkeys, and do not try to "huuush" them away by your own, there is for sure some nice thai guy arround to help you (if you think you are brave enough, you might get frightend as me ;)) We would defenitely recommend the Art's River Lodge!

A very nice lodge to stay in the jungle when visiting the Khao Sok National Park. The facilities were kept in very good shape considering the difficulties there, it was raining every day and sometimes all day when visiting in July. the staff was also extremely helpful, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Nothing, except some wasps disturbing our breakfast, but this is attributed to the jungle.

Wonderful hotel in a great location. We had a teak cabin with a balcony over looking the river. Great place to go on trips to the KhaoSok national park. Excellent food at the hotel and other options a short walk away. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. River water levels were low due to time of year but you can still go for a dip and watch the monkeys playing on the bank opposite.

not a complaint about the hotel but a tip to bring earplugs as the natural night noises of cicadas and frogs can be loud!
