Aparthotel Eiger *** - Grindelwald

Staffs was friendly and helpful, Breakfast was excellent, we have large room. Location is not too far from train station. In the afternoon they give you free coffee and tea, cake, fruits. This hotel is generous.

1. The lift and the floors bit confusing at the beginning, 2 and half floor .. the floor to the apartment which is through spa, sauna and sport center. 2. About the restaurant just advise please put pictures of the food because as an Indonesian i can not imagine the kind of food they going to serve even though there are description in English on the menu.

Good for family as there is a pantry with appliances for simple cooking and the room size is big enough for 3 of us. Fruits like apples and plum are provided at the reception and fitness centre and afternoon tea is offered free of charge every day is much appreciated. Welcome drinks can be served at the restaurant and there is a selection of red wine, cold drinks and beer which is very impressive. A bottle of home made ice tea is a sonvenir to each person when check out.

If cooking oil and salt can be provided would be perfect. If the renovation works of the front reception have been completed, it will be much more convenient for check in since it is required to check in at the back which is a sloping alley and is a little bit difficult for carrying large luggages.

when we arrived there was a misunderstanding regarding number of rooms we booked but booking.com were clear because floor plan attached with the reservation was clear , but after all it was solved . rooms in chalets need more care in terms of changing furniture and taking care of removing the weird smell that we smelled when we entered room

It's a bit of a hike to get to the apartment ( chalet Eismeer). Bear in mind that if you travel with suitcases, there are steps to contemplate as you have to take the lift, climb a flight of stairs, walk through the wellness centre, the carpark, through the garage and take another lift before reaching the apartment.

Amazing location right on the heart of the Main Street. The perfect positioning between the train station and the first gondola is only surpassed by the genuinely warm and welcoming Eiger staff, nothing is too much trouble to ensure your stay is memorable. Whilst the rooms are slightly dated the facilities overall ensure a comfortable and convenient stay. This property represents great value and would highly recommend it for a wonderful stay in the Alps. Can’t wait to go back!

All the staff were really friendly. The location is central to town and easy walking distance to the First chairlift. Coffee and cake in the afternoon is a nice touch.

The shower ran out of hot water every day. The apartment was a little run down in general, but nothing major. It's Switzerland so the price is really expensive. We were a bit disappointed with the view as well, it was probably the worst room in the hotel for view. Luckily the weather was good so we didn't have to be in it much.

excellent location, friendly and accommodating staff, great gym, fantastic in-room facilities for a self-catered stay and DIY breakfast incl. great nice-to-haves like a lemon squeezer, sharp knives, and dishwashing soap and linens! Very welcoming of our dogs. Excellent restaurant onsite with a super 'happy hour' tea and cakes provided every day, bottled water on demand, and a tasty homemade juice drink as a parting gift. Convenient to all the funky stuff in town. Have recommended to everyone we know travelling to the area.

Decor is dated but charming. Located on the main road which was a little noisy when windows were left open for ventilation in the heat. Unusual hotel layout that meant it was a bit tricky to find the car in the garage, reception, etc. but we learnt soon enough.

Staffs are helpful and friendly. We got welcome juice which was very good and a bottle of sparkling wine. They provide 2 kinds of pillows on the bed that gives us choices. Full equipped kitchen. There are washing machine and tumbler.

They’re refurbishing the entrance right now. But I didn’t get any notice before I arrived. So we had to pull luggages up a long slope via parking lot entrance. I received the notice about refurbishing and a porter service from train station on the day I checked out. Maybe they could sent the information earlier.

the location was great. bus stop very close. hotel facilities were excellent. the sauna and spa area amazing. the fitness area great. complimentary coffee, tea and cake in the afternoon a welcoming treat. staff very friendly and accommodating. shuttle service to the train station. fitness classes free of charge for guests.

the Appartement could be newer / renovated. more guest lounge areas would be cool for just hanging around without the need to purchase food or drinks.

Great location, very beautiful view from balcony. Kids were enjoying 2 level bed.

We got different apartment compared with what we booked via booking.com. We got original after discussing this case on reception and after additional arrangements. So it seems original apat was planned for someone else which was not good. When came to breakfast, there were a lot of flies(fly) which constantly was trying to eat your food instead of you..
