Lovely stay in the old part of the town in a traditional building . Very friendly and helpful staff. Great facilities to store our bikes safely. Pleasant room with an excellent view. Enjoyed a traditional evening meal in the traditional bar/restaurant. Great breakfast included.

Not keen on shared bathroom facilities but these were always available and clean. Although it was a perfect location within the city it was rather noisy. Noise from bars etc. until late and then noise from setting up the market early morning. Lovely to look out at the market and the bustling street later though.

Very central location, good for the train station. Nice breakfast with lovely fresh bread. We knew about the shared toilets when we booked, but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean they always were and how little we had to queue for the shower. This may have been because the hotel was quiet, I certainly did not see many other guests. The room was lovely and warm. We could hear noise from outside on the street but not enough to keep me awake. Considering it was one of the cheapest hotels in Chur it was fine.

Lots of stairs and no lift, took me by surprise and my bad knees didn't like them. Bit of a language issue booking in but got sorted eventually. Very small room but we were only there to sleep so we managed.

Great value for money hotel, walking distance from Chur SBB. (8 minutes). Spotlessly clean throughout. Shared toilets and showers in new condition and with plenty of hot water. Good restaurant in the hotel. Buffet Breakfast was better than most chain hotels. Room had washbasin, large screen TV. It was only as big as it needed to be fora single occupant so its likely it doesn't waste energy heating unused space and hence better for the climate. Terrace on fourth floor with good views though not a big plus in winter. Situated in historic part of town close to shops and restaurants. Staff very pleasant, helpful and polite and speak some English.

The hotel f r a n z i s k a n e r was absolutely wonderful. The room with separate bedroom on one side and sink, shower, and wardrobe on the other, we're very clean, comfortable, spacious, and bright. I usually need and want an attached bathroom with toilet for my hotel rooms. But in this case, it was no problem. The breakfast was spectacularly good, with the freshest white cheese and crisp wheat bread that I have ever experienced, as well as delicious granola and other breakfast foods. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Considering that this hotel cost 1/3 of what most hotels cost in the old town of c h u r, it was one of the best value for money hotels that I have ever experienced.

Everything was good, including the location, which is easy to get to from the train station, just taking the circular Road to the West, going through the Ober t o r by the Stream, and the hotel is right there across the little Plaza.

the breakfast was delicious and the staff were pleasant and helpful. the location and view were outstanding.

I made an error while booking - accidentally booked for 1 instead of a couple. unfortunately the price was nearly double for 2 people, even though it was the and room. I know by paying for 2 we also accessed museums with the guest card and both had breakfast, but the value was no longer quite right for our budget. my error, but still changed my perspective on relative value.

My staying in hotel Franziskaner and Chur in general was just wonderful!! The hotel like this is a perfect couple for such an atmospheric town. The location is the best of the possible ones (I mean it), the window view - mmm... Room was nice (i've never slept on such a comfy bed), breakfast is on the first floor of the hotel - the choice was great and food itself was yummy. Staff is affable and hospitable, and overall, to call my impression of the staying in one word - warming :)

WI-FI connection wasn't the greatest - a little bit slow down, but ok.

A nice picturesque atmosphere in the heart of the old town. The hotel was clean with friendly service. The toilets and shower was in the corridor, but with easy access from the room. The location was good, easy access to town.

The room was hot, because there was no air conditioning unit in the room. If the room is in higher floors, no lift available. It requires good condition especially carrying the luggage.

Very functional. Best location with great cafe with outside seating. Very basic, but this is reflected in the pricing. All in all a very good experience.

On my second visit, staff not always very friendly / helpful - especially at breakfast. Also a price discrepancy at check-in with booking.com which they wanted me to settle. Took some explanation and documents to make that go away, but they did agree in the end.

Great location in the old town of Chur. very clean and helpful staff. Breakfast was basic but ok especially given this is a great value for money stay. Bathrooms and toilets were clean. I eat at the hotel restaurant and the food was good. comfortable bed and pillow. can’t fault this for the price.

it was hot and the room was an inferno with no fan or air conditioning. the TV showed lots of English channels but none would load. A couple of women on the same floor were talking loudly through the night the soundproofing was not good through the doors, earplugs are recommended.

Comfortable bed and a fairly quiet night. The staff were happy to provide us with boiling water for our coffee. The shared barhroom was not really a problem as were the only people on the floor.

We had to drag our luggage up three floors after a long day of travelling. On arrival we had to stand and wait for check-in while the person helping us kept dashing of to help serving food. I would have liked a kettle in the room
