Hotel Savoy

The location is excellent. It is just 2-3 minutes walk from the main station but it is not noisy. It is also in the town itself, with nice shopping & within walking distance to most of the attractions & old town. The staff is friendly and helpful. Specisl mention of the excellent service by the front desk staff, Charles . He is very patient and warm when he receives us and help us with the check in. He has also kindly upgraded us to a bigger room when he knows we are coming back to stay after 2 nights of stay at Zermatt. He really makes us feel very welcomed! Thanks heaps!

The breakfast was very good, the staff were lovely and there at all times to help/answer queries. The hotel room was well thought out, very comfortable and spacious. The shower was great and will definitely miss it! The location was fantastic for using Bern as a base and travelling around the area and also great for walking around old town and enjoying the numerous restaurants.

Another mirror in the bedroom near the plug sockets would have helped me doing my hair etc but not essential

The location is great - just a short walk from the railway station, and also close to the city center. Staff at the reception was efficient but severe. The room was large, clean and functional, with many sources of light and many sockets to charge our phones and laptops. The bed was comfortable, the wifi was fast. The breakfast was delicious with multiple choices offered.

We heard noise - during the day from an elevator, and during the night probably from a neighboring disco - do you know the noise made by the bass of an orchestra, that noise that you feel in your stomach? well this is what we've heard half of a night.

They changed the used cup with a new one. Most other hifels would just wash them in the room by thr housekeeper Complimentary transportation card was a big bonus. The check in guy gave detail explanations on hotel amenities and surrounding areas attractions. The che k out guy even checked the weather on my next destination. Greetings by the front desk everytime we walked pass by. Excellent selections of tea and tv channels. Quiet area at night even though its location

Only one elevator servicing all floors. Not a problem for me though as i prefertv t he stairs. And yeah the elevator didnt fo all the way to the 5th floor. Just the 4th. So if you are mobility impaired please request for a lower floor. Dont rely on google map to get to the hotel from thw train station. We had a 10 min detour on a frigid weather with tonne of luggages when the actual exit was just 2 min away from the station

Great location, right in Old Town. Comfort double room with nice balcony (on 4th floor - it's advisable to request this in advance). Spacious bathroom with huge shower. Comfy bed with memory foam pillows. The coffee machine, kettle, bar fridge, safe, aircon, and WiFi are all great. Friendly staff. Parking a short distance away at Metro for CHF20/night - easy to park there and take the elevator to street level, which comes out very close to hotel (better than negotiating the restricted access one-way roads around the hotel). Plenty of places to eat and explore in the area.

The hotel is 1-2 minutes from the train station. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time, but we were checked-in immediately. The room is good, there was everything you need: refrigerator, coffee machine, kettle, TV, hair dryer, even 2 pairs of mugs - for tea / coffee and espresso. The bathroom is very spacious, the shower is turned on with buttons (easy and comfortable). Cleaning was done every day. I liked everything very much! Big thanks to the hotel staff

What a delightful hotel set in the historic centre within a few minutes of the train station. The staff were so helpful with information about the city and how to get around. Trams were easy to use. We asked for a quiet room and got one - could hear only the birds! Comfy beds, lovely modern clean bathroom. Opening windows as well as great air con. Totally recommend. Don't eat breakfast so no idea about that.

Maybe a blackout blind for the bathroom as the door is glass and light comes through in the morning. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Location was great. But staff, particularly Ivan, was incredible. Ivan was so helpful over and over again and really helped make our stay wonderful. He and his female colleague that was working on New Years Eve in the evening were wonderful. There was also a maid there from Portugal that spoke Italian as well and she was extremely helpful. I didn’t get a chance to find out her name but we had an issue and she went above and beyond to help us take care of it. Grateful to all for such a wonderful stay. One of the best we’ve ever had.

i travel with family of 4 (2 adults and 4 and 5 years old child). book the room with sofa bed (and add 1 extra bed) this still give the room a lot of space for my kids to run around. the hotel location is brilliant! about 7-8 mins walk to the bern old city, and all the top spots of the city are in walking distance. car park building is only 2 mins walk. lots of shops and restaurants by the hotel. the best part is; the staff. they’re all very kind and helpful.

The hotel was perfect, the location is the best, five minutes walk from the train station and five minutes walk to the city centre. Its located in the heart of bern in a main street, very safe at night. The hotel itself very ber, comfortable, we were in large room very nice, very clean, new furniture, with all you need. The staff are very kind and helpful with welcoming faces. The breakfast is so good. So recommended!
