Scandic Anglais

Wonderful hotel, spacious yet cozy, amazing lounge area with comfy couches and chairs where everyone was doing their work or hanging out by the bar, everything is well maintained and of great quality. Attached is a restaurant and access to the gym is easy. It's in a great area of town, super central and easy to get to everything. My room was a shoebox it was tiny lol, single bed, desk, bathroom all super snug but I was traveling solo so it did the trick. For the price it was a little too small, but overall I really liked the hotel vibe, style and quality and would stay again.

Great location (not a long walk from the old town centre), couldn’t hear any traffic or noises outside despite being close to nightlife, excellent and tasty selection of hot and continental options at the breakfast buffet (so much to choose from and catered for different dietary requirements), loved the balcony (7th floor room), beds were very comfy, complimentary bath robes was a nice touch and the staff were super friendly and welcoming

It was not possible to regulate the room temperature- one would have to speak to reception to do this, the advertised hot tub no longer exists ( apparently it broke a few weeks ago), not a lot of ceiling lighting andTV only had 4 channels

The reception and service at the hotel was excellent. Our room was spacious and met our expectations, comfortable beds on the softer side but roomy and big bathrooms. We had a dog and the facilities and care of the dog was very good and value for money. The breakfast was exceptional with excellent hot and cold choices: one of the best bacon and eggs in Sweden for a long time.

Parking was over 500kroner and unfortunately I didn't take a screen shot of it as I thought it was more reasonable when I booked. Parking costs would deter us in the future as similar hotels in the area cost just over 300kr a night.

Amazing, lively lobby bar. Beautiful park across the street, perfect with our dog. Very comfy beds.

525 SEK /Day parking your car in the hall as a hotel guest is way too expensive. We stayed for +2 Days and paid over 1200 SEK. The receptionist told us a much smaller fee (150SEK/day) for the parking when we checked in or then we misheard her. 1200SEK was a big surprise in check out. Otherwise we loved the hotel and personnel.

The Hotel is perfectly situated and the surrounding area is lovely to walk around in. You can also get everywhere very quickly from the Hotel, either by foot or by bus. The Hotel interior is also very appealing and cozy. What I can also recommend is the Scandic restaurant as the staff is very nice and the food is absolutely delicious!

The breakfast, while very nice, was very full at the time that i was there, making it very stressful to eat, as every time i would get up to get something, my plate would be cleared away. I would have to go very quickly to ensure that my seat wouldn't get taken. If you would like a quieter breakfast, i would recommend eating a bit earlier than 8:30.

I read some review before booking Scandic Anglais and was a bit worried to have booked this hotel for my business travel. However, everything turned out much better. First, several people complained about the noise from surrounding nightclubs etc. Perhaps it was the location of my room, but it was quiet the entire time. The room was small but clean, and the bar seems cute downstairs though I didn't get to have a drink there. The hotel was incredibly well-located - I was able to walk everywhere I needed to go. I would recommend this hotel.

The rooms were quite small and simple, but they served the purpose.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and reception, the most fabulous breakfast spread and great central location opposite a beautiful park and next to the bus stop. The room was comfortable too, we got 3 beds in the family room. Really loved the overall place and highly recommend it!!

Nothing really... only improvement can be thicker better curtains in the rooms to avoid the light while sleeping.

The breakfast was very good, although Scandic Byparken in Bergen is better. I was particularly impressed by the clerk at reception, who became my go to person for everything. And, she always had the solution. Hotel location was good for me. Across from the park, not too close but not to far from the train station. Convenient to the waterfront.

The scrambled eggs at breakfast were definitely undercooked. Or the style may be just something I never encountered. Like a wet pudding

Fitness room and spa were amazing, one of the bests. Also the food for breakfast and lunch was really good.

What all of us didn't like was how the personnel from the breakfast room treated us: they told us to put our food in a box and leave the room even before 11am. Some others were told the same even at 8 or 9am, just because there was a lot of people. That makes the customer experience bad. It's a pitty because everything else in the hotel is great and everyone else was extremely nice to us.

Very central location in the center of the city. Breakfast was amazing. Staff very friendly. Bed comfortable and big bathroom in the room. Hotel clean overall

No temperature control in the room. You need to notify the reception if you want to increase or decrease it, but even after I notified them the room was still quite cold. No facilities to make tea or coffee in the room.
