Elite Hotel Stockholm Plaza

The hotel is perfect for a stay over the weekend. The staff are extremely helpful, because of flight delays- we arrived after 12am and the check in process was extremely quick. The location is perfect for a walk into the city, it is also close to the trams to the Tele 2 arena. The rooms have everything you need and are very clean. No complaints with the hotel. The real star for me was the breakfast in the morning. Everything is fresh- you have the usual's like bacon, eggs, bread, muffins etc but if you want healthy they have everything- fruit, continental breakfast. They have gluten free options. They also have ginger shots etc. Best breakfast I have seen in a hotel anywhere.

Not that I didn't like it, but the bar next door is open to 2am and some older people may not like this. It didn't impact my quality of sleep, as we where there each night until it closed :)

Staff at the front desk was very very friendly and helpful. They prolonged our check-out time according to our return flight. They also changed our rooms and moved our stuff immediately after reporting a noisy night. The top experience were breakfasts in a very cosy bar/restaurant downstairs.

The junior suite #206 is just above the bar. That meant there was a loud music to very late hours.

The rooms were nice with comfortable beds, and the staff were absolutely wonderful - very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was had a lot of variety and healthy options, and was served for several hours without the buffet ever feeling depleted. Location was fantastic, we could walk everywhere and there are lots of good restaurants nearby.

The first room I had (388) was incredibly noisy (loud live music from the restaurant till late at night, glass containers being emtied early in the morning right under the window etc.), but I could change to a much quieter room without a problem the next day when I asked about it.

Lovely breakfast served in a beautiful room. Beautiful building. Super comfortable bed and oh wow, the bed linens—buttery soft! (That's a lot coming from me! I can't even wear most wool, including premium merino. Most bed linens feel scratchy to me, regardless of thread count. Some weird genetic thing, apparently.) Central location. Close to everything—seriously. Kind staff. Clean and comfortable. The room had a very large window, overlooking the park across the street. Gorgeous view! Would definitely recommend.

The only real "downside" was that it was quite cold in the room. Heating was set to max, but it didn't really feel like it. (Old building? Sustainability thing?) I got a second blanket sent up to the room, and then it was totally fine. Sometimes, I could hear other rooms /very/ faintly. Just things being plugged into shared walls, or muffled TV sounds. (But the vast majority of the time, it was silent!) Late at night (Saturday night), I was kept awake by the music from the bar/club next door. (I booked in a rush, hadn't realized it would be there.) Carpet looked a bit old (just a bit!).

The Elite Plaza is a well located hotel, close to a park and ticks the boxes for a city break. On checking in I asked for a change of room and this was accommodated, as was a late check out without any extra charge - well done! The breakfast variety and arrangements were an absolute highlight, again a great job done and staff mostly friendly.

The room was really very small, but it is a city hotel so can understand this. There isn't a gym or sauna on site but you can use the facilities at the sister hotel 5 mins walk away - but their facilities weren't great, saunas weren't switched on and the gym needed a clean. The hotels are ok, but probably need updating in some areas (rooms, facilities). The low point was maintenance men trying to get into the room while we were still getting ready and then arguing that we should have checked out already (which wasn't right). They should have been more polite and considerate for customers, not just trying to enter the room to do their maintenance tasks while people are getting changed, that is extremely rude.

The location is amazing, all people in the reception were extremely nice, relation price-quality is honestly one of the best I've seen, the bed was suuuuper comfortable... Ah, the breakfast is quite good too.

I confess I felt quite hot in the room because there was no way of directly controlling the temperature. Thank God Stockholm is not a very hot city, but if it was I would have melted. My experience would have been perfect if there was an air conditioning I could regulate.

- Responsive and friendly staff - Convenient location - Varied and delicious breakfast (I liked that we could make ourselves waffles) - Incredibly beautiful hotel building (outside and inside) - Large bed - Clean room - Bath! Instead of a shower cabin - Iron and ironing board in the room - Nice shampoo and shower gel - We were able to check in a few hours before the official check-in time - it was very convenient - High-quality cleaning of the room every day

- The room is very small, so it was extremely difficult to use the iron :) - No air conditioning, and the street is very noisy (but if it's around 20 degrees or less outside, the temperature is comfortable with the windows closed) - The bed seemed too soft (so if you have back problems, this can be an issue) - The drain in the bathroom was faulty: after we took a bath and started to drain the water, it poured out of the drain :) So we had to eliminate the flood

Bed and bedding was so comfortable!

The shower was a bit odd (to an American, anyway). You had to step up to get into the bathtub, and then when i started the shower I realized there was only one shower glass door—meaning a lot of water fell onto the bathroom floor. It wasn’t dangerous for me, but someone older or less sure on their feet could have slipped and fallen on the wet floor that you had to step DOWN onto.

The beds were super comfy and the room nice and clean, with great view and I loved the fact that you could open the windows like a normal person, without those anti-smoking safety. It's nice to see a hotel that trusts its guests to comply with the regulations. Breakfast was nice as well and the hotel itself is really beautiful and in a gorgeous yet quiet location.

I was sad I didn't get any bath robe and slippers. The whole reason I booked this hotel was because the rooms have bathtubs and I was really looking forward to a nice hot bath. But it wasn't near as nice without a robe to put on or slippers. Probably the worst was the fact the water wasn't hot at all. Best I could get was moderately warm and as a result I couldn't sit in the bathtub more than 5 minutes before getting cold. I live nearby and booked this stay as a relaxing 'me time' away from my small and nosy apartment so it was quite a disappointment that I couldn't take a bath and relax as much as I planned to.

The hotel is at a short walking distance from the central station, located opposite a nice park and very close to the library which I wanted to visit. The coziness in the breakfast room with candles was a big hit for me.

My room was a standard single room so I didn't expect much. But I still prefer rooms which have a few amenities such as in room tea and coffee facilities, extra toiletries or disposable slippers. These make me happier so I would have liked it.
