NH Collection Vigo

Well-located in the city centre. Liked the way you could leave pull up and leave your car outside the hotel and the staff parked it for you. Marcos, the concierge, was absolutely fantastic and made our stay in Vigo a real highlight of our trip to northern Spain and Portugal - provided ideas of places to visit and detailed itineraries. Visited the Cies Islands for the day which were absolutely beautiful.

We had booked a premium room but it was on the first floor and had two windows overlooking a busy street which was noisy and not v. relaxing. However, the staff were very helpful and moved us to a room on a higher floor which although not a premium room we much preferred.

Thr room was perfectly adequate for our stay and although "superior" was a bit on the small side. Breakfast was very good although the cooked options were not so good. The customer support desk was really useful and Marcos could not have been more helpful with advice bookings etc. The parking arrangements were perfect; stop at the door and they take your car off to park it and bring it back when you need it . In the centre of a city this is really great! Oh, and the shower was the best !

After the first day we had to change rooms as the TV didn´t work correctly.

Spacious clean rooms and excellent location. The 2 staff in the restaurant in the evening (20/6) were absolutely brilliant and exceptionally helpful and friendly (one man, one woman) they are both a credit to the hotel!

Unfriendly check in by Ainara who was also unfriendly, tutting and rolling eyes when the next guest arrived. Most unpleasant.

The location is excellent in walking distance of bus/train station. Very close to centre of the town and its lovely old area. Very good welcome in lovely entrance hall where you can get a drink or a meal at at a reasonable price. Bedrooms were very clean and well equipped. Good products. Breakfast was excellent. Vigo was lively in the evenings with some good bars and restaurants and places to explore. We will go again.

Everything was just spot on. Our rooms were spacious and very clean. The buffet breakfast was great, with a sophisticated touch and local dishes. The reception staff was super friendly and helpful. Last but not least, Marcos was fantastic. He helped us a lot with planning day trips, calling places for us and showing me running routes. I also had to work from the hotel room and wi-fi was fast, which is not always the case in hotels in Spain. Look forward to be back!

Nothing, it was great!

On arrival we were provided with a quiet room on the 5th floor by lovely reception staff. The room was very large and comfortable and had everything we required. We asked for an iron and ironing board which was provided very quickly. The hotel is ideally located to visit the city, old town etc. 10 - 15 minute walk from the train station.

We returned to the hotel having eaten out on the 12th May and requested some milk for the room. The male on reception at the time was rude and told me to speak to the waiter. To cut a long story short I suggested that as a guest I would expect that the milk requested would be brought to our room, as per the notice in the room.

Wifi in my room was very weak and stronger in the corridor outside! Staff were unable to resolve the issue over 5 days which was a major frustration when travelling and particularly for business. My business companion did not have the same issue so it seems a room specific problem. Hand sanitiser outside the lift was not replenished in the duration of my stay which suggests a lack of attention to some details.

the balcony, window, comfortable bed etc and theview from the balcony; guest relations Marco was very accommodating as we. fast response when asked questions via booking and also helped us out with understanding the parking.

the room smelled like cigarettes and the front desk didn't explain that we could order things via an app. which I only discovered on my last day. otherwise they were great and was able to respond via book g very quickly also great help when it came to understanding the parking and how to get a cheaper rate.

Everything Perfect!!! In the center and Great view! 10 min to seaport. We were in the 5th floor. We asked for bathtub and they said they couldn't assure the avaibility but they would add a note in the reservation, we end up getting it!! Double bed ( making a kingsize bed ) very comfortable. Complimented with a bottle of water and a coffee machine with 2 capsules of coffee and 1 of decaff. Free :)) Got a lots of towels, robe and slippers. Didn't hear noise from the hall or others rooms. The curtains block the lights but in the edges some light can pass through ( aka in the morning it is not completely dark). Amazing staff, very nice!!! (Felt welcomed) They let us check ou at 14p.m ( on sunday, but verify for the hour with them) and kept our bags in the hotel after the check out. Vigo: has a lot of bars/ nightclubs and restaurants. Mind that On sunday, every shop is closed (just some restaurants and coffee shops opened).

I got sick with a stomach virus and the hotel called a nurse practitioner who evaluated my condition on the phone and advised me to go to the hospital to get medicated. When I came back everyone at the hotel was so nice! Marc( guests relations)made sure the restaurant provided the right diet through room service. The maid on the 3rd floor was very sweet and made sure I got extra towels, chamomile and water. Very professional staff, but specially genuinely interested in their guests.
