Hotel Lauria

Lovely serene hotel in the middle of the palm groves. Pleasant staff, good sized swimming pool. Parking on site with a nominal nightly charge of €6.50 which is reasonable compared to a lot of other places. We had half board and the food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent and the inclusive price really good value for money. The dinner was in the restaurant with a choice of starters, main and desert, waiter service. Breakfast buffet had a good choice. It´s a little way out from the the centre of historic Elche but nevertheless pleasantly walkable and worth it for the location.

The location was fantastic, room was clean and modern and the staff were very friendly. The room had a balcony with a view to the pool area. The hotel gym was surprisingly big and versatile, the pictures don't do justice for it. It's a great value for your money, but keep in mind that it is a three star hotel. If you don't expect luxury, you will surely enjoy your stay.

The pool area was full of pigeon faeces and the breakfast was quite poor. I can't recommend buying the breakfast in advance, you should try it first and then decide if you want to eat at the hotel or at some of the great cafes that are right next to the hotel.

It is so central, within easy reach of good restaurants . Great for walking to lots of the ruins and on the main Rambler. Lots of good shops nearby as well The room is always clean and lovely , the bed is comfortable. The big breakfast will keep you going until night time, the small one only allows one hot drink

The people in the breakfast start clearing up before the end of breakfast at 10-45, breakfast doesn't finish until 11 am, and one of the people is very curt and almost rude. I was in May and not sure if there is a bar in the high season , which would be good

Very relaxed. Quiet calm hotel. Nice central location.

Room for 3 adults was a little confined.. . The bed that was added for 3rd guest made room very tight for space ...as we had to keep moving it to access patio etc..it also wasnt very comfortable. There was a bad smell in the bathroom( the said bathroom looked nothing like the bathrooms on the website)I did mention both issues to staff member shortly after occupying room but she was not helpful. However I did not allow it to mar our stay .

Beautiful entrance, actually took my breath away. We had a large double room with views of the ocean and the marina. Right in the centre of town within easy reach to everything (bars, beaches, sightseeing). Lovely helpful staff, always had a smile on their faces even when dealing with awkward customers (not us I have to add)

Our room needed a bit of tlc, I know the hotel is being refurbished and we were just unlucky enough not to get a newly decorated one. But I'm sure next time we come it will be all finished. If its not I would still stay here again! Would have liked a kettle and a couple of mugs so we could at least have had a coffee (even if we had to buy our own) when we woke up in the morning. More clothes hangers please!!!

The location was ideal for a one night stay with our dog. We were given a ground floor room which was good as our dog doesn't like lifts or stairs. The room was plainly but beautifully decorated, with good quality bed linen, pillows and towels. The bathroom clean and functional. Breakfast was multi choice with a good coffee machine. Situated at the back of the building, the room was very quiet, even on the night of carnival!

The room was very warm on entry as the sun had been shining through the window all day, and the windows were closed shut. We had to ask at reception how to open them!! It cooled down enough to be acceptable after we had been out for a walk.

Great treatment by the people on reception desk - lovely attitude and very helpful. Location on the main Rambla so convenient for old town and not too far from the port - and very quiet, despite the central position. Swimming pool area very attractive - must be lovely in the summer weather! Generally good value for money. Car parking arrangement convenient and good value for Tarragona :)

Sadly our balcony view wasn't the most exciting, looking over a rather abandoned area at the back of the hotel, rather than poolside. BBC News TV channel would be appreciated - the only English language channel was France 24. Water pressure in the bathroom handbasin very low.

The location was great - just a quick walk to the Balcón del Mediterrani. The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a decent bathroom. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they gave us a parking space in their on-site garage for a good price, which we very much appreciated. Good breakfast for an affordable price. Nice pool area with lots of chaise lounges and other seating.

The wifi was horrible. Had to stand next to my hotel room door to connect and lost the signal whenever I went back into the bedroom. The water pressure in he kitchen sink was also very weak, though the shower was fine.

Paid for breakfast which was well worth 10euros. Housekeeping was excellent and cleaners worked very hard and with a smile. Excellent internet.

Booked a room with balcony overlooking the pool and paid extra for this. However, we were offered a room (with balcony) overlooking the very narrow, dark side street. When we asked to be changed this was arranged with no problem. Found the air conditioning impossible to navigate but reception sorted it. It was extremely noisy but did the job. The room we stayed in really needed updating. Flooring (Lino) was worn out. Sofa close to collapse. Walls needed repainting. However, we had a brilliant time. So…thanks.

Fantastic stay at Hotel Lauria. Lovely little room overlooking the sea and garden. Had a comfortable night and enjoyed use of the pool the following day. Perfect location right next to the balcony and top of Rambla Nova. Loads to see and do and plenty of places to eat and drink. Solo traveller and would definitely stay there again. Have also stayed in their apartments which are also great. Beautiful converted mansion.
