El Sequer Casa Rural

The hotel is a delightful oasis (set in an orange grove). The owner was friendly and welcoming- as were all the staff. The building and gardens are attractive and well maintained. The pool was warm enough to swim in each day (in early May) and the rest of the facilities were also great. Our room had great views and a very nice balcony.

The location is slightly out of central Oliva, but for most people (with car) that shouldn't be a problem at all- as there is secure parking- which is hard to find in Oliva itself. If you walk into town, be sure to use the Cami Collado and head towards the blue tiled church roof. Nice restaurants are within walking distance.

The property is beautiful and in a quiet, rural setting surrounded by orange groves. Although you can walk into Oliva, a car is highly recommended to make the most of the area. We were made to feel really welcome by the owner and staff and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was large, spotless and had a private terrace area - the breakfasts were delicious and there was plenty of variety. The pool looked lovely but unfortunately the weather was not always kind so we were not able to take advantage of it. Highly recommended!

We loved everything about this accommodation. The people who run the house are all so amazingly friendly and welcoming and helpful. It seemed nothing was too much effort to ensure we had a lovely stay and all the information we needed about the surrounding area and travel when we left. Unfortunately we were only there for two nights but have vowed to go back. The house is so beautiful and we were thrilled to know that it had been in the same family since the 18th century. It was charming and you really felt the history of the place while at the same time it had all mod cons, as we older folk say in the UK. Everything we needed for a really comfortable stay was provided. We had a terrace with a fine view. and the room was so cosy and elegant. We loved the pool which. being from Scotland, felt quite warm. We loved where it was, including the amazing chimneys which helped guide us home. The walk into and back from town was perfectly doable for us and not really a hardship. And the beach? Well, how spectacular to have such beaches in walking distance.

I hesitated over the 'location' score because as people without public transport, it was quite a trek to the beach and a bit of a walk to the old town at night. But then it IS a casa rural which is what it's all about so in that sense, it was perfect.

We stayed for two nights in El Sequer Casa Rural, our experience was just special from the the moment we reached the gateway controlled by intercom, parking was shaded, the Casa El Sequer is amazing, we were welcomed at the main front entrance by very friendly staff members who showed around, we were made to feel special which is unique. Our bedroom & en-suite was very nice. Breakfast in the morning was continental but you could have bacon & egg, scrambled egg, omelette if you so wished - Rosa was only only too happy to oblige. Overall an very relaxed experience, could not have been better, wifi is excellent. We toured the general area up onto the steep mountain terrain with 360 degree views, cove del Rull is worth a visit. We would highly recommend El Sequer Casa Rural for at least two nights and more, it’s located close to many interesting sites including the famous Park Natural de L’Albufera, Valencia city, mountain trekking etc.,

We had no negative experience at all

Very nice old house - very Spanish. Nice pool. Great staff. Most rooms had balconies. Bed and Breakfast only, but great facilities for self catering at any time of the day. In Oliva, but felt like the country side as it is surrounded in an orange grove. The beach in Oliva is very good, and you are only 15 minutes drive from Gandia and it's wonderful beach.

Nothing to dislike. We would opt for a room with a balcony if we stay again.

This effortlessly stylish family hotel is set in delightful grounds amongst orange groves. First impressions do not fail here. The team, Pablo, Rosa and Cello were so helpful. THIS PLACE IS SPECIAL. A home from home. Perfect breakfasts and rooms, local guidance and recommendations. Hard to find fault here.

The town is a 20min walk so having a car is ideal but they do advise this on the site.i mean it is called 'rural' but if you like walking or cycling town is doable.

All the staff were fantastic. The finca is immaculate, the rooms larger than expected and ensuite was modern and large. The breakfast were fantastic and Rosa there to cook anything you want. The omelettes were great. Grounds are large, well presented and quiet. An excellent place for a base or a restful break. All this at a fantastic price. I look forward to returning in the future.

There is nothing to dislike about El Sequer Casa Rural.

Everything. Situated in Orange Groves and a gorgeous Mediterranean garden, the grand house offers space, peace and quiet, and a feeling of genuine Valencia/Olivian Spain. Pablo, Rosa and Bertha made us feel welcome from the start and they were just amazingly good people. Breakfast was served with freshly baked cakes, fruit just picked in an restful setting. We had also hired bicycles that were delivered on site and it allowed us to explore the area, the beaches and the mountains. I've got many ideas now to add to some Mediterranean touches to our garden, but I don't think we can recreate the blue skies, the palm trees, and the fountain. Thank you for an amazing holiday.

Enter through the gates of El Sequer and you leave behind the hustle and bustle of everyday life……all that can be heard is birdsong. This place is a little bit of Heaven on earth! Beautiful grounds,and a wonderful swimming pool surround a magnificent home that has been lovingly turned into a boutique B&B. Spacious bedroom with the most comfortable bed and wonderful bed linen! Lovely seating areas throughout. Breakfast served on the terrace by the wonderful Rosa, who has time for a chat to everyone! A big Thankyou to Pablo for his wonderful hospitality during my short stay.

There was nothing not to like!

The breakfast was superb, everything was fresh, and the variety was excellent! Breakfast was individually managed by the superb Rosa, what a pleasant, happy lady, always on hand to help! This superb country house has been restored to its former glory, and filled with all the original furniture and art works, it is truest s wonderful experience! The owner, Pablo, is a delight, such a kind and genuine guy! We will definitely be back in the future!

My mistake, but a car is probably the best option. We stayed there whilst viewing properties, but even though we didn’t have a car, it is only 15 min walk to the town and restaurants, no big deal, and safe at night.
