Hotel Rio Bidasoa

Super friendly staff, I got a bigger room for free due to availability. They borrowed me an umbrella to get around the city. The room was very clean, bed very comfortable, location walking distance from the center and 15min walk from the airport

You need to turn on the water for a long time to get hot water, and it made me feel a bit bad to waste so much. The isolation of the rooms is not the best, but it didn’t bother me as there were not many guests at that time.

Breakfast excellent (fresh orange juice). Located near the old town. Nice swimming pool. Friendly staff. Two connected rooms with own bathroom (ideal for families).

Distance to the beach (more than 30 minutes walk). Expensive. For info: near by local airport. However only a few flights a day, and none at night and therefore hardly nuisance.

Rooms were great, beds very comfortable. The shower is in the bathtub, I prefer a seperate shower, but it worked well. The hotel overall is very nice, clean and everything we asked for was possible without problem. The pool in the garden is wonderful.

The restaurant could offer a little vegan options. They were able to make us something, which was good, and tasty, but it was difficult to communicate as we do not speak spanish and the waiter did not speak english very well. He did his best though, and I must add that it worked out, but maybe a mention on the menu that vegan is possible would be helpful.

staff were very friendly, helpful and spoke English. It is close to the seawalk, and the Old Town which we were there to see. We had a fine meal in town, there are a number of well appointed restaurants. The front desk assisted with reservations and taxi. Room was a good size and clean. They have a small bar and lounge area which was comfortable. They have parking on site; a real bonus for me as we had rented an SUV (asked for a small car, whole nother story) and needed room to park. Narrow streets and even narrower parking spots are the rule, unlike USA. So, the parking spot was much appreciated.

the AC didnt work.

Spacious and very clean. A short walk to all the action in town and also next to bus stop for San Sebastián. Looked like a nice pool but we didn’t get in.

€16 for parking, but I found a free space on the street. No safe place for bikes but there is a gate to the hotel.

Most everything. Very good price for a 4-star. It´s close to the picturesque old town and the receptionist was helpful. Hondarribia is a good alternative for anyone wanting to start trekking El Norte in Spain. If you´ve already been walking a bit and need an adjustment, pop into Lasai for a Thai massage. I went like a jack rabbit afterwards!

Cost of the laundry service.

The staff were fabulous - all very friendly - room was large and comfortable with sofa, table, heating, fridge, TV and nice bathroom. Nice ground floor balcony - central location, close to bus stop - Good coffee and machine in room and 2 small bottles of water free daily

Breakfast was rather expensive at 11 euros, big sign in bathroom about towels but ALL was removed every day

Nice hotel, great location. Walking distance to city center and bars and restaurants. Good WiFi. Decent buffet breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Though not the hotel's fault, Google Maps had a hard time actually finding the exact location. Limted parking in their parking lot.

We stayed here while walking the Camino and really enjoyed the hotel and pool. The location was good for us, near to a grocery shop and the lift to the old town. The pool was fantastic for our weary legs! The staff were so lovely and friendly, and the room luxurious and comfortable.

All was great

As a South African, staff made a huge effort to speak fluently English as possible and helped with transport as well. Well done to the ladies at yor front desk👌
