Hotel Nord 1901

The central position to the old Town was great.

Overall the hotel was central, clean and modern. The pool area was great. We were informed that we couldn't use the pool area the afternoon we checked in as it was being prepared for a private function. Slight niggles were that the beds were hard, like a slab. The Junior suites were the same price but not equally appointed (we'd booked two). Our shower had a loud drip. No information in reception provided on local attractions, markets or restaurants. Had to chase up reception/housekeeping for room supplies/towels forgotten and breakfast items were very sorely missing on our last day, I had to call out to the kitchen and reception for service.. Small things, but annoying.

Great location. Free upgrade. Solid comfortable bed. Great shower. Lovely Rituals toiletries. Pool was quaint and lovely (although only in sun from lunch onwards). Absolutely delightful reception staff with great restaurant recommendations. Full range of breakfast items and lots of decent fruit (juicy cherries!). So clean.. we would wake up to look from Juliette balcony towards pool area and a cleaner properly washing down everything outside every morning. Relaxed feel to the hotel. All round lovely time here. And need some great boutique shops on the road parallel (towards river).

Very friendly and helpful reception staff who were saviours when we were having parking challenges. We got a room upgrade and the pool and garden are exceptional. Really close to old city. Very good breakfast

The underground public car park is very tight and care is needed, we scraped the door pillar. Also it is closed on Sundays, our arrival day, so don't know how we would have got in if there hadn't been a local was behind us Be aware that top-line room rate seems very reasonable but it becomes a bit more expensive when you factor in charges for breakfast and parking for each day

A peaceful haven with a great location. The pool offered welcome relief during the recent hot weather! Breakfast was great with gluten free options offered if you need them. Staff were extremely helpful & pleasant! We had an issue with the air conditioning in our room & when we mentioned it at reception they gave us a suite for our last few nights- which was pure luxury! This boutique hotel is a gem & we highly recommend next time you visit gorgeous Girona!!

Good breakfast for our American tastes— but much more than we could eat so my only suggestion might be to offer less and charge less. The eggs and bacon were very average so maybe skip those and reduce the cost to $11-12 Euros. Or at least add a potato dish if keeping price the same.

The automatic skylight shades opened both nights in the middle of the night and woke us up. It was very annoying! On the third day we asked someone to come up and fix it, which she did. Also- a railing on the pool would be much safer.

Beautiful hotel, just a stones throw away from the old town— still by lots of restaurants and bars and a short 3 min walk to the old medieval quarter. The junior suite in the hotel is amazing. I am glad that we chose this room, as we were traveling both for business and pleasure. So much room, plus xl balcony looking over the pool and restaurant on days that were not that hot was a plus.

Shower situation wasn’t the best. While it was an eco friendly Nebia spa shower, I would call it a fancy misting. Water never got hot enough and my wife hated it. But this is really picky stuff— we made due with the second shower that was on the tub. The breakfast price was a little much for the food. We only got it one morning and decided to eat at other restaurants nearby for the same price.

Staff could not have been more helpful. They provided great recommendations of where to eat and details of what to see in Girona. We were provided with a picnic breakfast as we were leaving early on our day of departure which was much appreciated and excellent. The hairdryer was a proper one, that you didn't have to keep your finger on the button for it to stay on - always a bonus! The hotel is in a fabulous location, would definitely stay there again.

the room was great i loved the space also free netflix! the breakfast was very good i had no phone and Jaime on reception was really helpful everyday sending emails for me so i could contact colleagues the pool was more a plunge pool but the area of the pool was lovely with scented jasmine and a very realxing place to sit and read the location of the hotel was excellent the maps were really useful and guidance from Jaime was invaluable

size of the pool

The location is perfect, in the very center, yet on a quiet street. Classy Interior and garden/pool area.. We paid €130 a night and we had checked lots of other hotels. Felt like a bargain. Good restaurant too.

The Devil lies in på details. The lack of toilet brush in the otherwise well equipped bathroom (digital scale, hair dryer etc.) just felt strange. It is not an item you go down to the reception and ask for when you need one...

What a great find. Location is perfect with everything you need within minutes. The pool area is small but is a little oasis if it's hot enough to swim or sit outside (drinks provided from the bar). Bed really comfortable. Staff were excellent and helpful - well done! Highly recommend this hotel. Parking is paid in a nearby location but as with a lot of European garages there are some very tight corners - not good if you have a large car.
