AluaSoul Palma Hotel Adults Only

The hotel is a good new 4 star hotel, nice lobby with very great comfy sofas to lounge around on, great pool and bar area overlooking the sea. Everything felt new, fresh and very clean. Breakfast was really good, large variety. Room was lovely and although mine overlooked some local houses it faced the mountains beyond Palma and great for late PM sun and sunsets. Welcome bottles of water in the room was a nice touch that 4 other hotels in this resort did not bother with and can make such a difference to a guest. Also toiletries were the best here so you don't really need shower gel, shampoo, conditioner etc. The entertainment at night (probably quite rare in hotels in the resort) by the pool and bar was a brilliant band of young Spanish guitarists and singer, I would probably have paid to see them. The hotel is maybe a 10 minute walk from the main area of the resort which I thought would be an issue as I had a bad foot. However; 1) it is not far with normal fitness and a nice walk along the coastal path at night back from a restaurant, and quite nice actually to feel more secluded; 2) you can hire a bike or electric scooter (at hotel) if they have any available (they didn't when I asked) or there are loads of local shops doing hire. I got an electric bicycle which was great. 3) it opened my eyes to there being a very nice popular coastal path with lanes for cyclists all the way to Palma city and this hotel is perfectly located for that, with some lovely beaches along the way. It's fairy flat with some ups and downs which with the electric bicycle were a breeze even when it was so hot. Overall, I stayed at some very nice hotels in the main resort but this is one I would return to.

The bay the hotel is in does not really have a beach you can lie on (there is a small beach area by a beach club) and is mostly rocky, though there were people on the rocks sunbathing and swimming there, and 10 minutes to the 6 km main beach and on the coastal path to Palma with lots of other nice beaches.

The staff are the most kind people I’ve seen. They helped with everythink I asked. Rooms very clean, and can be cleaned every day if you ask. The food. Amazing. Breakfast almost different every morning, the main items keep the same but you can always find somethink new, authentic. The dinner is different every night ( Mexican, Japanease, Ballearic sea cuisines etc..) and it feels the same as being in high class restaurant. Also live music every night. Even if close to the Airport (3km) planes were not a problem, in the room you cant actually hear them and ai conditioning works perfectly so you dont have to sleep with open windows

The hotel is so clean. There is so much variety for breakfast and the bar food is excellent. The location is lovely as it is quiet but still near lots of things. It is situated on a lovely cycle track. It is quiet and relaxing.

The wifi wouldn’t work in our room. Some of the areas photographed require extra payment i.e front row deck chairs, rooftop pool.

The location is perfect. It is in a quiet housing area, yet close to the city center and restaurants. The view from balcony was amazing for the sunrise and sunset :) Breakfast was exceptional compared to some hotels I had stayed in Mallorca before. There were some varieties each day. Cleanliness was superb!

Wifi was not stable. Since I had to do some work during the trip, it was quite problematic. I stayed on 4th floor.

This recently refurbished and re-opened hotel (previously called Marina Luz) is, in my experience, the best 4-star property in the Can Pastilla/Playa De Palma area. The customer experience is excellent on every level. From the friendly welcome and efficient check-in procedure - backed up with thorough Covid safety procedures throughout the hotel - to the hotel experience itself, this was a very enjoyable stay for myself, my wife and my Mother-in-Law. As you would expect with a refurbished hotel, the decor and ambience across all areas are of a very high standard and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful - thanks to them all, including Silvia, Maite, Eliosa, Xisco, Lupe, Radka, Celine, Alvaro. We had planned to upgrade our rooms to the Club rooms but due to a booking problem, there were none available. However, the hotel very kindly upgraded us to excellent sea view balcony rooms which have been redecorated to a very high standard, with super-comfy beds, large screen Tv, minibar, double shower unit with rose showerhead, as well as toiletries, tea, coffee, safe, etc. The pool area is superb with plenty of comfortable loungers and seating areas - there is a Balinese bed area as well (additional cost). Drinks and food from the pool bar are also very high standard and reasonably priced with a beautiful covered seating area to enjoy your food. Club Sandwich, Nachos, Prawns, Pina Colada are all recommended. Breakfast and dinner are served in a well laid-out, modern restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Quality and range of food are very good, with a Chef station for custom food requests. There is also a gym and spa onsite. From the hotel, you can conveniently access a number of good beaches, restaurants, bars, and amenities as well as the city of Palma de Mallorca (a must-visit destination). Puro Beach, Casanova, Portixol Hotel are good dining experiences.

Not enough promotion of events and facilities.

Location and the views were amazing, staff super friendly, and breakfast was great.

There were signs about sustainability and saving water, but in order to get hot water in the shower you need to run water for 5 to 10 minutes until it starts getting warmer.

The only thing I didn't like it's the fact that the rooftop pool wasn't free. You have to pay 50 euro for one day.

Very modern and immaculately clean. Staff were lovely. We would absolutely go back. Hired bikes from reception for 7 euro for 24 hours and we took the cycle path to Palma. Can't comment too much on the pool as we are beach people and other than breakfast we didn't eat in the hotel as again, we prefer to eat out. Breakfast was super each day

A very minor point. There is a separate section at breakfast for some kind of plus card holder type thing. It's a little bit like all the posh people sit together so they don't have to sit with the common folk. I didn't really get the point of it.

Arrival - The hotel is well presented with a nice lobby and reception area. There was a welcomed fruity water and sweets complimentary on arrival. Check in process was swift, polite, informative and helpful. Rooms - The rooms are adequately sized, equipped and exceptionally clean. The beds were comfy and the air con actually did a half decent job at cooling the room. There were English channels on the TV, so the wife could catch the soaps while getting ready. There are enough socket around the room, with the ones next to the bed having USB sockets integrated. The walls are a little thin so you can hear if the room 3 doors up is having a good time shall we say. Restaurant - the buffet breakfast was always well stocked, with hot “English style” items, lots of lovely fresh bread and pastries, fruits, yoghurt, fresh juice and a live omelette station. The à la cart restaurant offered a good standard of dining that you could visit throughout the day. We didn’t use the buffet in the evening so cannot comment. Entertainment - there were various activities going on throughout the day, from water activities, handstand classes, a live cooking show of paella (which was absolutely delicious and cooked by the best chef in the world 😉) and there was also some sort of live music each night. Pool - the pool area was nice enough with enough sun beds if you are up early enough to get one. Staff - all the team were polite, helpful and friendly. The cleaning staff must have seen my wife’s birthday cards on the bedside table and when we returned that evening there was a piece of cake and a birthday card for her from the hotel. It was a lovely touch. No kids - not hearing one child scream, shout or bomb in the pool was really great, too. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would happily book again when visiting Majorca.

Be aware - there is part of the hotel that is only for exclusive guests. We didn’t get to see or use the roof pool and sun beds, or the exclusive area with Bali beds. The hotel will contact you after you have booked to try an tempt you into exclusive upgrades. we didn’t bother as the upgrade was almost as much as the room again. Also, while not the hotel itself - the small bay out to the left of the hotel has a lot of rotting seaweed that really does kick up a stink as you walk by to the town. Luckily the wind direction means it is blown away from the direction of the hotel and never causes less enjoyment of the hotel.

The rooms were very clean. The Breakfast was great . Dave on reception was very friendly and helpful
