Shilla Stay Samsung

Loved the location; down the street from the Starfield Coex Mall. Right outside the Samseong Station.

Village View suite was actually a “No View” Suite. Windows were frosted so only light came in. Not sure the reason, probably private as many high rises are in the area. Could’ve been advertised better.

+ Good location next to exhibition centre and shopping mall + Front desk staff was very helpful and assisted to accommodate requests as far as practicable + Plenty of amenities + Competitive price when compared with nearby hotels

- Room maintenance could be improved eg. the broken blinds of the bathroom - Lighting of the room was rather dim - The location was good, but there were no direct connections to the exhibition centre or mall

This trip was a meaningful one with precious memories as it was a family trip to our home country. The hotel was in a really good location, making it convenient to use buses or public transportation, and there were many restaurants and convenience facilities nearby. The staff were very friendly and the customer service was excellent. In particular, the concierge service was very convenient to use and they were always kind whenever we made requests. The room service provided daily in each room was also satisfactory.

I booked the comfort leisure room. It should have game console. Saw the xbox but not the joystick. What's the point of keepsafing it elsewhere and make the guest ask when you paid for it. Also didn't quite like the buffet resto. Called a lot of times before they picked up and when I came the staff that I talked to couldn't confirm my reservation. They accepted me anyway. But the food isn't really that good for the price

My stay was in the month of April. I loved how it was across from the COEX. The ease near subway stations was a plus. The staff were helpful and wonderfully friendly. My room felt private and quiet. Though the hotel controlled the temperature, to be able to open a window was refreshing and on hotter days, the hotel’s control of temperature was comfortable! I enjoyed my room immensely. I would stay at this property again in a heart beat!

Like the location and the cleanliness of the room. Really don’t like the noise coming from the street where a construction is ongoing and a nearby building with what appeared to be one of the fanciest screens, glooming too brightly with occasional voice over late into the night.

I stayed here during part of my most recent trip to Korea and it's a great location. I usually stay in Gangnam when I go to Seoul, but usually closer to the actual Gangnam station stop. This location was perfect because I was attending a trade show at COEX and this is across the street from there. I had a fantastic city view room literally looking at the COEX Mall & convention center. This hotel is right off the #7 exit at Samseong so it's perfectly located if you're in town for a trade show. And it's still not too far from other popular tourist spots. So, part of my stay here was comped by the trade show, but I ended up booking additional days for the remainder of my trip. I like that even though I booked for a better room independent of the trade show, the front desk upgraded my complete stay so that I had the nicer room the entire time and not just for the original nights I paid for. This facility has a nice little gym with weight equipment as well as treadmills and an exercise bike. For my comped nights, breakfast was included. It's not the most amazing breakfast but it's fairly decent. This hotel also has a rooftop bar as well as a general buffet facility for lunch and dinner as well. But the staff was very helpful. I kept having issues with my key card and they were able to sort it out quickly each time. Even if I wasn't going for business, I would definitely consider staying here again because it's so conveniently located and the facilities are very nice.

My only complaint was that there wasn't an official set of drawers to store clothing. And as is fairly common in Seoul and most major cities, the room isn't massive — although it's comfy. So, if you have large luggage, you have to kind of figure out where you're going to store it because the sliding closet isn't exactly empty. I use packing cubes so it's not the end of the world. But I ended up leaving my luggage on my bedside area because there was no good place to put it.

Great location, view (19th floor) and style. I could see the TV billboards from my glass shower. Shampoo smelled amazing.

The Front Desk Staff aren't concierges so outside of the area of Samsung where the hotel is, they aren't particularly knowledgeable or helpful.

Great location - very central, close to the subway and Coex Mall. Buffet breakfast was nice. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room was a good size and the bathroom was nice.

The air conditioning wasn't working when we stayed and the room was too hot. They told us to open the window, but as we were on a main road next to a major intersection, it was very busy. Also there were giant billboards flashing brightly most of the night, so keeping the curtains and windows open all night was not really an option. I wish we'd known before we stayed there, but the price was cheap perhaps because of this. But full disclosure would have been appreciated. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel.

location and view are outstanding. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

at times housecleaning was inconsistent and my bedspread and robe was a little torn - however it’s easily fixed if needing to by speaking to reception and I appreciate the sustainable efforts the hotel puts in so not the biggest issue.
