Knysna Log-Inn Hotel

The staff were super friendly and helped us with questions. The location was near to the waterfront and perfect for exploring Knysna on foot. Breakfast was in the sister hotel across the road. It was pretty decent although there was no gluten free bread. There was on site parking which was really appreciated.

The room was fairly small and dark with no windows to the outside. It was fairly noisy early on the Friday evening (5pm) with people on the street outside our bathroom window but it was quiet later when we were going to sleep.

The breakfast was great.

I just didn't like waking up very early for breakfast. It would be nice if the time can be extended to 10:00am

The stay was wonderful. Will come back for sure

Can you please put in a bar fridge in the rooms and perhaps more dstv channels, because there was nothing to watch on tv

We stayed in the 3* property previously known as the Graywood Hotel. The room was very clean and exceeded our expectations. Location of the accomodation was very good and it was walking distance to the Knysna waterfront. As for safety, the street towards the waterfront is safe to walk after it gets dark. Good to also check with the staff on the safety expect. Seafood at the O Pescador Restaurant was amazing.

Due to loadshedding, electricity gets cut and thankfully the property has generator to ensure we still have electricity. However we were given the room beside the generator (Room 50) and it was noisy for some hours during bedtime and the early morning hours.

The fact that all facilities were available even in loadshedding made the stay incredibly easy and worry free. The accomodating aspect for this weekends runners and the shifting of breakfast times were really special and much appreciated! The hotel is situated perfectly close to everything you need within a quick 2 min walk!

We had a small timing issue with the cleaning staff and our room, so they actually missed cleaning our room and refreshing our towels. However the next morning we went down to reception and had no issues getting clean towels. The timing was created by the fact we ran the marathon, otherwise we would have been all good.

The hotel was lovely, and the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was provided and the food and service was excellent.

The only thing I didn’t like about the hotel was that the shower was over a bath which was rather difficult to climb into and out of. We are both in our mid sixties and would prefer a seperate showers cubicle.

The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff was exceptional. They went over and beyond to cater for our needs. Martin, Mindy, Pamela and Vuyi at reception. Aunty Anna and her staff at breakfast. All these people were Amazing. Thank you for very much for making our stay at the hotel memorable. I will certainly recommend this hotel based on the service of the above-mentioned people.

.A certain senior manager was rude and definitely had an attitude problem. When quering a mail that she sent erroneously, the person concerned was inconsiderate and aloof. Instead of excepting the error, she continued to make the situation worse by justifying the error And raising her voice. It was hard to believe she was a manager as she had no customer service skills at all. We debated for a good 15min before my spouse told her to apologize as the error was clearly on their system. She conceded eventually. The lady at the reception even understood our dilemma and understood us.. But not this manager

The buffet breakfast was well stocked with a different variety of options. 1 small suggestion though, please separate the meat items from the other items, this will allow other guests peace of mind in terms of no cross contamination of meat and non meat items. It was still great though. We enjoyed the cereal, fruit, muffins and delicious pancakes!!!!! It is centrally located which makes shopping a breeze and the Waterfront is in walking distance. The room was beautifully clean and most welcoming after a long journey. The staff were so great and very accommodating.

Towards the end of our trip there was a huge group of school kids who made the last night quite unpleasant. We had reported the noise to reception who immediately took action and ensured the matter was addressed. Apart from the last rowdy night, it was smooth sailing.

The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was of very high standard, our family really enjoyed it, the staff was very friendly and customer focused.

It would have been ideal to have our daughters stay in a room either next to or in the same corridor as ours, as they are under age. My wife and I occupied room 206 and the children room 134.
