Kruger Park Lodge

Location is perfect, close to the Kruger National Park and all the shops are within a close proximity. The whole setting was very relaxing and our chalet was very spacious with a full kitchen and clean at all times we were there. The restaurant food was also awesome.

The facility is beautiful & not to far from othet attractions. It's peaceful with stunning views. Huge facility with attractions close by.

Wifi was not sufficient 1 booked a chalet for 6 people but was told you only get 1 gig for the whole house for the whole stay. Not flexible with bed changes (from single to double beds) for each room when requested.

We liked everything about our stay, the place is clean and cozy the view is amazing

The fact that we couldnt play music, The reception for us was too far

The restaurant is the best we have EVER experienced - the chef and Restaurant manager has outdone themselves - all the food and service at the restaurant was amazing - staff at the park were all friendly and helpful. The place is beautifully well maintained.

At the chalets closer to the entry gate, you can hear the music of the villages nearby and the traffic is noisy as Hazyview has expanded so much). Other chalets further away are beautiful and peaceful. The park can look at alternatives to loadshedding, not much in the chalet to help when the power is off

We enjoyed our unit, there was a river flowing past, and the sounds were soothing. The place is clean. There's privacy between the units. We enjoyed our stay very much. Animals roam around, it's amazing. I also enjoyed having the main bedroom downstairs and the 2 kids rooms upstairs far from us. The unit is cleaned daily, which is needed when you're on holiday. The last thing you want is house chores. They also have Game drive tours to the Kruger National Park.

The water in the swimming pool was too warm for the summer heat. The aircon in the main bedroom was not working, we had to use the fan above the bed.

Went outside as we did not know where it was and what it sold

Limited wifi access because the lodge is in an area with poor coverage so stable network connectivity would be good as I'm on content on demand like yotube or netflix at home so inteenet will let me continue that

The bathrooms need an upgrade. Very small baths and the showers had very little pressure as well as the gradient in the shower floor not allowing one to stand in a stable position. Also from a safety point of view I was most concerned about the fact that some of the upstairs bedroom windows did not have any safety bars on them especially the wendy window which glass was also very thin and someone could easily go through it.

very well maintained accommodation and gardens. I li I liked that the chalets had three bedrooms all ensuite. very good restaurant. good facilities for activities. putt putt tennis trampoline etc

in a resort of this caliber there should be a heated pool - the water was ice cold. the main bedroom in the 3 bedroom chalets is upstairs and cut off from two bedrooms downstairs. this is a problem with small children who need to be close to parents

it is a great family getaway resort with exciting activities for the kids during the Easter week all the staff are friendly and helpful

the restaurant on the premises is really slow only 1Gb of wifi available for the whole stay, 1Gb is absolutely nothing for a 4 night stay, it was used up within 2 hours, wifi should be unlimited in a place like this is there are a lot of foreigners as well. lighting for loadshedding can be upgraded

Location was great and the four bedroom chalet was perfect sized for our 7 adults and 3 small kids (they all slept with their parents in the big bed but there was plenty of space in the bedroom if you needed to set up a cot). The kitchen is well equipped, there's a full size fridge/freezer that housed all our food for the week, crockery is always sparse in self catering but there was lots of serving dishes and utensils. There's a microwave, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine and you can have the house serviced every day. You'll need to bring your own dishwasher powder and laundry detergent, and there are no oven gloves. There are many activities at the lodge, tennis, pools, playgrounds, golf and the bar is excellent.

House keeping wasn't particularly consistent, some days they were phenomenal and other days they did the bare minimum often leaving us without sufficient towels, not cleaning the deck chairs, not replacing toiletries or removing some of the cleaning things that we brought (like dishwashing scourers). You can easily call reception and ask for additional supplies but really, you don't want to have to do that. Wifi is not free - and it costs as much as most mobile operators.
