the room service. room service is not controlled by the hotel, it’s controlled by the restaurants, we’re told it closes at 10h30pm but on numerous occasions during the 4 days, they were closing up earlier, an inconvenience for hotel guests. also allowing the restaurants to control the process means they can’t control the quality of the room service experience. this needs to be reviewed.

The staff we're amazing always helpful and would go the extra mile for anything you need. Location is ideal, walking distance to lots of coffee shops, restaurants, and grocery stores. Room was exactly as advertised, modern, spacious, and spotless. Would definitely stay here again.

Check in was easy and organised. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Bed was comfortable. Could easily call room service to the downstairs restaurant untill 10pm. Food portion was big.

I went up to the rooftop to see the view and to scout if it's a place I would want to book for dinner (the view is AMAZING btw), however the staff were extremely uptight and did not want me to have a look at the view. I would still like to book there, but it soured my experience. As a hotel guest, I feel that they could give me 5 minutes to see the place when the place isn't full. I did not disturb any guests, there were only 2 people on the rooftop outside area so I really can't see any point why I couldn't just have a quick peak. It's not like I wanted to look but not book. I actually would like to go there, however I am weary if the service will be friendly and inviting.

The Capital Mirage makes you feel at home. Right from the check-in, to food, to staff or the rooms, everything is a tick in the box. Never expected a 4 star hotel to exceed my expectations, but this hotel did! Would specifically like to mention the staff who were not just courteous and friendly, but also extremely well trained and problem solvers!! Marco, Michelle, Nobafundi, Lian, Kevin and many more who were extremely friendly and generous in helping the other person out! Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is travelling to Cape Town and looking for a 4 to 5 star hotel. This property is surely a hard to miss!!

Roofs were undone and lights in the rooms were a little dim.

The apartment was fully equipped with everything that you need and beautifully decorated. Very modern and comfortable. Also centrally located with nearby attractions such as the V&A and table mountain. The restaurant was an absolute gem with it's stunning mountain views An absolute bonus was the music player. There's also an onsite spa available. Would definitely be back.

The parking lot gets locked at a certain time making it difficult to gain access again. I had to wait outside Infront of the gate, call the hotel because security weren't stationed at the entrance making it feel unsafe and it took some time.

Room was amazing. Cleanliness - 10 out of 10. There is everything you need. The hotel took into account our wishes and we had a wonderful room with a view of sunrises and sunsets. The people are awesome, no breakfast included, but there is Origin Coffee Roasting cafe just around the corner with delicious omelets and croissants. 25 minutes walk to the VA Waterfront (pay attention to the routes under the bridges - they do not look very safe). It's only a 10-minute walk to the tourist spots in the center (Hop-on Hop-off bus stop, walking tours to Castle of Good Hope and Bo-Kaap) and 2 minutes to Bo-Kaap.

It would be great to add a couple of capsules for the washing machine

The venue was great and well located, central to all activities and our business venue. There were excellent coffee shops and places to have alternate breakfast just outside the hotel.

After we checked in and got to our room, we realized that the room allocated to us was not what we requested. On inquiry, we were told that they had problems with the room allocation and were overbooked. However, within a few minutes, the rooms were changed and I was allocated the correct category room and moved by the porter. Why was I not told this when they allocated me a room but waited for me to raise the issue?

Room service not great at all and only available till about 10pm.

The service is very good. I booked a day early as i would be arriving very early the following day and didn't want to wait until afternoon to check in. Unfortunately i didn’t indicate this when i made the booking - by 7pm when i hadn't checked in the hotel called me all the way in Nigeria to ask if id still be coming or if they should cancel my reservation. After the call they sent me an email to check in online so on my arrival i could just pick up my key card. On the day of arrival check in took 5 minutes as everything had been done online and room and key card were set up and waiting for me. Room was spacious, cleaned daily, very friendly and efficient staff, they had a really good rooftop restaurant unfortunately it was fully booked everyday but they went out of their way to get me a seat on the deck with blankets to keep me warm. For the price extremely good value for money.

Room service food wasn't great and not a lot of variety so i only used it once. I was scheduled to stay for a week but they forgot to deduct full reservation amount when I arrived so on my 2nd night when I returned to hotel my key card had been deactivated because they said I had paid for only one night. I thought that was really poor on their part - however it was resolved immediately.
