Fab spot and I would love to have stayed longer. A lucky, last minute discovery with the owner, Garry, greeting me immediately upon my arrival, supporting an early check-in/bag drop, and who was really helpful during my stay, in addition to having very nice staff. Great breakfast selection and Garry very kindly had breakfast available early for me as I had to leave at 7am to catch a flight. Large bedroom and bathroom, very clean, well furnished, nice decor, and looked out on to the pool area. Lovely outdoor shared terrace area and upstairs balcony seating for dining.

Repeat purchaser - I had to come back. The location is superb! Beautiful views of signal hill, which is just behind. And one can see paragliders flying off the hill too. And off-street parking is a rare luxury in the city. Pre-check-in communication is a nice touch. The entire place is pin neat. And my room was light & bright. The honesty bar is so endearing. I just love it. The owner wants you to feel comfortable, relaxed and at home. And he remembers all the guests' names and offers suggestions of sites & activities. That local knowledge that a visitor wants to get a real authentic experience. And only the best places Towels were white & fluffy. Aircon AND a fan. Best of both. There was more cupboard space than I have at home. 6 doors, at least with an archway in to the big bathroom with a large mirror and double sink. Which also gets a great amount of bright sunlight which is great for anyone doing makeup. Met the owner today, at breakfast. Great host. I noticed his interactions with each of his guests. It's like talking to an old friend. He is sincere and thoughtful. And has only the best tips & suggestions for a visitor. He is like a like a local experienced tour guide. And the breakfast selection has a wide variety of items. Something for everyone: proteins, muffins, pastries, cereals, breads, jams, big (huge) bowl of fruit, with a selection of yoghurts, different cheeses. It is a lot of choice! But it feels very homely. The staff is on-hand if you have a special request. Filtered coffee, different teas, fruit juices, espresso, cappuccino, americano. In summary, the breakfast covers all the hits, and it covers it well. The guesthouse is very quiet! I did not hear or see anyone else the entire time I was there. I like the entrance on the corner, it's the perfect 'bus stop' for an uber. Easy to find and easy to get dropped off right by your gate.

With all these great reviews, the place is going to be fully booked the next time, I am in the city.

Perfect location, super welcoming and caring staff, well maintained property, very clean, fast WiFi, perfect for remote workers or digital nomads, delicious breakfast..service in general has been through the roof. I'm going to go back and stay for 2 months at this place.

I recently enjoyed a stay at Sundown Manor, which was truly remarkable. The guest house's proximity to the Cape Town promenade was the pinnacle of my visit, affording easy access to stunning seaside walks and views. Unlike larger hotels, this cozy establishment boasts impressive cleanliness and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Its location is unbeatable, nestled close to the sea and within easy reach of various local shops and eateries.

Really great location. Kim is an amazing host. Very welcoming, helpful, and genuinely kind.The bed was very comfortable. Good breakfast. Backup power in case of load shedding. Overall, everything was perfect.

Nothing about the service, but the rooms are carpeted, so if you have allergies, it might be a little uncomfortable. With some antihistamines on hand, it wasn't that bad because the rooms are cleaned well every day.

The guest house is well located in a safe area of the town. The breakfast was well above average in this price category. Parking was safe, too. The public area of the guest house was nice, clean, and inviting. Overall, for the price paid, it was a very good stay.

The bathrooms were in a bad condition. The wooden floor was uneven due to water in the wooden strips, the toilet water leaked. Mold next to the shower. In context of the price paid and the rest of the room, this was acceptable and not a big problem.

Beautiful place - unique, clean, quiet, and conveniently and safely located. Comfortable room with great mattress. Delicious breakfast. Exceeded our expectations! Owners, Gary and Felicity are excellent hosts. Delightful staff - Kim and Tameka were lovely - very friendly, accommodating, helpful and thoughtful. We loved our stay and look forward to coming back. Have already recommended it to fellow travellers!

Gary and his team work hard and deliver a very high standard at Sundown Manor Guesthouse. The bedrooms and bathrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The lounge, breakfast terrace, pool and grounds make this a home from home. An ideal location for walking to the local shops / restaurants. Secure parking. A 10 minute drive to Cape Town’s Waterfront.

Staff and owners were so friendly helpful and informative. We arrived on early morning flight and were offered breakfast and room to shower and change, despite our check in not due until the afternoon. Offered many local tips and information. Laundry was done and off-street parking good.

A few of the bathroom fittings and fixtures are starting to get dated and worn. But this is the only thing I could mention. We had a great stay

Ah man, I love this place! Kim was amazinggggggg; she actually said she feels like she's not doing enough for me. 🤗 Kim is such a sweetheart, and very accommodating. Guy came to greet me which is unlike most owners of such a beautiful property. The facilities were very nice, just like the pictures. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept on in Cape Town. The internet was a little unstable in my room but very fast. Shops and food were about a 5-7 minute walk so the location is great. The other guests and the housekeepers were very nice as well, no weird vibes. I didn't partake in the mini bar but for a very small fee you can get booze or any type of soft drink. Tea and coffee is included which was nice. I would definitely come back! Had a fantastic stay for real. Thanks guys!

I work overnight because of the time difference from The US and sometimes I need a snack but they had completely locked the kitchen which I thought was a little strange.
