Mama's Design & Boutique Hotel

This was such a wonderfully unexpected treat. Fabulous breakfast, spotlessly clean, a pillow ‘menu’ which was brilliant, loads of spare bedding in case of chills ( which there were not) , robes, slippers, fine glassware. And a very well stocked minibar if that is your thing. The wellness suite was beautiful and the staff gently and quietly efficient and helpful.

It’s a little walk to the old town but very handy for the station and public transport is excellent, so this is not a negative.

The staff were really nice and friendly! The ladies from the reception seem to do everything, but still manage to smile and be really nice. The location is nice and you can easily get to the centre. It seemed clean. We didn’t visit the pool and spa area.

The rooms are quite small, as soon as you enter there is the bed, they are also not very sound proof as we could hear a dog and the shower from the room next to us. The breakfast was ok, but not very luxurious.

It is quite centrally located, about 10 mins drive to the old town. The breakfast was good, and they make fresh eggs for your liking if requested. The gym, pool and sauna was also a nice touch, very clean.

I did feel that some of the guests stared because I’m not from Slovakian which made me feel slightly uncomfortable. I also came back to the hotel late after a wedding, and the front door was locked so had to bang the door for someone to let me in as there was no one at reception.

kitchen manager (or some female of a different position from the hotel staff) was rude in front of the hotel/restaurant guests, her bossy comments towards other members of the staff who had been taking a lunch break were not polite and she really annoyed the great atmosphere of the hotel. besides that, everyone else from the staff have been super nice and helpful and they let me stay to work in the lobby after my check-out, which was obviously a problem for the mean lady. the receptionists were lovely though. thank you and I hope that the mean lady can find a way how to control her bad manners. also, the soup i ordered for my lunch was kind of tasteless, I guess I know who cooked it.

The room was clean, very well equiped and also quite stylish. We didnt spend time in the wellness-area, but this part of the hotel seemed to be nice as well.

Its not that close to the citycenter like other options in bratislava. On the other side, you have a pretty nice neighbourhood to have a walk at, far away from the noisy and touristic part of the city center.

Rooms and bathrooms are of sufficient size. everything was neat and clean. The pool, sauna and gym were great. Quiet location, you can quickly get to the center, there are several fine restaurants nearby.

The breakfast area has fewer tables, so it can get crowded. Parking is 20€/day so I think this is expensive. We had a few problems with the room card that stopped working but the staff solved it quickly

Beautiful room with illuminated wall that looked like amber. Nice pool with view if garden and trees. Sauna looked good, but I did not use. Breakfast was very good, with lots of selections. Lobby and eating area very pretty and cozy. Lovely hotel!

On my last day the pool chemicals seemed extra strong -- just adjusted?

Lovely boutique hotel in quiet location yet walking distance from city centre. Staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. Room was very clean, modern and the bed very comfy - we even had a choice of pillow types. Breakfast was delicious!

Swimming pool was very small

From check in to check out this hotel was a wonderful experience, we had to be in Hainburg the next morning and there was nothing in Austria but this hotel was perfect. Very helpful check in and receptionist, the fitness room pool and hot tubs were very pleasant as was the restaurant.

If your room is at the streetside you may find that the staff that come for breakfast at around 5:00 am or so will have a chat outside your window which can wake you up

Small pool and strong bleach odor at pool area. Had to leave after few minutes as my eyes and nose started to have burning sensetion. Parking for additional fee of 20Eur per day.
