Union Plaza Hotel

Amazing, huge executive room on 11th floor with a balcony and view over the whole city. The bar restaurant on 12th floor was also great. Great location - 15 minutes walk to the old city centre.

For 12 floors, three elevators were not enough, sometimes a lot of waiting, especially that people go to the top-floor restaurant all the time. Perhaps would be better to keep one elevator only for the restaurant visits.

Room was very nice, with a very nice view and the restaurant / lobby persons were super nice and ready to provide help! Very good location in heart of Bucharest !

Usually such type of hotel have near the lobby a small table with 1 computer -2 computers or some small / discreet coffee tables ... instead this hotel has a ridiculous huge couch at the entrance and that's it 😅 I had to pickup a meeting in my room and table in room is super small and wifi not very good connection... so I hold it from my mobile phone on my data mobile.

The hotel is nice, but its trying to look more luxurious than its actually is. Firstly i honestly booked it, because of sky bar which was closed during our staying, because of some renovation. Did not find any note, except when we arrived. Breakfast was good, but basic one, nothing special. Room seems to be renovated, but i think quality of material is not the best. You can hear people from coridour into room, doors are really thin and when we were closing it, handle stayed in my hand several times. Bathroom looks nice, but it could have a hangera for towels and so. It was okay staying, but really nothing extraordimary. Best thing about hotel is service in my opinion, whoch was alway pleasent and helpfull

Location: The hotel it's on main Unirii bulevard with a very nice panoramic view from 12th floor restaurant. Rooms: The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and the towels were changed every day. It feels like a new hotel. Parking: Always available in front of the hotel or beside the hotel free of charge. Breakfast: The breakfast was very good (it includes also some Romanian dishes) and is in the 12th floor with panoramic view over Bucharest. Ilie and Adrian in Skybar were really friendly.

The parking barrier is down when the parking in front of the hotel is full, however sometimes you just need to drop the luggage/shopping.

Very central. Excellent view of the city. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Very good food at their Sky Bar, both breakfast and dinner.

The elevator is a bit of a pain: only 3 elevators for a rather large hotel. When they have a conference or company gathering you can wait for a long time to catch one. I have one suggestion: please consider having a filter coffee machine so you can get a cup of coffee faster, and something between and americano and an expresso. And have lid for you paper cups so you can take it on the go, when you go work or out.

The hotel is conveniently located and very close to a nice area, on the river, full of restaurants. The rooms are silent and comfortable, although they lack coffe facilities, one of wardrobe doors was not closing properly and the floor is permanently stained. The bathroom seems recently renovater and the breakfast buffet satisfying.

Unfortunately, during my morning exercises I laid on the floor and saw a sock forgotten by the previous guest (at least I hope it was not older), which had not been removed by the cleaning service. This means, of course, that the floor had not been properly hoovered.

Not sure if I'd classify it as four stars, but it sure is good value for the money. Very clean, exceptionally well positioned, with spectacular views from the top floors (and also from the sky bar & restaurant), good wi-fi, nice and friendly staff, good-size room and decent breakfast. The coffee machine in the room was much appreciated, the pillows were just right for my taste, and overall cute, simple decor (I guess they were going for a minimalist-modern look).

A few things: the minibar in my room didn't work at all (this could be an easy fix), across the hall there was a storage room and sooo much noise was made late at night when the staff from the bar above were getting ready to leave (we're talking 10pm-12pm), no handy towel rack (as others already mentioned), and overall a certain scarcity in facilities and amenities for a four-star hotel. Luckily, in my opinion, the pluses outweigh the minuses. Ah, and there's also a 20 RON fee (at the time of writing this review) for any room service, which I found odd. Also, the lights are quite dim for the entire room and the landline (phone) wouldn't work either.

The rooftop restaurant is stunning especially if you are able to watch the sun set when the weather is good. The view up the main street towards the Parliament building is great. The rooms are modern, clean and large. The staff at reception were vey polite, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice and the food in the restaurant for dinner was also very good and not overpriced. Most attractions are in walking distance of the hotel and if not, Uber is very easy and safe to use.

The room was very stuffy as the window wouldn't stay open and the air con seemed to have a mind of its own. I was in 906 and opposite the elevators which is a noisy part of the hotel to be as the doors seemed very thin. It is on a very noisy road with a lot of sirens and angry drivers. The restaurant in the sky bar is great, however there is no actual separate bar. So, if you just fancy a drink there isn't really anywhere to accommodate you unless by change there is a spare table in the restaurant. The staff in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast were a bit hit and miss. Some were very good but others were actually rude.

They had the restaurant open just till 22.00, and the sky bar closed. And we pick that exactly hotel just for sky bar to enjoy some time there.

The union plaza is a nice play to stay, i would recommend it to anyone that wants a practical and modern hotel. The rooms are okay in size, beds are nice and we got some good night sleep. There is also a good mini fridge in the room with cheap prices and enough items. Breakfast is served at the 12th flooor / SkyBar which is pretty much my favorite part of the hotel due to the amazing 180 degree of the entite city of Bucurest. *breakfast is okay, wouldn’t say its the biggest food choice, however its enough to start the day right” Parking is available on the premises at the front of the hotel as well as an additional parking land next to the hotel. The staff were nice and always came in handy when needed to assist with any information needed or something to help not just for the hotel but the city. There is free wifi everywhere, but in my room i experienced some low speed and on/off connection, but that is not a problem. Overall, a nice experience and stay at Bucurest🇷🇴 Will come back to visit soon 🤩

Would not say i didnt like something, however i would recommend including a dental kit in the bathroom accessories, more routers for better wifi connection, and more tables at the skybar’s outside part cause it was amazing 👍🏻
