Hotel Royal Amsterdam

The location was exactly what I wanted! I wanted to be able to access Walking Street within a few steps of my room, I wanted to see the women the night life and all the craziness that WS has to offer and this Hotel was perfect for that!

The bed for some reason had a hump in the middle, not too bad but for my rolling around constantly it posed a little obstacle, it was firm like I like em though, great for sitting and editing videos without sinking in.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was very clean, nice bathroom, mini bar had a huge selection at a good price which was nice, very good location if you enjoy the nightlife scene, good security guards who are also very friendly. Also allows smoking in the room. Staff was helpful arranging laundry and airport taxi. Room had a very 90s vibe which I actually really liked. Highly recommend definitely seems like the best value hotel in the area.

The rooms are very large as well as the bathroom with double sinks and a bath tub as well as stand alone shower. 2 person + 1person sofa set up in the premier room. Bed is King size everything works well and is in the middle of the busiest street.

The rooms are quite old and looks it in some places but at the price and size its really good value The room as an awful key power system so you have to turn all the power in the room off when you go outside even down to reception. When you come back need to turn everything back on wait for the rooms AC to cool it down.

Hotel conveniently located on Walking street, the staff is very friendly and helpfull in any way. Rooms and bathrooms are very big and comfortable and the inside of the hotel is beautifully decorated with brown wood, giving it calm and authentic feeling.

The beds are as a few other guest already mentioned hard and can be uncomfartable for people who like a soft mattress. The restaurant is only offering Indian food, so if you dont like Indian food you will need to look somewhere else for a meal. Breakfast options are minimal.

The large bedroom rooms and bathroom. The bar fringe was a larger size that most hotels I have stayed in. The range of alcoholic and soft drinks was very good. The was also a large range of chocolates,chips and biscuit on offer as well. Friendly staff

I had a room first floor overlooking the street which would have been nosier that other rooms. I could hear the music from the night club next door but did not prevent me form sleeping.

The hotel appears to have been recently completely renovated and is extremely clean. The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcomed daily. The room had a very well-stocked refrigerator and the prices were quite reasonable. During our four-night stay, we did not notice any bugs which seems unusual in the area. The air conditioner easily cooled the room and made the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel was very accommodating; however, the area in which it is located is very similar to Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. (The Red Light district). The restaurant was under renovations and not open so we had to walk to other local eating establishments, I.e. Jolly Bee, MacDonalds, etc... There was no elevator in the hotel and we stayed on the third floor which meant walking stairs.

This hotel and it's staff are truly exceptional.The rooms are very nice .If there's a power cut ,a generator kicks in and powers everything back to normal. Can't beat the location , it's in the middle of everything . Double glazed windows keep out the noise . Lots of channels on the TV to choose from .Updated bathrooms with good water pressure .

There's nothing to not like about the Royal Amsterdam.Its a fantastic hotel .

Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and clean

Asked for a ground floor room, but couldn't accommodate. Was given first floor. No lift and it was difficult for an old guy like me with my heavy luggage

Staff was always helpful and protective of their customers making out of country visitors feel secure. They were very polite and friendly and were always available if anything was needed

The bed. The mattress was extremely hard. I could not get a single night's rest unfortunately.

Convenient location .

I was charge for a burnt cigarette carpet. Not sure who did it . Proper investigation was not done . So therefore not really happy .
