Great spot. Walking distance to shops and beach. Pool was great. Apartment was a good size for a family with a good layout.

The Apartment was a bit tired and in need of a freshen up. Basic cleanliness level, but was in need of a good deep clean. Dust on top of fridge, in TV cabinet,laundry floors. Glass tables hadn't been cleaned properly and were covered in smear marks. Fawcet in the kitchen needed fixing. Utensils were aveage. Just minor things, but for the cost we expected better.. The lady in the office wasn't very pleasant on arrival. She was rude and grumpy to some other guests while we were waiting to check in and wasn't very welcoming to us either, so first impressions weren't great. Overall it is a great place and location and with a few changes, it could be an amazing place. It's just a gamble as to what Apartment you end up in and what condition it's in we're guessing.

We booked a one bedroom apartment via booking.com. We were allocated a two bedroom/two bathroom set out over two floors, but were not able to use the second bedroom and second bathroom or we would be charged an additional rate which was fair enough. The apartment was spacious, laundry area with tub and dryer. Upstairs was big open plan lounge and kitchen. Bathroom with a bath and shower over. Bedroom with a good sized bed and decent wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board. The outdoor area had a clothes rack to dry clothes. Nice balcony overlooking the pool, which can be noisy at times, however, there is a 8pm noise control in place which works well. Very quiet over night, until the birds wake at 5 a.m. ! Good parking, right outside the apartment. Easy few minutes walk to Whitianga Wharf, town centre and beach. Supermarkets a short drive away, or about a 20 minute walk. There is a Four Square around the corner for basics. No late check out allowed (10 a.m.) Definitely recommend and would stay again.

A slightly later check out would have been nice.

Lots of space in the house, 2 bedrooms with double beds, the garage has been transformed into another bedroom. Upper floor with a very nice living room and well equipped kitchen

Only basic cleaning: if you’re taller than 1,70 you can see the dust on the fridge, window boards dirty, under the armchairs remaining nibbles from other guests, WiFi unstable and slow, tv had no internet, fancy electric armchairs without functioning due to missing cables

So close to the lost springs and walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Property was very clean and comfortable.

When we booked a one bedroom apartment it showed there was one flight of stairs. We didn’t like that our apartment was three stories with two steep flight of stairs with no toilet on the middle main living area and we had to choose one bathroom and one bedroom to use or we would be charged extra…… So the bathroom was up two steep flights of stairs. Not great when you have crook knees

Love the location & closeness to the lost springs, beach, ferry, shops & nice restaurants/ cafes. Staff were welcoming, accommodating & attentive to fix anything missing ie: handwash in bthrm. Immediately topped up.

The couch had seen better days.. a few springs coming through to the cushion. Couldn't sit at that end of the couch. I'm sure if the resort staff were made aware they would bring to attention of apartment owner. Had a couple of things to mention & completely omitted to let them know about this issue.

Centrally located property, close to amenities. Very well maintained place and definitely value for money. Staff was very friendly, strong wifi and safe parking. Overall, a very safe environment

We thought the pool was heated, it probably was, but the water temperature was still towards the colder side. We couldnt take a dip in there, and the timing was only till 6 pm. I felt it was too early to close. But overall it was a great stay, will definitely stay there again.

We loved that the resort was in such good condition. We spoke with some of the owners and they pointed out how well the facilities were maintained to such a high standard. We didn’t use the pool but we’re told that the water was warm and the kids had a blast using the facilities. The shortcut to the Lost Spring hot pools was also a big advantage. We had a wonderful time from checkin to checkout. You are so close to the CBD that we could walk almost anywhere quickly for entertainment and meals. I’m sure that our grandkids will enjoy it when we return for another getaway.

I loved everything about this Motel Way above my Expectations 100% Good for Couples,Family had everything you could imagine. We were happily accommodated for arriving after their check-in time - a key was left out for us. 3 bed apartment has lots of room, large kitchen & dining area plus lounge room, to spread out & be comfortable.

Moulded plastic shower noisy: the water falling on the plastic was loud enough to wake me in the adjoining bedroom. This, along with the plastic wall covering around bath, is a cheap finish to an otherwise nicely furbished apartment. Bit of a hike up two steep staircases to bedrooms & bathroom.

For us it was our last part of our journey after hectic week of fishing. Tennis court, cafes, quality food, and the nicest place to stay a bonus. I do think you should make it more known that it is a luxurious 3 level apartment. Will appeal to many and more informed to the less mobile of the 2 steep level of stairs. For us it was fantastic.
