We stayed in the Gallery Suite 8th-26th Dec then the twin Bureau 26th to 31st Dec and from the Room Service, to the food, to the views, the basin, the grassy area, the vending machine, to the facilities and the ample parking available and all the hospitable and kind workers we encountered, I couldn't fault Waipuna! I stayed with my toddler and had family visiting everyday and all felt welcome no matter what time of day or night we moved about. We ordered from their restaurant daily, we were never dissappointed and the coffee was delicious. We hardly used the fridge or the room jug as we ate out alot or ordered from their restaurant. I thank you all, especially Shalika who serviced our room on level 5 which contributed to making our stay one we will never forget! My toddler loved recycling his water bottles each day. felt sad leaving. Our stay was perfect for us! We'll be back. Thank you!

Only if you could put locks on the bathroom doors please.

The rooms were a good size and the shampoo and body wash they supply donated to children’s charities which was so awesome to see

The restaurant was quite expensive so had platters in the bar, the chicken pizza we ordered was the best thing supplied. The platters were over cooked the chicken nibbles were as hard as a rock and nothing had seasoning or salt on it. Ever the squid was bland when it was supposed to be to be salt and pepper squid. For the $170 we spent on two platters and two pizzas it def wasn’t worth it and we needed up spending more buying noodles out the vending machine. The pillows are way too thick you can’t sleep on them. Our son slept on it and went to his Colgates event the next day unable to move his neck or shoulder properly.

The room was perfect! The bathroom included a decent size bathtub; I'm 6ft and managed to have a decent soak in it. The bed was comfortable, while the bedroom came with a large tv, table & chair and a small balcony. The lounge had a complete lounge-suite, while the dining area had a dining set. The room included a coffee machine & microwave. The room had a great view of the Panmure Basin. Finally, it is a 15min walk to Sylvia Park Mall which had everything we needed.

For the price of the room, a bigger fridge, bigger TV in the lounge and a cooker/convection oven would be good.

We booked 2 rooms. One was a twin room and the other a Gallery Suite. Both were clean and spacious and more than met our expectations. The huge Sylvia Park Shopping Centre was nearby so for everything including groceries, shopping and dining was most convenient. Happy to recommend the place to others.

The location is not exactly near the City Centre. It's less than 15 minutes when traffic is light but otherwise Auckland traffic congestion can make it challenging (about 0.5 hour with a long detour recommended by Google Map, and that's on a weekend) if you are short for time. On the other hand, it is nearer the airport, so on balance, it's not too bad.

Loved the Buffet Breakfast, please give a shout out to the chief that was on in the morning as he was awesome with our toddler, the rest of the team in there were also very nice and professional as were the rest of the staff we encountered on our days there.

Was disappointed that through booking.com it does not advise you, that you need to pay an extra $100 at check in it only tells you after you have booked (if you read all the fine print). i was also charged $100 per night when it only states per stay so was $200 (i was not happy to get caught out like that) that's not cool for those that may not be able to afford it. I know people will say this is standard but i have stayed many places here and abroad and not had this situation without prior warning. The room was great the fridge had a sauce stain left in it and the only thing that would have been really handy for us is a microwave and bowls to eat from, more so for our Baby.

I had an amazing experience at this hotel! It was surprisingly affordable considering the quality it offered. The location was perfect, and I enjoyed taking leisurely walks around the lagoon in the morning and hitting the gym. The staff were incredibly friendly, and what impressed me was their willingness to let us relax in the lobby at 3am while waiting for our Uber Eats delivery – a really cool gesture. Overall, a great stay with good value for money.

My stay at the hotel was not without its drawbacks. One major inconvenience was the absence of a microwave in our room. Additionally, the shower was quite frustrating as it couldn't maintain a consistent temperature. On the upside, the bath was enjoyable. Another suggestion would be to have a Chromecast connected to the TV, allowing guests to stream their own content. This is just me being nit picky though will happily come back in the future.

Location, parking, nice hotel that is more convenient than CBD stay

Pillows. Too big & poofy. Got a sore neck & couldn’t get comfortable. Other thing to consider if you book the gallery suite, the room is located up stairs & the windows are only covered by venitian blinds. If you need it pitch black like me then this will be too bright. Other than that the the rooms are great, hotel itself is nice, parking is great. Would stay again but choose a different room

Im well travelled and this was one of the BEST places Ive ever stayed. Rooms serviced daily. Restaurant, bar, gym, spa & pool all on site. Sylvia park mall walking distance away. There was really no need to leave. It was perfect. Heavy drapes for a dark room, powerful heatpump that cooled us quickly. Lots of places to rest and explore around the hotel. View was amazing. If you’re thinking of staying here - DO IT! You won’t be dissatisfied. We’ll be back!

Just the tv wasn’t smart. They need YouTube/netflix/ disney etc.

Location. A huge well maintained complex. A great size room that had 2 x queen beds in it. A good bathroom that had a shower and a bath in it.. Plenty of parking space. A great place to stay and would again.

Although crockery and cutlery was supplied, there was no microwave to heat up anything. Also, being that it's winter time, and with summer sheets on the bed, I would have thought there would have been electric blanket on the beds as well However, it is still a nice place overall to stay. I definitely can't complain about the Hotel or its staff, and would stay there again.👍

We travelled with two children for the night who were delighted as we were with the room, the beds and the bath. The beds were comfortable with enough room for all. The rooms were clean and well appointed.

We enjoyed our stay at the Waipuna very much right up until check out. We were querying the cost of the buffet meals (which was superb) for the two children with us, one of whom was 2 years old. We inquired on the lovely young lady at the front desk who deferred us to, we presume, was her senior. Her indifference to our query and the inference it was our responsibility to let the restaurant staff know how old the children were. At the time I had advised the restaurant staff that there were 2 adults and 2 children eating. They did not inquiry at the time as to their ages. We received a credit for 1 child which we are grateful for but to be honest did not really want our interaction with the senior to be the last memory of a really great stay
