The room was very large and comfortable. Not enough lighting though . The beds were very good. My husband would give you a 10, I am not happy with that. An 8 is enough for me. I liked the buildings, the castle looked nice. We had dinner in the hotel once. Very small pretty meals, but they tasted very good

The breakfast was quite good, but the bread was not up to scratch. Even freshly cut french bread was stale very quickly. I was not impressed. Housekeeping was not good enough. Sure the room looked nice, but crockery we left after dinner (we took desserts to our room) was not taken away until we left it outside our door. Reception staff could have been a little friendlier

Hotel is a few kms outside the village of Vaals. Nice area for hiking or cycling. It is pretty standard luxury, nothing that will surprise you. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food in the bar and restaurant was nice! We walked to the Lodge for lunch and went to Voncken in Vaals to buy delicious 'vlaaien'.

Some of the electric car chargers did not ... charge. Little to complain about or it must be the lack of lights in the room. I find out booking via Booking.com is cheaper than via the hotel directly. Limited selection of beers in the bar.

The staff, facilities, room, breakfast, and location were all great! Thanks to the extremely hospitable staff, you feel welcome in every part of the hotel which is quite unique in the Netherlands. The location was fabulous as well- in the middle of nature where you can have a great hiking experience with the beautiful hills of the south. The room was very clean and comfortable as well. The small gifts in our room were quite a nice touch to the overall experience. There was a variety of options for the breakfast as well as for dinner and everything was super lekker! :)

We called reception twice from our room to order bathrobes and slippers, and later in the night, some tea. On both occasions, we needed to go and pick it up from the reception. When you are in full relaxation mode after tiring hiking, all you want is accessibility without a lot of effort. Lastly, I am used to paying a small rental price for bathrobes in spa centers, but I was surprised when I have been asked to pay a rental price for the bathrobes in a four-star hotel/castle which is not a spa center.

Breakfast, overall restaurant food quality, room, location all good. Overall a pleasant experience. Since it was my wife's birthday and I had requested them beforehand to sing happy birthday during the breakfast - they sang and that too in a complete group of 4 persons from their side. They also offered us free champagne. They also put a birthday card in the room. Also, I had requested for a late checkout at 12:00, again because it was a special day for us. I am very happy that they accommodated the request.

Only thing bit disappointing was that we thought that we would stay in the castle itself but the hotel was adjacent to the castle, of course within the castle property but not in the castle itself. The breakfast was there in the castle which was good.

The staff are very kind and helpful except for room service.location is amazing and the nature is exceptional.

Room service they just would not listen and keep taking our second card ended up with sick baby because if cold.breakfast was limited and get less and less during the week but honestly staff helped alot and they git me what i needed

It was not the first time we spent here and it was always very nice here. However, this time there were some issues with the room: second key card did not work although it was reprogrammed and replaced a couple of times, the light in the entrance and the coffee mashine did not work, bathtub drain was leaking. Also the pool temperature was rather cold this time.

Peaceful Quiet Hotel. Nice Saunas and pool for 5 year old. Bar managers were very helpful with my daughter and I appreciated them sourcing out some delicious chicken nuggets for her.

I was asked to pay for breakfast when I checked out. This was not correct and I felt that the receptionist was lost. Be careful to ensure that if you do not take the breakfast that an additional charge is not put on your bill. Everything tends to get booked out very quickly - There were no possibilities for massages. The restaurant was full.

Beautiful location in the hills of Zuid-Limburg, thirty minutes from Maastricht en 15 minutes from Aachen. Lovely pond-side café and bistro. Nice on-site restaurant. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast buffet.

It’s a long walk outdoors from the rooms to the breakfast hall. Rooms could do with an upgrade: updated plugins for devices, walk-in shower, larger tv screen. Also, they ask you to save nature by reusing towels, but then replace them daily anyway.

Very nice and quite location, beautiful castle, very good breakfast.

We droven our E Auto but could not recharge it in hotel without vattenfall member card and hotel could not help it. There is no Info mentioned on Hotel website that guest needs to have a special card to recharge the car. Finally I found solution to download vattenfall chargein App and register with credit card to recharge my car.

The hotel room was really nice ,but we miss the bath in the bathroom as we book room with bath

No bath in the bathroom, really cold water in the swimming pool ,and one more important think ,on day of arrival we payed 7.50 for room service (brakefast) the next day ,but in time to check out we have to pay almost 23 euro on service room for 3 people ,didn't have the time to argue so we pay in total almost 30 euro for room service, for brakefast
