Bastion Hotel Utrecht

Had all the essentials. Friendly staff.

Poor lighting in the room. Not close to anything and not easy to access if biking. Their booking system is a little 'aggressive'. We got confirmation of our booking which included all our card details for payment then got another email stating the booking is not confirmed until payment is made and if payment wasn't made they could cancel the booking, despite having our card details.

The room was big and bathroom was clean. The staff who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. They booked me taxis when I needed them and gave me information about the area.

The room smelled like very pungent perfume and it irritated my asthma. It was quite expensive, especially considering how far it is from the centre of Utrecht. The bar was closed but I believe that's common in hotels here.

The facilities were great, especially the fridge. The beds were comfortable. The room was large. There was a blackout, but the response by the staff was appropriate. We were moved to a new hotel in Amersfoort that was just as good.

I wish it weren't so far from a station. I didn't realize that Utrecht was such a big area. It can be confusing when the location of a place is simply Utrecht. Motorists won't mind.

The location is geat as the hotel is very close to the tram and bus stops, and is clearly visible from the road. The rooms are nicely structured and comfortable. The bedlinen and towels were clean, plenty of toiletries.

Unfortunately, I dropped sth. under a bed, and when I was collecting the item, I saw some dust under the bed.

it is a shame the property itself is not refurbished. they have excellent customer service and it would increase their bookings if it was a little modernized and taken care of

breakfast was good, hotel seems a little old, but clean and tidy. Parking just by the hotel and secured by night. Public transportation in proximity of the hotel.

Price is a little high for the facility, but OK. The closeness to the city + parking are worth the higher price.

The room was comfortable and clean and there were good facilities at the hotel that I didn’t use

It has a high security fence and gates which make you wonder why they are needed. That is: is this an unsafe place? They did not make me feel welcome and made the property hard to access

It was very clean, I LOVED the shower, so clean and nice. The staff was super nice as well! Bus and tram around the corner, about 10 min ride from city centre and station. Will return next time for my event weekend!

There were some drunk guests screaming ib the middle of the night. It would be nice to have some staff to take care of this during those hours.

The bed was comfy, the tram was nearby into the city

We had to ask for full size towels The staff was complaining about their job and slow to help The fire alarm went off a few times

Breakfast very good unfortunately didn't realise how far away from relations we were but that was our fault

Fact that the restaurant doesn't open Friday, Saturday or Sunday rediculous
