Everything about this stay was superb and blew away our expectations! What a beautiful property that has been so thoughtfully designed and furnished. Our room was extremely cosy and got plenty of natural sunlight - the balcony off of the bathroom is where we spent most of our time when we weren't walking and exploring the town! What's more, the staff are just so kind and sweet. The breakfast spread is extremely generous and I let Domi know that due to our early check-out the next morning, we would need to skip breakfast. She offered to prepare a bit of breakfast for us to take with us on our travels ahead of time, truly going above and beyond. Our MUZE experience really elevated our time in Utrecht and we cannot wait to stay here again in the very near future!

Absolutely nothing - everything was exceptionally fantastic at MUZE.

What a jewel of a hotel! There are only 6 rooms - each decorated totally individually and uniquely. The house is from the 1800's, and was a labour of love to restore and repurpose. I chose the hotel originally not only because of location and price, but because it has a lift - a real bonus anywhere in Dutch cities (other than the big chain hotels). The lift has been ingeniously fitted into the house - fits one human and a suitcase, but certainly does what it is intended for. We had rooms on the first floor, so only used the lift for the luggage. The stairs and narrow and steep - it is Holland, after all! Our hosts - I cannot say staff- were not only pleasant, but truly happy that we were guests. The continental breakfast was original, fresh, and served oh so beautifully either at the communal dining table, in the kitchen area itself, or in the conservatory behind the kitchen, with a view of the garden. There were tables and umbrellas in the garden, and a safe place for cycles. Parking is available, but expensive, and is on the street - if you're lucky, right at the door. The house faces the outer "Singel" canal, and it's a very short stroll into the inner old city, which is enclosed by that canal. Hosts are only there to greet guests until 6 pm, so you need to plan for that. We awoke to the smell of fresh cinnamon buns...how decadent! We didn't meet the owners, but Julie (above and beyond, guiding us in by telephone when my smart phone went on strike ), Piet, Jesse and Daphne were formidable ambassadors for them. If you are lucky enough to stay at this property - give them our kind regards!

My partner and I were really impressed with the friendly receptionist. She was very helpful and took the time to answer our questions and provide recommendations. The location is great, in a quiet area (with a beautiful room view of the canal and park!) but also just a quick walk to the shopping streets and bars and restaurants. The breakfast was very nice, and we appreciated how easy it was to get to Amsterdam airport for our onward travel.

It's good to know that their are quiet steep stairs at this property, but there is a lift available.

A sense of calm and space, even though it is in a central and potentially busy location. The people obviously enjoy making guests welcome.

The location next to the canal and the perimeter road of the old city means there is a bit of a choice between slightly noisier but beautiful views, versus quiet and a view of the garden at the back. The famous Utrecht carillon and bell chimes as well as the road in front are a factor in this choice - we couldn't decide which we would prefer!

Beautifully redone small inn/hotel. Parking is available at the train station nearby. Breakfast and staff were both great. We stayed in the "coupe" room which was quite small, but the bed was very large and comfortable.

Dropping off bags before parking our car at the train station was a bit tricky since there was a lot of traffic on the street in front of the hotel and only pay parking, but we got it done and hopefully didn't get an electronic ticket.

The Breakfast was great, Fruits, Joghurt, Bread, Cheese, Fresh Juice, it was a feast. :) Real good quality. I slept like a baby, despite the heat outside, the room was well tempered. The bed was ultra comfortable.

Only negative thing is that the internet doesnt work properly. except for the bad internet, i was absolutely positively surprised. my expectations were exceeded.

Breakfast was disappointing with no fresh pastries or bread available despite bakeries being nearby. They were all pre-bought and heated up in a microwave. Eggs were only offered hard boiled

We booked this hotel because all of the hotels closer to the Utrecht train station were booked. We didn't know it was a holiday. But it was a great location for us, my relatives live just 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. We will stay here again next time we are in Utrecht. We loved the balcony overlooking the canal and park across the street. Late checkout, for a small fee, was nice.

We stayed in the Science room which is a spacious room on the first floor with a lovely balcony. Great bed and shower. We enjoyed our breakfast on the balcony in the sun most days. The hotel is very central with easy access to the main streets with all its shops and cafes.

We loved everything but be aware of very steep stairs to get to the first and second floor. There's a small elevator but it only goes to the first floor.

Charming little hotel at a convenient location. Even though I arrived in the middle of the night and the hotel doesn't offer 24/7 reception facilities, the owner welcomed me and did everything to sort a little problem out. highly recommended.
