NH Groningen Hotel

such a warm welcome - I have visited this hotel before COVID19 every week for work - now I only come 1-2x per year; despite of this I was warmly welcomed by the staff as well as found nice little goodies with personal welcome message in my room. Room was (as always) comfi, light, clean - bed is good, and I like the water cooker in my room (coffee/tea). Despite central location the room is not noisy - well-working elevators and an excellent breakfast. So thanks for providing this stable and warm quality!

Room was large and good views of the city centre, comfortable bed with large shower room. Huge selection of food for Breakfast and timings (7-11am) meant you could sleep in and still have a good breakfast. So close to the City centre we walked in every day to eat, with good selection for vegetarians.

A few tables and chairs were left out overnight from the Hotels Cafe, however this encouraged a few wafes and strays to use this facility to drink in comfort virtually all night. One night we were disturbed till 4am with loud talking. Maybe these could be put away or covered overnight.

We had a mid-level room with a view of the Groningen core and it was lovely. The hotel is a short walk from the historic district and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast selection was outstanding and food was replenished constantly.

Our regular cleaning lady, who was great, was off on the weekend and her replacement put minimal effort into cleaning the room.

The hotel is very well located, close to the city center, and easily accessible. The breakfast options provided were good, good atmosphere. I appreciated that the hotel allows pets, a great bonus!

No parking facilities are offered. The check-in was very long, inexperienced staff took a long time while we came with an elderly lady who required a room rather quickly. Also, the furniture needs an upgrade, some pieces are damaged. And the beds are super hard!

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I got everything I needed right away and with tremendous understanding from the staff. I recommend it for anyone cares about personal service. They also welcomed my dogs and got me beds and bowls for them!

shower handle was a little bit complicated to use, but the staff helped with that anyway.

I had a beautiful view from my room. I was welcomed nicely by the people at the reception. And the breakfast was great. The location of the hotel was nicely close walking distance to the city center and right next to the UMCG for my work.

The rooms were a bit noisy to people walking in the hallways. I could hear people walking there a lot and needed some earplugs in order to not be awoken by them.

Excellent room and hotel, all facilities available in the hotel areas and reception service. Very fresh and warm food cooked in breakfast with a lot of choices for eating and drinking. Good proximity with bus station coming and going back to the train station.

The distance from the city center and shopping area in 15 minutes by foot. I would like to get personal carpet slippers for using in the room during my stay in the hotel.

The room was very clean, staff was very nice, and answered all our questions happily. The beds were very comfortable, and the room was spacious.

My only complaints were that the bathroom was very cold. It warmed up a little when we left the bathroom door open to allow the heat from the room. But as soon as you shut the door, it became almost the temperature outside. The orher thing that could be improved was there could have been a second chair or another small side table in the room. There was a lot of space and an extra table would have made it a little nicer.

everything within walking distance, city Centre, bus stop, short ride to the train station. size of the room is good we could fit all our suitcases easily

FOOD:- restaurant menu was limited not alot of options breakfast was simple basic Thanks we got an early check in 🙏🏽….. but only to be given the wrong room which had a guest inside so few moments of confusion between us all🤦🏽‍♀️

The NH Groningen is a very comfortable, modern hotel with all the features and efficiency you would expect from a 4-star hotel. Its big plus is that the old town is only a ten minute walk away. There are many eateries, pubs, bars and shops in easy reach. Part of the reason for this is that a quarter of the city’s residents are students studying at the places of learning. Good, secure (though not covered) parking for my motorbike.
