What did I not like? Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The building is just amazing with a lot of original features, the room was a good size for a single, and also had a spacious bathroom. It's perfectly located on the Grote Markt with lots of restaurants and all the sights and shops nearby. Comfy bed. Great shower (and also a bath). Good breakfast with lots of options. And all of this for a really good price.

It was a little bit warm in the room, and the window didn't open. But nonetheless I slept really well. And they said they have plans to install A/C next year. So it won't be a problem any more then.

The room was comfortable and the mattresses on the beds were great. Breakfast ended earlier than we expected but they brought a plate for my son, yogurt with fresh fruit and a croissant - all very good! The location is great for exploring on foot around the historic center.

The hotel is in a pedestrian area and we were told we could drive up to the hotel to unload our car but were not given instructions on which street to use so we ended up on the wrong side. We gave up and parked in an underground lot and left our luggage in the car.

Nìce hotel with atmosphere. Located right at the Great Market (with Restaurants, cafes, Sightseeing, Shopping and more nearby) in an typical old dutch house. The Breakfast was delicious, served at the table. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had a rainshower in our room and although there were a celebrating at the Great Market in front of the hotel it was not loud. (I have to mention that our window was to the backyard).

The hotel is location in the very city center! And yet the room was very quite though there is a busy bar in the same building! Also, the staff was polite and responsive. We stayed there for a birthday of my husband, and we got a nice greeting card and a bottle of wine 😊 As one more compliment, we got a pair of free drinks at the bar. So, we can fully recommend this hotel for short city trips!

The room's interior was a bit old though everything functioned well.

The staff was really friendly and remembered us by face. When you leave the premises, you hand in your key at the reception and the woman at the front desk could immediately give us our key back with the right number after just a look :)! Spacious room. Nice rain shower separate from the bath.

At night it was hot in the room. There's no aircon. The woman at the reception desk did tell us they were working on changing this around September. That was the only con.

The staff make this hotel absolutely wonderful. During the booking process, I mentioned a request for a bath. Not only did they respond promptly to my request, but upon my arrival I found the kindest hand-written note suggesting where to buy bath salts to enjoy the bath to it's fullest. The ladies at reception were sweet and attentive every time I passed through the lobby. The hotel itself is in an incredibly central location, making the value for money amazing. The decor, also, has wonderful old-world charm, which I love. However, it's the staff who are the true standout. What a lovely experience!

Very central and very unique. Our hotel has a bar that is one of the biggest bar/restaurant in europe with a very unique feeling.

Because it was so central, and it was the Kei Week, there were parties every night so we had difficulty to fall asleep. The room didn’t have A/C which, in our week that it was hot temperatures made it a bit uncomfortably sometimes.

Staff very nice, helping with everything.

Fire alarm at 2:30 in the night was not a pleasant experience. After half an hour of staying in front of the hotel, after checking everything by firemen, we were allowed to go back to our rooms and beds. I do not know why it occures, but Please, do not try to smoke in your room!

Staff really welcoming. Great location. Quirky and not corporate, amazing breakfast, 24 hour reception with hot drinks always available.Quiet inside, despite being in the thick of the busiest part of the city. The sister pub next door supplies menu and bar service, giving it better choice than you would expect from a little hotel.Palatial bathroom with very long bath as well as walk-in shower. Windows open for fresh air. Amazing value.

The Hotel is centrally located, right in the Grote Markt area, close to all the nice restaurants and bars, museums (the Groninger Museum is 10 minutes walk away). We have been offered an upgraded room (very sweet of them), I believe it was the Deluxe One, very spacious, the bed was comfortable and the windows were cancelling the noise from the center, it also had a big bathroom + shower. The design is more classic, less modern furniture, however it’s lovely. The receptionist was very welcoming as well. I also loved the fact that they took the time to write a note and leave it on the bed for us ❤️ I recommend you all to book this pretty place in the center of Groningen! ❤️

I only stayed a night, nothing really negative to comment.
