Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Doorwerth - Arnhem

Room exceeding expectations, really good and spacious. Beds very good and comfy. Room carpets a bit tired but clean. Bathroom spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of breads and their scrambled egg was the best I've had for long time and had a nice consistency. Good choice of breads and hygienically covered for those who like to slice theirs. The butter was real Dutch creamy butter and the honey easily the best I've had in a hotel for a long time.

The step into the bath for shower a bit high. There was a support handle for the bath, but none for the shower and I need one. Towels supplied but no facecloth. (washandje in Dutch). Tiled toilet floor a bit slippery at times, needed to be careful. We didn't find the cooked meats for breakfast attractive and "cheap". They said book restaurant but when you arrive in the evening you can't book beforehand. Restaurant staff not very accommodating even when there were free tables but ok later on. Settle the bill up front before even seeing the room and not being able to book meals and drinks to the room. Never happened before in the many hotels I've stayed in.

The location of the Hotel is really optimal, it's a calm place on a cityside amoung the trees. The dinner was fine, the staff was really kind, however I found it funny when I went to the restaurant to ask for a table, then I was sent to the reception to make a booking, the lady at the reception called on internal phone the same gentleman I talked before to ask if he can have a table for me (talking about a distance of 10 m). Then I returned to the restaurant and had to explain that I have just had a booking for dinner. Couldn't beleive it was happenning :-)

The reception, bar/lounge area seemed to have been renovated and gave a welcoming atmosphere. The room was still in need of renovation, except for the shower, which was modern and had great water pressure. They have a pool and well fitted gym with all the equipment you might want or need, including weights. There's also a swimming pool. There were free coffee (cappuccino, latte, tea) and cookies and muffins in the morning, that was nice.

The rest of the hotel still needs renovation.

We had an upgrade to a suite room and it was super spacious and the beds were the most comfortable we had ever slept in! We both had great night's sleep every night! The room could have benefited from some aircon or better ventilation but the hotel kindly provided a fan.

Just slightly more ventalation and proper mugs/cups instead of paper ones for tea.

The place where is located is beautiful. In the middle of the Doorwerth forest where everywhere you see is green !

Even tough the hotel is nice, there are some things they could improve. Carpets on corridors are dirty and stained and rooms doesn't have Air Conditioning for hot days.

We arrived early evening and the reception staff were efficient and helpful. Plenty of parking. Clean and spacious rooms.

Because we only got to the restaurant 30mins before closing we could only have a main course and no desert. The main course was very good I'm sure we would have enjoyed the desert equally.

It was a beautiful location, very green with a big lake and lost of grass. They had enough parking and the hotel itself was clean with a spacious room. The outside pool was lovely and we spent the evening sitting on the terrace drinking wine and having dinner. The breakfast was also great, a lot of things to choose from: pancakes, eggs, rolls with different topping, etc. It was lovely! Also very COVID-safe! Staff was wonderful as well, it was easy to make a change to the booking.

The bathroom was a bit outdated, but it was clean and big enough. That’s really the only “minor” thing!

Lovely woodland location with nice grounds and a swimming pool. Public areas very modern -- pleasant reception staff -- excellent breakfast. Room adequate for a short stay (see below)

The bed in Room 82 needs replacing -- the mattress is very uncomfortable -- the corridors are "tired" with worn carpets.

Beautiful location, great food … especially enjoyed the menu items with delicious cod fish and tuna .. friendly staff. Electric Car Charging points available at the parking spots near entrance of the hotel. The room was excellent with a separate living room space with desk and sofa and seats .. really enjoyed the stay

Great decent sized room and super comfortable bed. Ample stock of coffee (an actual coffee machine 😍). Staff very welcoming and informative on arrival; explained all the facilities available clearly and warmly. Breakfast was amazing!! Everything thst you'd want was available and super tasty.
