Het Wapen van Elst

Oh my, this staff was sooooo friendly. It was a weird way of halls to find the room, but with their advice I found it and it was not the biggest room ever, but it had all the amenities you might need and the shower was very big. The breakfast had so many choices (warm, col, savoury, sweet...). Very good coffee!! And they keep filling the buffet up until the end. They also had a parking lot for cars and a parking space away from the busy streets for bikes and mopeds. Also the restaurant/bar below the hotel is great. Good food and friendly staff.

The bed was a bit too soft for my taste, but I prefer a very hard mattress.

Good location in the town centre and close to my cycling route. Although it was very busy when I arrived - it was a public holiday, there was a street market outside, the town was packed with visitors and the hotel terrace was packed with diners and drinkers - I was greeted, quickly checked in and shown the room in which I could store my bike. The room was quite small but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was quite modern and the shower was good. I had good evening meal in the restaurant Quiet rooms The breakfast was good

Quiet, easy to get to, good restaurant room was spacious as was bathroom. Easy walking to station grocery store and shopping nice village atmosphere

The parking situation. we arrived as the school was getting out no parking available for about half hour had to park well down the street but the rest of the days we just made sure to get back after 15:30 needs better lighting to the parking lot along sidewalk or better motion sensors the turn lights on sooner

Location was excellent. Excellent air-con. Fantastic breakfast. Pleasant staff. Our room was in the 'new' extension at the back of the hotel and clearly modern. We did walk through the 'older' part and past rooms that looked 'dated'.

Parking - Very limited spaces in the car park. Unable to park until late into the night so had to park on the street. It was explained to us that the car park is always full in the evening due to restaurant patrons.

A clean and comfortable room overlooking the street from a nice balcony. A good practical bathroom with a powerful shower. The hostess at reception was very efficient and accommodating. The staff were friendly . The town is a well ordered and attractive providing an excellent post dinner stroll after a good meal at the attached hotel restaurant and bar! There is secure parking at the back which can sometimes get full so an earlier arrival by car may be to your advantage. Looking forward to my next stay.

Unexpectedly good hotel and restaurant on the village main shopping street. Free parking out front (blue zone, so okay from 18:00-09:00, otherwise parking disc required). Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very small (I had a "small double room" to myself and still found it small), but it was modern, clean, and well-appointed. Very comfy bed, TV, tiny fridge, and airconditioning. Great rain shower, hair dryer. Excellent breakfast buffet with plenty of choices (there were also bacon, scrambled eggs, and American pancakes). (Would have liked to have seen ketchup available - probably would have gotten it if I had asked (could only find mustard) - and maple syrup for the amazing pancakes, but that's harder to get in this country, and expensive.) I also had dinner in the restaurant - very tasty choices, large portions. Prices were very reasonable considering what you get. Would certainly stay here again.

Small hiccups with my order in the restaurant, but nothing that affected my enjoyment, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, and the food excellent.

Great location. Able to accommodate motorcycle parking off street (Although this is limited if several of you arrive) There is free public parking adjacent which appeared quiet as our room over looked it) Rooms comfortable. good breakfast. bar/restaurant facilities good. Staff extremely helpful.

Friendly efficient service and staff that let you get on with it with the minimum of fuss. Helpful and friendly staff who are there when needed. Het Wapen van elst is a nice place to have a meal, drink, coffee as well as a great place to stay. You don't need anything else. We loved our stay at Het Wapen Van Elst.

Clean and tidy, lovely location generally quiet. Staff were excellent. Friendly, helpful and easy going.

The vehicle charging facility require you to have a specific card but no knowledge of how I could get one as a tourist.

Excellent reception, the lady is fantastic. Dinner OK-ish, (if you put 'meringues' on the menu, please google what that is (..)). All in all very good stay, good modern equipped room. We can recommend this place, value for money is excellent.

Mattrasses a bit soft. A couple of hooks and an extra planchet in the bathroom would be appreciated.
