Hyatt Ziva Cancun

We traveled with a baby and the resort is big enough to be fun, but everything is close enough that it made walking with a stroller so easy. The dinners were great, the beach is beautiful, the pools (with and without shade) were fantastic, our baby loved seeing the dolphins. The rooms are perfect, with great beds and shower. Room service is included and very fast.

The daytime events at the pool (for example bingo) are way too loud (so much screaming for only 10 people playing), if you can book the rooms that are facing the ocean (not the dolphin pool) you can avoid this noise, at night the noisy side also faces the outdoor "theater" area so it is loud until around 9-10 PM when the events end (which many people won't mind but with a baby, it wasn't great). The spa is very pricey even though the experience is great. The A/C is very cold in the rooms, we tried every setting and it was still super cold.

Everything. Fantastic value for money for sure. Loved the pool and the beach area v well maintained. Would return for sure.

We were staying there as part of our long vacation in Mexico, to have a last stop of relaxation and we definitely got what we needed. The hotel provides lot of food, drinks and sweets, the restaurants are well designed and it felt you were sitting in a high class restaurants. Excellent service, they are paying extra attention to your comfort and satisfaction. It was very nice to see the dolphins swimming and playing along the day. The hotel has 2 beaches were you can enjoy the amazing colored water.

Neat property, best quite beach in the hotel zone. Overall superb staff service. We stayed for 25 days.

Food quality and variety could be better, and restaurants staff service could improve. Music in pool area too loud. However, none of these points are a dealbreaker

Had problems with housekeeping cleaning room in timely fashion and leaving linen blankets etc for sofa bed. Also don’t recommend booking excursions at hotel- expensive and poor quality. Otherwise a very nice resort and very clean. Covid precautions followed very well .

Staff

I’m liked the location, the hotel was surrounded by the ocean. The staff was very friendly as well

I didn’t like how cabanas were placed in front of beach chairs. Giving us the view of the cabana and not the ocean.

I have to say it's the best all-inclusive Hotel I have ever experienced. Very good food with so many different varieties. I like the bed, supportive and comfortable. We really appreciate the efforts that the staff has made during our stay. They always kindly help us with whatever we need and are always self-restricted with Covide discipline. They carefully clean the beach and provide a great environment for the guests. They arrange all kinds of activities to enrich our life there. We have spent an unforgettable new year in Hyatte Ziva. We want to say thank you Hyatte Ziva!

The food was nice. The Italian restaurant and the French restaurant were great. The two swimming pools gave the guests a choice so if one was too crowded you can go to the other. The beach was a mixed bag (actually they have two separate beaches but they were both invaded by seaweeds.

The beach was not the best beach to swim in but it was not the resort's fault. It was due to the seasonal seaweed invasion.

It was probably never the best idea to go to a resort as a solo digital nomad traveller but I did still have a great time at Ziva. I was very impressed with the range of facilities. It felt like being in a large mall with every possible need being handled. The buffet restaurant was consistently very impressive with a wide range of choice, attentive staff and plenty of space. The fitness centre was fantastic with all the machines, racks, free weights you could possibly need. Got in a seriously good workout :). I checked out some of the entertainment and it was fun (albeit a little pricey). Bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

Wifi was slow / a bit hit or miss sometimes. If you need to go to bed early for a tour the next day or something then I highly recommend earplugs as the entertainment is quite loud
