avid hotels - Tijuana - Otay, an IHG Hotel

Prefect location to family and border crossing! Plenty of parking! Quick and easy check-in! The rooms and the beds are nice and always love the black out curtains! The a.c. as always on point on the hottest days I visit! This is my 5th time staying. The only thing missing is a swimming pool! And lastly the coffee machine are on point! Not having to rush and find coffee in the morning is a great plus!

It's a new hotel which is always an advantage. Parking was convenient, the receptionist was helpful (I asked for a room change because my original room was cooled to freezing temperatures, plus the WiFi code didn't work for some reason), the room was clean and quiet. There was free coffee and tea available, and there is a little shop with salads, sweets, chips etc. The toiletries in the bathroom smelled really nice.

Breakfast was full of sugary and unhealthy items (even the natural yoghurt was sweetened) (I really appreciated the fresh orange juice though). I know it's the same in most Mexican hotels, but fixed showerheads are just not comfortable. The location is kind of away from everything in Tijuana.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. Everything was clean and nicely organized. The rooms where good size for a good price. We had a great nights rest and had no problems with noise in or out of the hotel. We will definitely go back in the future if we travel to Baja California again.

The air conditioning was not as cold as I would’ve liked. I could have asked for assistance with it and probably got it working but too tired and it wasn’t a big deal.

Excellent experience. Breakfast was outstanding and the check-in and checkout were quick. There is plenty of parking and the staff was first class. Overall quiet and very clean.

The room we were assigned had no view. The entrance from the street is confusing and awkward. Similarly the main entrance is awkward.

Our stay was very pleasant and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was a plus. we really enjoyed a good cup of coffee in the morning before heading out.

The whole payment method was a little confusing in the beginning but the staff was kind enough to explain the whole reservation hold for the room to us.

It's clean, the beds are super comfortable. AC works, food is good. They have drinks and few snacks for sale for whatever time. Free coffee.

I understand it's conveniently close to the border but I wished it was just a few bucks cheaper. The lighting kinda sucks if your doing your make-up.

We liked the breakfast, the staff, the comfortable beds, and the cleanliness.

Our key cards kept malfunctioning. We would have liked to have had access to San Diego TV stations.

I liked everything except how the staff knock on the door in the mornings at least twice I stayed for 3 nights and every morning they will knock super early then come back and knock again. i think it should only be one knock or if they see the magnet that says do not disturb to not knock.

very convenient location and good value for money. not the chaepest for sure but if you are looking for an airport overnight this could be the best choice.not bad breakfast and helpful stuff. see you next time

The room is big and the beds are comfortable. There is water, coffee and tea available at all times. The breakfast starts early and there are options of pre-packed hot food, fruit, cereal, pastries and yoghurt.
