Somerset Damansara Uptown Petaling Jaya

Excellent Hotel/Apartments. The properties had a large comfortable living room space to relax apart from just being a bedroom. Location wise as well its excellent being central Damansara and heaps of food options not only in the mall downstairs but around as well. Maybe only downside is there isn't a MRT/LRT nearby, but getting around everywhere in KL/PJ via Grab was great. There is also free parking in the mall. Pool and Childrens play area. The mall downstairs is an excellent plus, as there is everything you need.

One of the apartment's fridge was not working. Also, would be nice if there is washing machine in all apartments and not only double-bed.

Location, size of the room, and security were very good. We were here to attend a cousin’s wedding and the spacious kitchen and living area provided a great gathering area for our relatives. The neighbourhood offered so many dining options and spa/massage services too. 1Utama was also just a short ride away.

We were initially given a fabulous 2-bedroom apt on the 23rd floor with a gorgeous view. Unfortunately, the apt came with 2 king beds, instead of 1 king and 2 single beds as indicated in the description of the room that we had booked. As a result we had no choice but to change rooms which was still fine, although we really missed the view from the first room and the quietness of the high floor from external noises.

Location, walking distance to many good eateries like Village Park restaurant (best nasi lemak!!), Annie One (excellent wanton noodle with pork lard), Sate Kajang etc and next to Starling Mall (Kam Kee cafe, excellent HK milk tea) 😃

Was disappointed that it was advertised & charged a 1-bedroom for 3 pax but extra bed was additional charge. That should be corrected as it was misleading. For our previous hotel bookings in Japan & Australia with Booking.com, there was never a contention.

Spacious room and good for family with 3 children. Water pressure is good and i very interested with hotel that provide high water pressure. Staff so friendly and supportive to customers

Parking always full and need to park far from lift to lobby which is difficult for family have baby. Children playground air conditioning malfunction and need to repair as soon as possible avoid uncomfortable for parents who waiting their child.

Exceptional location within KL. The hotel is literally attached to The Starling Mall and a 10 min drive away from 1 Utama, making it extremely convenient for shopping. It is also surrounded by shophouse eateries at street level. The 2-bedroom apartment is extremely spacious and comfortable (although the air con can get quite cold). Free wifi in the room is strong with no connectivity issues whatsoever. Toiletries and additional items we requested for (e.g., clothes drying rack) were provided. Check-in counter staff are very professional.

The hotel breakfast has much room for improvement in terms of the quality of food.

I like the lady receptionist who served me during my arrival and some of the days during my stay. She is very friendly and helpful. I also like the technician who helped me to connect my tablet to the TV so that I could enjoy my online classes much better. I also like the design of the whole unit especially the simple kitchenette so that I could prepare some simple healthy food when I attended my online courses.

I didnt like the door of the shower room as water could leak out from the bottom of the door. I also find the washing machines were not very clean and the water dispenser does not have warm water.

Huge bedroom, more of a serviced apartment with a small kitchen and living room than a hotel. Had a good gym. Is well located for everything in uptown.

Pool is very big which is great, but the pool area overall feels like it could use a little love. We were visiting family so not an issue for us, but you would need a car to get round KL from here and it's not near the centre if you were planning to sightsee. Generally more of a business hotel than for tourists.

Shower at pool area has motion lights. While one is showering or in the toilet, the lights kept going out when it doesnt detect motion. The time setting is too short. Perhaps, it could be set at a longer period to allow a person to shower or be in the toilet .

I loved everything about this hotel. I'm planning to book again very soon! I love the cleanliness and how spacious it is. I also love how friendly the staff was. I love the ammenities as well. Haven't tried the pool and gym though, but they look nice. The hotel was also connected with The Starling mall which is very convenient. I especially love the breakfast buffet selection since the change the menu everyday. The food tasted great. Would definitely recommend!

The iron was old and the iron plate was rusty, so it burnt my clothes a bit. I would recommend them to check and change whatever old appliances they have. The air conditioning in the liviing room was cold and nice, but in the bedroom was a bit hot. The TV was small, but it's not much of a problem for me since I'm mostly out and about. I tried calling for room service a few times via the front desk but they didn't pick up, maybe because they were busy. Other than that, it was a great experience for me.

A very kind security person welcome us at the drop-off entrance and lead us right up until Reception Lobby on 6th Floor. He was polite, kind and being patience and tried his very best to answer any of our question.

It was a little tricky to have found the control switches for cooking stove and microwave, but we did found it by accident. Management team should have provided a clearer instruction notice stand and put it on kitchen counter.
