Hard Rock Hotel Penang

I had stayed for 2days, breakfast was good and have a lots of varieties. The food is okay, not so delicious but not too bad too. It is just okay but at least they have so much varieties to choose. i love their roti canai section. The roti canai melt in your mouth. So good! i am so happy that they offer 10% discount for hard rock merchandise for in house guests. The swimming pool is great and very big, so it dont feel crowded although lots of guests using the facilities.

We came around 3.00 pm and the registration counter was a big slow. i have to wait for 30mins before theycan entertain me. Once registered at 3.30pm , they told me that the room is not ready yet and they usher us to their restaurant to wait and while or room is ready they just serve fresh mango in a papercup (like it should be serve in glass) and they give us like snack. i think they can do more by offering if the customer want hot or cold beverage instead of just giving a cups of fresh mango. Our room then only ready at 3.45pm after we complained on the lateness. the room need an upgrade and there is dust on the furniture especially on cd player and in cupboard. if you ask me if i will repeat my stay at HRH, my answer is no.

The hotel had a really cool vibe. After travelling in basic accommodation for 2 weeks we splashed out a little more to stay here for 2 nights and we didn’t regret it. The bed was comfy, the gym was great for me, the pool with swim up bar was fab and we used that a lot. Things are more pricey at the hotel but you expect that when staying at a Hard Rock.

The ants, don’t take food with you to the pool that is not sealed as otherwise the ants find a way in. If you have left overs from lunch take it to you room don’t leave it ion the Sun lounger as otherwise the birds or the ants will eat it

Im glad that i paid extra for the vip room & we had the privilege of having our breakfast at the private lounge , though the varieties and choices for breakfast was not that much but we still enjoyed the service and no queue at the private lounge . Room was very clean all the time because the house keeping will come in a clean the room twice a day , and the pool was exceptional...my lil one had so much fun .....

The hotel pillow needs to change , for the price we are paying i dont seems to get a comfy sleep every night due to the pillow ...its not comfortable at all

The staff in all areas were all exceptionally friendly. The shallow pool area was suitable to my little 2.5 year old and she loved it. The beach is only a stone-throw away and allowed easy access. The hotel definitely caters to both kids and adults. One thing that was the most memorable was after 2 days of staying at this hotel, housekeeping must've noticed that I have a little daughter, and so they left a Little Mermaid plush on her bed in the Roxity Suite for her. This human touch was very heart-warming because my daughter's first holiday meant a lot to me.

I wished the live band or music were playing during the afternoon too. But everything is already perfect!

My family and I love Hard Rock hotels. Penang hotel especially because of the access to a private beach. The swimming pool is very family-friendly as it looks like a waterpark, at the same time still has a pool for adults that stretch along the rooms with a pool view. The food was good too. The gym's equipment is just sufficient and was the best as it has a pool view! There are an abundance of food stalls so it was pleasant to just walk a bit outside of the hotel to grab some snacks or local meals. The concierge was very functional and quick to get us a taxi to the airport. We would definitely come back for a family holiday!

As I've been here previously, I would say that the rooms are a bit run down, compared to Desaru (which is relatively new and way spacious) the food choices and coffee machine were quite limited and the dining area was very crowded because of the location being at the end rather than long stretched area (in comparison to Desaru). Room wise, I prefer Desaru better. However, Penang is also a good privacy hotel for a peace of mind ~

Rock Royalty lounge was a plus point - tho the food provided was lesser than I expected (not much solid food, mostly desserts) The Seaview Suite was really comfortable and the mini pantry area was a plus point plus the closest space was huge. The balcony was quite small tho and it would be great if there was a fan installed so sitting outside wouldn’t be too hot. Hospitality wise, all the hoteliers were very friendly and quick to respond to our needs and enquiries. Overall, we had a great stay here and we’re sure to come back again soon!

1. Swimming pool and infant club with pool table. 2. Breakfast variety covers many aspect. 3. Comfortable room, spacious and new furniture set. 4. Below the tv got spacious space to unpack our luggage where not many hotels have such good design. 5. Rain shower is awesome!! 6. Staff miss Keka was kind enough to borrow us the Maxis broadband to use due to no WiFi detected in room 538.

1. Bed would be better if using coconut hask due to back pain after 2 nites. 2. TV channel “Hard Rock Cafe Live“ which should show from 10:30pm on every Fri & Sat nite DID NOT HAPPENED at all. When call to reception, was informed it was disabled long time ago. Felt a huge disspointment on this. 3. Room servise didn’t show up from noon till 3pm ringing our door bell which disturbed our sleep. Then we schedule at 8pm. 4. No WiFi detected due to coverage not wide enough. 5. Suggest to have a small table in front of the sofa so that we can order in room food else no proper place for us to eat our dinner. This would also avoid mess up other areas.

Breakfast was really nice with a very nice variety. Not too much seafood like some other places, which is good for us but we do not eat seafood. Food tasted good too.

The curtains were broken (stuck in the middle of the railing) - couldn’t fully open the curtains. Also the rooms lighting was darker than we would have liked. When our rooms were switched from the family room to the pool view room, staff were helpful, however it took longer than expected in preparing the room.

This is my second visit at this hotel, my main reason for this hotel visit is because of its wonderful swimming pool. My son loves it, my family loves it.

Overall my visit was memorable, the hotel staffs are friendly. Housekeeping schedule shud be flexible. They are forcing to make our room every day at 9.45am whereas we prefer a good sleep after our 7.30am breakfast. Because of that we have to reluctantly rush out of the room. My son was sleeping and wake him up for the housekeeping, cause him to cry for a while. Hopefully this shud be improved. An outside sign system would be good to indicate if the room needs to be clean-up or not. Not forcefully ringing the bell and waiting to clean up the room.
