Taormina Garden Hotel

Everything It may be graded as a 2* but we had nothing less than 4* service from the moment we arrived to when we left. Gianluca and Angelo really are the perfect hosts, friendly, welcoming and attentive. Our room was what we would call "rustic " but it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, we don't need luxury as its just somewhere to sleep. Very comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom with shower and bidet. Fridge in bedroom for those essential cold drinks and air conditioning.. Shared terrace with the room next door . The only thing i think is missing is tea/coffee making facilities but you can buy from the bar and enjoy drinks on the public terrace. Breakfast was great with something for everyone ( hot and cold choices) and Angelo will happily accommodate those with special dietary requirements. I would recommend eating at the hotel,(guests only) Angelo is a superb cook and everything was fresh and so very tasty, he even changed the menu to suit... The hotel is perfectly situated for exploring Taormina and surrounding areas., Just a short stroll from the cable car to get up to the town, local bus stops nearby, shops for essentials and beach gear. The hotel has direct access to local beaches and is just a 5 minute walk from the famous Isola Bella. Thank you Gianluca and Angelo, you're both amazing and made our holiday just that extra bit special

We felt in love with this hotel and all hotel staff. Taormina Garden hotel is small cute hotel with friendly atmosphere, where rooms are surrounded by beautiful garden. Rooms are cozy and clean, breakfast very tasty with choice of homegrown vegetable and fruits, I've also got vegan and lactofree options. We also stayed for dinner and we were amazed. Meals are tasty made with love and served with smile. You cannot experience such delicious food and amazing service in Taormina city center. Angelo and Gianluca make this place special and unique. Thank you for such great stay! We highly recommend!

I have no idea why this gem of a place is only rated 2 star. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, fridge stocked with water, tea making facilities, hairdryer and safe. And the beds are comfy. Plenty of garden seating and only 100 steps down to the beach - and a parasol provided (free) for shade. The breakfast is AMAZING. I counted 12 different types of fruit on offer each morning, plus meats and cheeses, cereal, juices, pastries, bread and rolls, hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and beans and a selection of cakes and buns. And freshly made coffee (or tea). Seriously, this place can not be faulted IMO.

I can't really fault our stay here. The lighting in the shower room was a bit flickery but that it didn't affect me - and I forgot to report it to reception.

Absolutely wonderful in every way. The room was immaculate , the bed super, comfortable. Gardens and view spectacular Gian Luca was welcoming and very helpful. Beautiful surroundings and touches at every turn. Breakfast by Angelo was outstanding, so many homemade choices including fresh smoothies. Truly exceptional!! Then the dinner, we had to return on our second night for dinner again, he is a spectacular chef! It is also very pretty at night in the restaurant and in the gardens. Overall I highly recommend this lovely establishment.

Absolutely nothing Loved our stay

Beautiful grounds, vegetable garden, access to beach, loads of relaxation areas in the shade! Most of all Gian and Angelo were incredible, they made us feel so welcome and the food they provide there was fresh delicious and in our opinion better than some restaurants in town. Don’t miss Angelos cooking !!!!

Gianluca and Angelo are exceptional hosts. They are so friendly and helpful and did everything they could to make my stay easier and more comfortable. I really appreciated it. The breakfast was great (included eggs, bacon, beans, waffles, pancakes, croissants … anything you can think of). The room was comfortable with air conditioning and a really soft bed. Just steps from the beach and the cable car to take you to the old town.

The room is a little outdated but it was all so comfortable that I didn’t mind. Super soft bed, lots of storage space, powerful air conditioning, mini fridge, and free tea.

Angelo and Gianluca are amazing! The rooms are comfortable and cleaned every day. The restaurant area is cute. Dinner is delicious!! Very close to the beach.

Not a complaint, but for convenience sake, I would recommend having a car if staying for longer than 2 days. The hotel is perfect for Taormina but to get anywhere else without having to rely on buses etc, I would recommend a car (which Angelo and Gianluca can help with too!)

Very friendly and helpful staff, appeared to make an effort to ensure we enjoyed our holiday and offered advise on activities and how best to access them. The room was a good size, beach & tram to Taormina town was very close and convenient, central to everything and bonus of being just above the bay and beach. Would definitely recommend, wish we had taken a few extra days at Taormina Garden hotel - bay is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Plenty of activities available in the area, Isola Bella is very close and within easy walking distance. Good advice from a British couple we met was to take a pair of goggles with you to explore the rocky outcrops within the calm bays all around here. First place we stayed that provided a buffet breakfast, coffee was only provided from the dinning area, but the staff we very helpful - tea, kettle and small fridge with water were provided in the room. Rooms are fairly well spaced apart within the garden. Parking could be booked for an extra 15 Euro per day within the hotel complex which we found helpful. We didn't look into other parking options for this part of the trip and went for the most convenient & stress free option, however there were other parking options in the town and along the road (very busy)

Minor inconvenience - Shower made a bit of a mess (leaked past the side) but the staff provided additional towels to mop up Could be very busy during peak season - but was perfect by the end of Sept (25-27th)

The staff definitely makes this hotel worth it! Angelo is the main guy, he makes everyone feel so special! We really appreciated all his help, he gave us tips on what to do around Taormina. The hotel is well located if you wanna stay near the beaches, there’s a “private” beach where you can go but is also only a 10 min walk from Isola Bella (the most famous beach there). Hotel is near the cable car - 5 min walk and has a few shops around where you can buy a few snacks before going to the beach. The breakfast was unreal! So many different fruits and pastries, everything very tasty and nice. The garden is so so beautiful, it would be amazing if there was a swimming pool!! The room wasn’t that great as is a bit old and wasn’t super clean, but besides that we really liked this hotel. We will definitely go back!!

We loved our stay at Taormina Garden Hotel. The location is perfect, there’s a path down to Mazzaro bay direct from the courtyard, and Isola Bella is a short walk away. It’s close to a few shops and restaurants, and also the cable car which takes you up the hill to Taormina town. Our room was simple and comfortable, it had everything we needed including good air conditioning to keep us cool on hot days. There are bikes you can use around town, and a communal courtyard which is lovely in the evening. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Taormina.
