Relais Cappuccina

We had a very relaxing stay. We arrived early & our room wasn't quite ready. The very helpful man at reception checked us in to another (better) room which we were very happy about. We had 1 very nice relaxing day lying by the lovely pool. The restaurant wasn't open for lunches (possibly too early in season). We were accommodated though & were given 4 options to chose from. A very large & delicious salad was served to us. Great breakfast selection also. Beautiful scenery & good view of San Gimignano.

Walking to San Gimignano wasn't possible as part of the road didn't have footpath. The distance mentioned wasn't entirely accurate. We had a car so no issue for us. Hotel could do with a decor update. Neither of these points would put us off staying in this hotel again. It was very clean & staff were lovely.

The pool was fantastic. When the weather is getting up to 35-36degrees the pool is really lovey yo come back to during the hottest part of the day. Set up really well with loungers and lots of shade umbrellas. Rooms was very comfortable with a lovely outdoor area. Very clean and big bed and a fridge that was very handy. Staff were very helpful, one staff member went above and beyond to help up translate some issues we were having with our tent car company. Great location to walk to wineries for tastings and to be able to walk into town for exploring or for meals. We loved our stay. The breakfast was also very good.

The room was spacious and comfortable with a big terrace with fantastic view. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. On-site restaurant served very good food (a bit pricey, but really good food and worth the money). Buffet breakfast was delicious with many different options, unfortunately coffee came only from a machine and was not freshly prepared. Easy to park (for free) and hotel buildings embedded in nice park environment. Although we could not use the pool (we were there in January), it looks fantastic with an amazing panoramic view towards San Giminiano. A few minutes by car to San Giminiano. Would love to come back one day & can highly recommend!

Overall we enjoyed our stay there a lot, only remark is that coffee at breakfast was from a machine - especially in Italy I would prefer an original and freshly made Cappuccino, cafe, etc ...

Beautiful location out of town. Lovely spacious clean room with balcony. Perfect pool and towels provided. Ate at the restaurant, food was excellent and the staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Checkin was fast and efficient. Massimo on reception was exceptionally helpful. Can’t thank him enough for sorting us a car to our cooking lesson.

There were not enough umbrellas by the pool.

We really like stay in Relais hotel, the room was big with huge balcony and beautiful view. The location was good, very quite and in the beautiful toscany nature. Breakfasts were amazing with hudge selection and perfect view on the pool and San Gimignano. The staff was also very nice. 💞 The parking was free.

The equipment and rooms were little bit old.

Wonderful location with picturesque views of San Gimignano. Easy parking and room offering a lovely view (garden view room). We enjoyed the 1.5km walk to town (fine in May temperatures). Bus route option also available. Highly recommended, but with one easy to remedy restaurant issue.

Although offering a lovely view, the hotel restaurant is soulless. We ate in a dark, silent room with only OK food, with a very inexperienced member of staff. Management please address this issue. I am sure you can improve this quickly.

Location and views. We were kindly upgraded into the Tower accommodation which has a large terrace over looking the pool and views across the valley. Reception staff were very helpful explaining walking route into the town. A very short section doesn’t have a footpath but this is manageable takes around 20 minutes to walk.

Very good hotel in an ideal location, spacious rooms, good breakfast and a beautiful view of the surroundings. Very good value for money. I recommend this hotel

Spacious relais just outside San Gimignano for those who want to relax a bit in nature. We enjoyed the wellness centre, perfect way to decompress after walking around San Gimignano!

It is a big relais so it felt a bit less personal to what I am used to - it seemed a bit “stuck” in time but perhaps it is also because we visited at the start of October where there is a nostalgic vibe to many such places.

Very friendly staff. Very comfortable and spacious. Pool was nice. Great value for money.

I understand that there are some mixed reviews, but we had a great experience. If you are worried about decor (we aren't), then that might be an issue for some. I don't have anything to complain about.
