Hotel Le Renaie

This hotel is in a great location, very close to San Gimignano in a vineyard area. It has beautiful grounds and a lovely interior. Everything was spotless and well-kept up. This was probably the best in-hotel restaurant that we have been in. The cooking of the main dishes and the fantastic panna cotta dessert were unparalleled. We went to the restaurant a little early since like most restaurants, they only opened at 7:30 PM. They were happy to accommodate us with snacks and introduced us to a local white wine. The price for which by buying the whole bottle was far less than glasses of wine had been on previous nights. They even made excellent adjustments for our vegetarian diet. Our room was equally spotless and essentially silent all night since the hotel is somewhat out in the country. The bathroom had wonderful products. The shower was slightly cramped, but the water was hot and the flow of water was excellent. Free parking was in the lot, immediately adjacent to the hotel and inside the hotel fence which made it feel very secure. the Wi-Fi was relatively strong and had good speed. The breakfast buffet was one of the most impressive that we have had on our trip with a wide variety of pastries, breads, scrambled eggs, and other types of good protein, as well as a variety of yogurts and cereals. The little cappuccino machine was easy to work and the cappuccinos, although not piping hot as we would like them we’re tasty.

There was really nothing significant to complain about. The bed was possibly the firmest that we have had, and was the first one where the large double bed actually had a split down the middle. As most of the rooms where we have slept, there were two extra pillows, which was wonderful for us, but took a small search to discover them. As in all rooms where we have stayed on this trip, there was no English channel on the TV.

Everything. Very quiet,relaxing area with breathtaking views of olive groves and vineyards. The breakfast is very good with homemade pie and fruit cakes. The food at the restaurant is delicious and fresh. The staff is welcoming, friendly, and caring. The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful and relaxing. The pool is clean. Again, the staff friendliness and knowledge on the area of interest made this trip worth taking. Pietro, Michael Angelo, the cook, the maids, the afternoon front desk girl went out of their ways to make my stay wonderful. Thank you to the staff. The olive oil and the wine was to die for. I already shipped 6 bottles of wine and 4 bottles of oil back home. Puerto will hook you with wine tasting right next door 😀. I am already thinking of coming back. I highly recommend this hotel.

I liked everything.

We stayed at the property for a week, with a tour after an initial night on our own at the hotel. The hotel is well located for local walks and wine tasting and is very close to San Gimignano. The staff were wonderful and the food was good. The views from the hotel are amazing.

Our room was too warm (we think the air con had been turned off for the season) and we couldn’t open the windows because of the mosquitoes (no screens).

Just a perfect stay! Very friendly staff, always helpful. The location is just great, in the middle of the Tuscan hills and not so far from the beautiful San Gimignano (10mins by car). Rooms are very clean and spacious with a nice balcony. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning and the good food in the restaurant during the evening. Just a perfect location if you want to stress out a bit.

great combination of location - a few minutes away by car from San Gimignano, super quiet location with view of greenery, lovely team, and good restaurant. Would absolutely come back. They also helped us storing our bikes

The friendliest staff ever! I loved staying here - the welcome and service throughout our stay made us feel like we were visiting our Italian relations. A homely feel and delicious home-cooked food. The restaurant served some of the most authentic Italian cuisine I’ve had in a long time.

We've stayed here twice before, many years ago. It's a lovely rustic hotel set in peace and quiet with a lovely restaurant and garden.

The bathroom was very tight for space, especially the shower cubicle....but we managed OK. Nothing that spoiled our stay significantly.

From the moment of check in with Peter it was a wonderful stay. I give a lot of credit to Peter at the front desk and also the men who served dinner and drinks. The room had a nice deck as well and that day was sunny and warm so the desk was a bonus.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This property is beautiful and in close proximity to enjoy all that Tuscany has to offer! The room was spacious and clean. Dinner was delicious, reasonable and breakfast had lots of variety. Staff were very attentive and polite.
