Roberto was a fantastic host! He prepared an amazing breakfast each morning during our stay (cooking mostly everything himself!), and the entire Villa was beautiful. It was exceptionally clean and has every amenity you might need while traveling. Roberto offered information about Modena and really made our stay in the area special. Roberto's son even provided us a personal tour of their balsamico cellars under the property. We had an amazing stay and cant wait to go back! Would highly recommend this stay to others.

Roberto is a most excellent host! He is passionate about both his property and the offerings to his guests - the comfort and elegance of his B&B, the food he offers and prepares for breakfast and the balsamic vinegar he makes in his basement. He is all too willing to make your stay with him and his wife most enjoyable. The location was very convenient to go to Modena and its surroundings.

Everything! Roberto and his son Marcello went far and beyond to make our stay super pleasant and a delight from the first minute to the last! We got tips about where to eat and park in Modena, cultural and historical insights about the region, about food, cars, castles and, of course, the balsamic vinegar. We visited their own traditional production facilities and got a super detailed all-you-can-ask (and taste) tour. The breakfast was amazing, worth every penny! Rooms were impeccable, and the house is magnificent, but it’s truly the hosts that make this place unique. We couldn’t have started off our holidays off a better foot. Grazie mille Roberto and Marcello, can’t wait to visit you again!

The hotel and its room are fantastic. Everything is perectly clean and there is also a beatiful garden in which the guets can spend a very relaxing time. The hotel is really close to the center of Modena and to the main routes. The owner, Roberto, is very kind, always available to help his guets. Moreover, he offered us a free tour of the vinegar factory, part of the property. He explained us very in detail how the original Aceto Balsamico di Modena is made. Really interesting. We will surely come back to Villa Matildis!

We had an amazing time at Villa Matildis-- Roberto was very accommodating and helpful, served us amazing breakfast, showed us around his balsamico vinegar operation, and was generally an excellent host.

Very neat location, very friendly host, very well kept, large fridge. did not expect to find a cantina below the house, which produces and sells traditional aceto balsamico di Modena

airconditioning system could not really manage the temperature, extra charge for the opportunity to park the car inside the property

Exceptional place to stay, great places to visit (Ferrari, Pavarotti) wonderful host family and beuatiful housed and garden, and of course Balsamic Vinegar, the mysteries revealed.

Nice and clean house, quiet and the breakfast was wonderful, never had such a good breakfast in Italy before.

Fee of 10 euro for the car park, we were the only guests and even bought 2 bottles of the aceto so it would have been a nice gesture not to ask 10 euro for the car

The host was very friendly and nice. He made dinner reservations for us. The property is beautiful. Quiet and peaceful. Very well kept and very clean. We felt well.

The old farm house has been turned into a stylish villa. Antiquities and modern art have been combined in a wonderful way.

The location is convenient, but does not offer any special features.
