Now this place doesn't get good ratings but it is an absolute gem. I will explain why. The hotel must have been designed early 80s. It's a rather lovely design but yes it's retro. Many people don't seem to like retro. But at the time it must have been a world ranking hotel. The build may be old but it is superb quality. The rooms are large. They have rotary Honeywell thermostats you can turn down to 15 C. And because it is retro it is cheap. I look at all the other hotels nearby and they have tiny rooms and are expensive. If you can appreciate the humour and novelty of a Thunderbirds style control panel next to the bed then this place is for you.

They need more staff. Breakfasts have great pastries but could do with more savories.

The room was fine and the breakfast good but not much choice of fruit. The hotel is sited well for walking into the city centre, as well as being ideal for the train to Cinque Terre.

On arrival the receptionist was more intent on having a chat with her colleague than providing any information about the hotel other than our room number. When asking later where the breakfast room was 1st floor was the only response with no expansion to guide us to where it was. Decided to eat in the restaurant one evening and was told the restaurant again was on the 1st floor, but as it was 18.30, there was no mention of the minor fact it did not open until 19.30.

The hotel was lovely, very central, close to train station and buses. If you love clothes shopping - 10 minute walk to via Settembre and via Roma. Staff were great, extremely friendly, and house keeping cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast was delicious with variety of cold meats, cereals and pastries, hot beverages etc.. I will definitely be going back.

Although room was dated, it was classy and comfortable. The bathroom needs upgrading.

The hotel is very nice! The indoor parking was great! Very clean and elegant room! Beautiful view from the room! The hotel is located 2 minutes' walk from the train station. Although the hotel is located near the train station, the rooms are very well soundproofed and no noise is heard. A big plus for the kindness of Giuseppe Chianta and the check-out experience offered by him. We were pleasantly surprised to see that he knows how to dialogue even in Romanian.

Hotel was in a good central location and perfect for my visit, my room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was good size and clean, The whole hotel was clean and well appointed and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice.

My only complaint would be that the air conditioning in my room wasn't great, temperatures outside were approx 26/27c and the aircon struggled to make the room comfortable.

The room was very clean, neat and comfortable. Breakfast was generally good. The location was excellent at the centre of town close to all amenities and in walking distance to the touristic sites. We parked our car throughout the visit and walked to all sites. It was useful to have underground parking.

Breakfast was generally good. A bit of variety might be good especially as guest stay longer. The option for omelets as part of the buffet, Perhaps the cost of the breakfast could be added directly to the cost of the room. It might be good to train the staff to be less nervous of racial minorities. It was obvious that some staff were not very used to dealing with clients from different races i.e., of African Heritage and seemed rather biased in their behavior.

Everything was great - super comfortable room, friendly staff and a perfect location if you want to visit the ligurian coast (Rapallo, Santa Marguerita, Portofino etc) since it's right next to the Brignole train station. If you plan on staying in Genova and visiting the city center and historical landmarks, this hotel is still close enough but it would require a taxi or a long-ish walk. We ended up extending our stay in Genova because of how good this hotel was. Make sure to book the deluxe / remodeled rooms, though.

Nothing I can think of. Everything was excellent.

I liked everything. It was not excellent, but good. We called the property and offered 135 Euros per night. When we arrived they told us for two nights we should pay 550 Euros. And they didn't accept the price of 135 per night. So we booked through booking.com it was cheaper

Friendly staff, clean rooms. The cocktail bar was also nice. They served delicious complimentary snacks when ordering drinks in the cocktail bar.

It was too warm at night. The aircon could not be adjusted to the preferred temperature, so I ended up sleeping without a blanket the whole night.

Value for money! Everything was more than good: rooms were great, the sight was great, breakfast was great and the service was great as well. Acoustic isolation of the rooms is noteworthy.

Very little things: - it's not possible to keep the door of the room open - it's not possible to open the windows, not even a little bit - shutting the lights of the room can be a bit tricky, there's plenty of switches
