Miramare Hotel

Staff always in good mood ready to help and chat. Location is the best , nice lido across the street, hotel receptionist gives you free access voulcher every day and you have discount on sunbeds in lido as well.

Breakfast was a little cheap just couple of things to eat not possible to eat for more than 4 days. Ham, salami, toast, some cakes, cornflakes, some jams and thats pretty much it... Also you can hear and see the planes getting off the airport so there is some noise during the day.

Friendly staff,and excellent breakfast,near location sea,and various beach clubs. And lots of trattorias nearby,some half hour walk or less,very good and reasonable prices Lidl is the same distance. Nice walks on pavements along beaches ,sometimes no pavements, and cars +scooters driving on pavements, a bit dangerous. But I enjoyed my 2 nights.

Maybe the windows be double double glazing, as Saturday was disco night,and noise opposite club was a bit too much...till 05.00am.

Close to beach & city. We inquired if they had a day rate as we were leaving on a flight at 11.30pm however we booked one night & used it during the day it was close to beach & airport as well as town so we swam & went to town for dinner prior to our flight

We stopped here for 1 night as we needed to be close to the airport. The room was very clean and functional. No complaints here, airport only 6 mins away by car. It is somewhat noisy from the planes overflying the hotel (not at night), the beach party close by and some music coming from the neighbouring rooms but not terribly bad, we still had a good night's sleep.

The bathroom door didn't close, we let the reception know.

The hotel is old, but the rooms were very clean. I apreciated high beds! They were really comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was agreable surprise.

Even though the hotel is situated nearby the airport, you will need the taxi to get to the airport on time. If you don´t like taking off the planes, avoid this hotel :).

it was a bit dated but kept to a great standard. there was a party on the opposite site of the road and I could hear the music in my room. the taxi from the airport cost €35 even though the hotel looks so close to the airport.

Miramare hotel is comfortable and nice. It’s located near Fontanarossa airport, but if you arrive in the evening the only way you can reach it is with a taxi. In day time there is a bus D, which is your connection with Catania. Also it’s funny to see how the airplanes are landing exactly over the hotel.

Even though it says it´s a mile distance from the airport, it seems that there is no direct road to walk or drive that distance, going to and from the airport is a couple more miles and $25 on taxi

Our stay was quite short and I have not much to share, but all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach pass was a surprise and the swimming on this hot day was amazing!

I think the transfer to the airport is worth to improve, it was seemingly too early for the taxi at 6 am… Travellers can't get the specific information too easily in Catania, Sicily

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free access to the beach was great. The restaurant meal was excellent. Great value for money. Very close to the airport.

Rooms were very dated especially the bathroom.
